The Stairs That Cut Through From The Howard Stop To Dominick’s

I am just giggling that a review for this exists. I would never have thought of it on my own, but this is brilliant. Although, it doesn’t seem like enough people know about the «magic stairs,» though. I have seen so many people get on the 22 bus by the train station only to ride it around Howard to whatever that first intersection is by the Dominicks entrance and get off… ummm… you just wasted $ 2.25! You could have walked through the mini-​mall for free!

Thanks to you, I don’t have to walk all the way around the Foot Locker and now-​defunct Hollywood Video.
When I first moved to Rogers Park, lo these eight years ago, you were nothing but an old, rickety metal staircase barely hanging onto the edge of a dirty parking lot. And yet, even then you provided a blessed shortcut from the sketchy confines of the Howard El stop to the Fresh Store’s wide array of vegetable and dry goods bounty.
You’ve seen a lot of changes since then, Stairs That Cut Through From The Howard Stop To Dominick’s. Despite suffering the brief indignity of being dismantled temporarily (I can say ‘temporarily’ now, but for a few agonizing months I wondered if it were ‘forever’ instead), you came back bigger, sturdier and less slip resistant than ever. And the upgrade to an indoor status didn’t hurt, either (nice one!)
