I’ll change this to a five star review if you start stocking spice mustard and turn the music down. Otherwise its okay. #ChangeInTheseTimes #ThePeoplesCondiment

A pretty decent Subway that is conveniently located just outside of the Howard Red/Purple/Yellow CTA superstation. The staff is nice and friendly(I have only gone 3 times so far and always on a Saturday). The sandwiches I have gotten every time at this Subway taste delicious and are average in volume. The clientele here are usually a mix of CTA riders and lots of CTA bus drivers given the location to the CTA station. I highly recommend eating here if you like the Subway franchise; you won’t be disappointed.

A more modern looking Subway! Smells really good in here:) Fresh Bread Baking… Ahh… Okay, so this is the story of the Subway that was previously located across the street from the Red Line Howard Terminal on Howard, however for whatever reasons that only Subway knows they have since closed that location and moved into the strip of shops/businesses at the Howard Red Line Terminal. Personally, I think they moved into this strip because they figured they’d get more business there, okay, I like the way that sounds, lets go with that. Okay, so I will admit, I used to frequent Subway much more than I do now. I actually figured out that when Subway says Have it your way what they mean is you can have it anyway you want it as long as you are paying for it! Want extra meat? Sure, only $ 2.00 more please! And, used to be an Oven Roasted Chicken Sandwich was $ 5.00, now it has gone up to $ 6.00 plus tax. Even the fact that it’s 8 grams of fat or less didn’t ease the pain… I think this sandwich also used to be 7 grams of fat or less, geez, Subway make up your mind… And then, they have this sign up saying they have Garlic Bread and how tasty this would be so I tried to order some and they say No Garlic Bread today, am I batting a thousand or what? Also, seems good ol’ Subway now wants to be called/known as Subway Sandwiches and Salads, with good reason cause they stuff your sandwiches with more damn lettuce than anything else! However, I am in love with their Italian Herb/Cheese Bread, so if they want to stuff that bread with a whole head of lettuce for me they are welcome to do so… Also, the interior has been updated, looks modern and sleek, lots of tables with high back chairs, reminds me of a few bars I’ve been in. Hey, if Subway wants to get a liquor license and start serving Miller Lite I’m so there… And, okay, normally I will give props for good customer service because I’m just nice like that. however, the associate who took my simple sandwich order looked like a deer caught in the headlights when I was telling her what I wanted on my sandwich. Like, hold the cheese, No Mayo, lotsa Mustard, oh, and please don’t forget the chicken, yadda, yadda… So, Subway, welcome to your new spot in the Howard Red Line Terminal, may you have great luck and may you continue to stuff lots of sandwiches with lettuce. Nuff Said…
