History

Established in 2005.

We purchased our first wood pellet BBQ in 2005 and enjoyed the experience enough to want to share the delight with the rest of Northern California. We became the first certified Traegar dealer in Chico, later adding a few alternative brands including Green Mountain Grills.

A few years later, we were asked to cater a wedding for a family friend and the response we received from the community encouraged us to expand our business and begin catering for local events. Family-​owned and operated, we love sharing great food and good times with our friends and Chico community — the fun never stops!

Business Owner

Chico Bar-​B-​Q is owned and operated by Mike Lash, a Chico native who loves to bar-​b-​q. He cooks for many fundraising and various catering events in Butte County and surrounding communities.

He is a member of the Kansas City Bar-​B-​Q Association, and a certified Bar-​B-​Q judge. Mike has also won two 1^st place awards from the Eagles Chili Cook-​off.
