Before founding The MacTutor, Inc in 2007, Tony Marengo held management positions at Apple Computer and Nokia. We specialize in helping boomers, older-​adults and first time users get more from their Mac and Apple devices. We can also help you take your Mac knowledge «to the next level», help with your MobileMe syncing, and get your Wireless internet up-​and-​running!

I was in the Apple Twilight Zone and every time I contacted Apple support I became more and more lost. I found MacTutor on Unilocal and they were so responsive. With his Apple expertise, Marty was able to figure out what Apple couldn’t and totally resolve my problem in only 2 hours! I had spent 6 hours on the phone with Apple support. He was so helpful and friendly. I am so very grateful and putting MacTutor’s contact info in my favorites from now on.

«Genius» is too small a word for these guys.
My iPhone contacts would not sync with iCloud. I called Apple Care. Moved up several levels in the hierarchy of experts, but they could not solve the problem. I went to the «Genius» Bar at the Apple Store on North Avenue, no go. They referred back to a support department at Apple. These guys sent me an email referring me to Apple Support Online. I don’t have time for this!
Here is what Should have done in the first place. I called Mac Tutor. They sent Joshua Horsley. He solved the problem. I have used Mac Tutor in the past and in my opinion these guys are way more knowledgeable than any Apple «Genius.» If you do not mind spending a little money to save a lot of time, this is the place to call. And it is not just the time, they get the job done right.
Someone, please help. Post a better word than «genius.» We use that word for celebrities like Einstein or Hawking. For Joshua, we need a much better word. Brilliant? Astonishing? No those are adjectives. I need a noun. Any ideas out there? Please help!

The Mac Tutor’s service is AMAZING! I’ve used them for several years now and can highly recommend them.
I just purchased an iPad mini and was having issues getting my iCal to sync with my MacBook Air & my iPhone. I also needed instruction on how to view & store Word docs on the iPad. Danny is professional and knowledgable and speaks in non-​techie terms making it easier for me to learn.
Tony Marengo and his team of Tutors are fabulous. Call them for any MAC related issues!!!

I attended a group class through the MacTutor called «Happy Hour and How to Run A Business on a Mac 101». It was fantastic on a number of levels. Besides the great class the one on one time with the teacher and the other participants was extremely valuable. I picked up a few things I started using in my business the next day.

If you’re on this website, you need help with your Mac and you’ve come to the right place. When I called, I got a recording, left a message, and got a return call within hours from Tony, the supervisor. He referred me to my personal tutor, Dan. This is when it really got going. Dan is AWESOME. It takes a special person to teach someone what they know, especially when the student is a slow learner, has a bad attitude, is computer phobic, a slow learner (did I already mention that?). Dan was on time, polite, soft spoken, and patient and calm (everything I“M not). He did what I asked him to do and then some, meaning he went over and above what I originally requested. If you want service for your dollars, go to the Mac Tutor and request Dan. You’ll be glad you did!!!
