Specialties
The University of Aesthetics is known as the institution to attend for preparation to become a licensed aesthetician. Our curriculum has long exceeded minimum state requirements to reflect new technology in ingredients and equipment. Course content continues to evolve to provide future professionals with marketable skills and knowledge. Practical application complements the theory classroom as students further hone their skills through our student run clinic called Touch Clinic at the University of Aesthetics. Graduates are highly regarded and sought after for their knowledge, ability, and strong work ethic. Alumni may be found working within the medical community, higher end spas, resorts, spas, and in every branch of the professional beauty space; including, manufacturers, distributors, and schools.
History
Established in 2001.
The University of Aesthetics was founded in 2001, yet its roots are much older. Before the ’90’s and before the aesthetician license was created, aesthetics was virtually unknown. Through our sister company, we began offering continuing education in aesthetics in the ’70’s. Back then, we were considered pioneers in a new world of skin care. In a way, we remained pioneers and still act as pioneers. We ushered in and fought for the right to use microdermabrasion machines, taught the positive effect of radio frequency diathermy also known as short wave electrolysis to minimize angioma and telangiectasia, aesthetic uses of ultrasound, and many other technological applications in skin care. Through our sister company, we have fought (and still fight) for the right to use chemical peels and better products with higher efficacy ingredients. Aesthe Skin Care is one of the oldest, professional exclusive skin care line in America. Aesthe is color & fragrance, gluten free.
