I wish I could give this wretched place no stars. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE.
My partner and I went in to this terrible establishment twice to get some info about snugtop camper shells. The first time we went in there, the sleazeball (might be the owner?!) sitting behind the counter was extremely cold and unhelpful. He did not offer us any information or brochures about snugtops. He acted as though it was an inconvenience to even acknowledge our presence at this business.
We went in there a second time, giving him the benefit of the doubt, to get some information about snugtops. Maybe he was just having a bad day the first time we went in there. Nope! This sleazeball was a complete jerk again. My partner asked the salesman if they had any brochures about snugtops for Toyota trucks. The man did not even respond, walked out from behind the counter, and grabbed a brochure from the wall nearby. He didn’t ask any questions or give any information such as «What kind are you looking for? What are you hoping to use the camper shell for?» He didn’t say a word!
We walked out of there and my partner called the Snugtop dealer in Redding to purchase a camper shell.

I purchased an axle for my boat trailer which they ordered from the manufacturer. When I got the axle, I asked if it had waterproof marine grease in the bearings. His response was «Oh yea, I’m sure it does, the manufacturer knew it was for a boat trailer.» Not exactly confidence inspiring, so after I got home, I opened up the hub to find pink grease inside. I went back to the shop and the same guy told me that marine grease was blue, so I should change to that next time I pack the bearings. I asked if he could help me out with that and he responded «No, the manufacturer has no idea when they put an axle together what it will be going on.» Okay, that’s different from his other story, but he knew what it was going on when I ordered it and he was still unwilling to take any responsibility for it. So I guess I’m spending next Saturday repacking my bearings. The worst thing though, is that if I had believed his first story, without checking it out for myself, I would be driving around thinking I had marine grease when I didn’t. I was really hoping this would be a good shop, because I had a bunch of other work I needed to have done, but after that experience, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Also very disappointed with their service. They repaired a door on our RV and put in old broken pieces from the preexisting door. Only cost $ 400. Pretty rude as well. Will never return and I’m sure they could care less. We should have known better after they did the initial inspection for $ 170 just to say what needed fixing.

Where do I start… I took our trailer there for several issues. The big one was the bumper was tearing off the frame. I said I needed it repaired AND reinforced. They did repair it but did not reinforce it. Now I have to take it to a real welder. I asked them to adjust the shower door. They didn’t know how so I figured it out. I asked them to check some delamination I had on the front of the trailer. I was ignored. They charged me over $ 100.00 to replace some plastic that covers screws on the front of the trailer. Could have done it myself in 10 minutes. They never called me with updates even though the trailer was there for a week. When I called I got attitude. When I picked up the trailer they pulled it out with a forklift and thumped it down on the concrete. I thought the jack broke. Because the forklift guy didn’t put anything under the jack I could not get it on the hitch. Took 30 minutes to fix that, by myself. This place has attitude, no customer service and rips people off. We have so few places here for RV repair it’s a real shame this place sucks.

I’ve been bringing my vehicles to Chico Truck & RV for almost 8 years. He’s worked on my motor home, enclosed trailer and my Hummer to name a few. They’ve always given me a quote upfront and the time frame they estimated it would take. If I didn’t understand something I’d ask and they’d take the time to explain it to me so I can be an informed buyer and choose which of the suggested repairs I’d like. If you’re a person like me who wants quality work done at fair prices then I’d give these guys a call.

In interest of disclosure, and to be fair after seeing online reviews they did refund all money. A letter was included, but I can not consider it an apology. They stated I should have talked to them, I tryed that for a week.
Oh and if they read this: If you want good reviews make your customers happy. Chico Truck and RV: I will never be back.

Brought our trailer here mid-​July for a generator problem, we told them we felt the carb was bad and needed replaced. 2 weeks later after not hearing back from them, we called. Sure enough they said the carb needs replacing. Told them to go for it, but we needed to «borrow» our trailer for a softball tournament in that weekend. He said there was no way to finish it, but told us to pick it up, sleep in it for the weekend, and bring it back after the weekend. When we had it for the weekend, it was obvious that NO work had been done in the 2 weeks he had it. Returned it to the shop 3 days later, we were told a week or so for repairs. Also said we were missing an air filter and cover. We told him to go for it, make necessary repairs. After 2 more weeks of hearing nothing, we call them. Greg says Generac doesn’t have a cover in stock and has to have one custom made. By this time he has had the trailer for a total of one month, and still no work has been done on it. We told him we need the trailer for opening season deer hunting weekend the following week. He promised he would get the carb on the generator and we could use the trailer, with the understanding that we would once again, bring it back to him after our camp trip for the cover. The cover had been special ordered and was due to ship while we were hunting. We got home from deer camp, and got a phone call a week later saying cover arrived. We told him we would pick up the cover and put it on ourselves, we’re not going to haul the trailer there a 3^rd time. Pick up the cover, a piece of 8×8 metal plate, for $ 46. Get it home, doesn’t fit. The opening is twice that size and round! Took it back, Greg had no answer as to what happened, he was in a flurry of other «issues» occurring at work, and lacked some serious customer service skills, was short and rude to his employees and all around cranky. The other guy at the counter found the actual cover we needed, and ordered it, and said he put a 2day shipping on it. Greg said we would not pay for shipping since that company sent the wrong part to begin with. We asked the guy how much the cover was, he told us $ 16. Clearly we were due some sort of refund, Greg said «wellllllll, we can settle it up when the part actually gets here». 7 days go by, not sure what happened to 2 day shipping, we get a call its here. Pick it up, Greg says the part was 16, and he paid $ 30 shipping so we are good money wise. Husband was tires if the entire process and said fine and left pissed. Called him back and told him that he told us he wasn’t going to charge us shipping since we were sent the wrong part. He said he had to pay the shipping a 2^nd time and had only made $ 3 off of this sale to us and had to charge us for shipping costs on both parts. Whatever, you’re a liar and your customer service skills suck. You have a bad attitude, and lost us as customers (after spending almost 600 $ the month prior for repairs).
