The Winchester Announces Reopening after Fire on Thursday, June 18
New version of minimal West Town café boasts expanded ownership, revamped dinner menu
The Winchester, West Town’s charmingly minimal, organic-focused café & restaurant, is poised to announce their reopening on June 18 after a five-week hiatus, thanks in large part to overwhelming support from the community as well as local restaurants. The Winchester’s reopening reaffirms its steadfast commitment to the clean, comfort-driven approach to sustainable food characteristic of the restaurant’s previous identity.
Management and staff have used the time off to refashion a few key elements. Executive Chef Greg Bastien (of Perennial Virant, Tavernita, and Avec) is moving into a partner position to supplement his culinary direction. Now a co-owner, Chef Bastien’s latest charge will shift the menu’s focus toward that of a veritable all-day café, with an emphasis on its revamped lunch and dinner programs during the week. Dinner m
