The Arrogant Frog Bar

I’ve been coming here for quite some time considering it’s a dog friendly bar, has a great beer menu and outstanding customer service. The staff here, particularly Zee, and the owner, Narsi, go out of their way to ensure that you enjoy your time at the Frog. There are plenty of TVs which enable customers to watch a number of different things, in addition to free pool (on a rather nice table). This is an awesome neighborhood bar with an incredibly awesome staff.

Awesome beer selection and cool atmosphere. Very vintage feel — pull out bar stools and individual restroom doors. Never seen either of those before.

Great place great people… A very veristile bar neighborhood bar, sports bar, and special occasions .a must check out!!!

Great place to meet up with friends on the weekend! And they have a pool table and lots of TVs! Love the cool bar stools that swivel out from the bar. Charming place that’s always full of nice people.

I came here for St Patricks Day, and had an absolute blast. I had seen it a few times just from living in the area but never went in.
The music was great, people were moving around and dancing, and the owner Narsi is great. Super accommodating to me and my friends.
Can’t wait to go back!

This is the best bar in the neighborhood, real talk… It’s «cheers» type of grand, the bartenders are very sociable and welcoming. Truth be told I’ve been in and out of every bar on the north and south side but finally found my friends at the arrogant frog!
PS they’re not arrogant but very friendly!

Nice neighborhood bar. Great place for meeting up on a date. Their Moscow Mule’s are Da Bomb. Zee the bartender makes you feel very welcoming

They’re definitely arrogant… They decided not to open on Thursday this week. I was there at 7pm, hours clearly state they should be open. Perhaps because it was cold?! I’ll update my review if they happen to be open next time I’m in the neighborhood.

Do not go here if you want a standard cocktail. The bartender we had couldn’t make a manhattan and instead of fessing up or looking up a recipe on, oh say, the internet she made me something horrible with bourbon and a vanilla citrus liqueur. When I saw the color I knew something was wrong and asked to see the vermouth. She didn’t know it wasn’t vermouth and just said «this is the vermouth we use.» Oy vey. Stick to beer!

Nice looking bar. Great prices. No real atmosphere. Sluggish service and a definite college vibe. Meaning, you’re part of a crowd or you are on the outskirts. There was a random guy walking around pouring shots into peoples mouths but there wasn’t the party atmosphere to go with that typical big club behavior.

What a wonderful addition of bars to Fullerton! I came in on a Friday night and the atmosphere was wonderfully refreshing and upbeat. The DJ was playing fun music and they had a variety of beer flights available to choose from. I also enjoyed their craft beer list that included Vander Mill and Two Brothers on the menu. And don’t get me started on the wonderfully kind and open bartender who served us named Narsi!
What really makes a great experience for me is when the servers, owners, bartenders, etc. go above and beyond to exceed your expectations and help you find the exact drinks you may be looking for at the time. I am wonderfully impressed, and I will have to come visit again soon! Thanks for adding such a great place to our Lincoln Park neighborhood!

I’m far too old to be hanging around a college bar! And that’s probably the main reason for the reduced star — if you aren’t like 21 – 24, you’ll feel a thousand. However, if you are young, live it up, super star!
This place has a nice draft beer selection. It has specials each night. On Saturdays (other nights too, I suspect, but don’t know) they have live music.
I went on Saturday night. And it had a perfect crowd. Busy enough to feel out with a crowd, but not so busy that you can’t move. My favorite kind of busy.
The cover band was good. The beer was cold. And the company was nice. Let’s go back to the Arrogant Frog… and feel a little old… but oh well! Who cares anyway!

The atmosphere here is fantastic! We were visiting Chicago for the Big10 10K race weekend and stumbled upon this bar, sooo happy we did, we went here twice while in town.
They have all Midwest brewed beers on tap, bourbon on tap, free pool table, and a very cool retro old timey feel. There are copper countertops and spectacular hand designed chandeliers. While we were there the crowd was pretty slim and laid back but both times we were in and out by 7pm to meet up with the rest of our group.
First time in the bartender was great, informative and carried fun conversation. The second time we were in the man behind the bar was fantastic, very personable, attentive, and carried on conversation with us like we were old friends. After about 15 minutes I realized that we were talking to the owner… a breath of fresh air, a bar owner who is actually down to earth and all about being interested in his patrons and not himself!

I suck at pool but arrogant frog bar helped me not suck.
I don’t know, I love this place. It’s nothing fancy but that’s just it. It’s not fancy, but it takes you back in time.
I loved the chalkboards and local brews. My boyfriend and I had a good time here, cheap drink specials and friendly lady bartender.
Definitely a place to check out if your in the area.

Nice bar with a pool table. They have a few specialty cocktails and 20+ beers but none of them were that impressive. They do give free pretzel rods which was nice! Went in there Saturday evening to start the night off and it wasn’t very many people in there at 8pm.

This bar actually beat my expectations. I came here last Saturday night for a couple drinks and really enjoyed it. It wasn’t super packed; this would be the kind of place to take someone for an intimate drink or if you have a friend in town that you want to catch up with and actually have a conversation. (the 2^nd was my case). Anyways, we tried the Moscow Mule and it rocked, the perfect amount of ginger. The prices here really aren’t too bad for what you get, and the bartenders were great. They also had a movie playing instead of the typical Sportscenter like most places have. So just something that sets this place apart from the crowd.
It’s not much on the outside, but definitely liked my experience here with the décor inside, the quality of drinks & service, and frankly it not being insanely loud & busy like most places on a Saturday night. It’s too bad it’s so far from where I live otherwise I’d go more often.

This place is an awesome place to get the night started! Great specials, like 20 local brews on Tap, free pool table in the back and the whole place has a really cool rustic theme. Right at the edge of Lincoln park so I usually like to start here and work my way through. On Fri I grab an absolute drink, fire ball (both on special on FRI) and a Moscow Mule! They must be the only place serving Moscow Mules in a copper mug! I shoot a little bit of pool and meet people every time I go. The place just has a super friendly vibe to it. And sometimes they have live music or a DJ. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

After passing the Arrogant Frog Bar on Fullerton nearly every day while driving home from work, a few friends and I stopped by for a couple drinks.
I really enjoyed the ambiance, especially with the front windows open :) they had a ton of beers on tap and the bar tender was great with letting us sample to determine which beer we wanted to order. They don’t appear to serve food, so if that’s what you’re looking for, probably not your place!
We only stayed for an hour or so, but I would definitely go back!

I believe the specials have changed a bit so dont quote me on the $ 2 off Thursday special that I mentioned in my last review.
Still love this place though AND their awesome collection of locally brewed beers.
