Adrian Baume, L.Ac

Adrian is awesome! He has the knack of finding exactly the right spot, uses the perfect amount of pressure, and varies his technique to loosening the knots. I feel like a completely new person at the end of the session. Adrian also has a calming, up beat personality and is an excellent listener. Once you have a massage from Adrian, you won’t want to get a massage from anyone else!

I’ve been going to Adrian for massage for several months. He’s an outstanding massage therapist who can really hone in on problem areas in a gentle but firm way. I always feel great leaving his office! I think his acupuncture background really helps him zero in on the muscles that need attention. Adrian is a great guy, very calming and nurturing. The office is small and cozy and doesn’t feel at all like a doctor’s office and it’s only a block walk from the 16^th and mission BART station. His prices are very reasonable. Adrian is a real hidden gem. Shhh, don’t tell too many people or it will be hard to get appointments :-) I can’t wait for my next massage!

I have been receiving acupuncture treatments for about a year on my back, and I have never felt so great coming out of treatment than with Adrian. He didn’t only target my back, but also other areas that could be adding to the stress in my back. I trusted him more because of the knowledge he had and his attentiveness to my comfort. I liked that instead of just pushing the needle in, he really took his time to adjust it to the right level of comfort. He is also a massage therapist, and after the treatment he worked to further loosen the tight muscles in my back. His work space is neat, a cute room on the second floor. Although you hear the street noise, which is actually not distracting, he also plays world music on his ipod which is a nice change from bird chirping, water flowing, and wind blowing noises at most places. My main concern going to the Mission for acupuncture was parking. It was super easy to find street parking other than a meter, just a block away. His prices are a lot more reasonable than other places I’ve been to, and he does give student discounts, which I think is great! Needless to say I am definitely going back. Adrian knows what he’s doing and how to approach problems areas, and now I wouldn’t trust anybody else!
