Ron’s RV Service

Ron came out to where we are staying in our motor home to take care of a refrigerator that was freezing everything. He was easy to work with and was very prompt and reasonable.
He also found that there was an unrelated recall on the unit. He helped me get Dometic to cover the cost of his coming to us, so I didn’t have to break camp and take it to be repaired.

Thank you Ron and crew. The Onan Genset you worked on now starts every time, keeps running, and does the job it is supposed to do.

I had Ron’s RV replace the cooling unit on my class A motorhome in July of 2013. They made the initial repair in decent time, and we left for a trip one day after the repairs were completed. When we arrived at our destination we found the fridge side of the coach covered with water, and there was no ice in the freezer. Upon our return home I asked for a tech to come to my home and inspect the coach. He found that the water line to the freezer was NOT hooked back up, and the inside walls of the coach were now waterlogged. He stated the coach needed to be taken back to the shop and the cooling unit removed AGAIN to replace the water line, which they did, but not in a timely manner. After waiting over a week I went to the shop and asked for my keys. There was no apology as to not completing the work right the first time, and there was an attitude with it as well. Upon inspection I found the lower cabinet panel below the fridge was scratched, and the coach was very dirty.
Forward one year later. I took the coach out of the inside storage center, and started all the systems to check things out before our trip. After some four hours the fridge and freezer shut off, and it was not able to be turned on since there was no power to the power switch. I checked the fuses and looked at the wiring inside the service panel. The coach had to be taken to Chico RV for repairs. The service manager there called me to say there were several safety issues that needed to be addressed. Most of the wiring was incorrectly spliced together, and the main power wire had melted. It was obvious that the folks at Ron’s RV did not take the time or use the right materials to complete my repair, and in light of the water line mistake I can see why. It will cost some $ 400 to make the proper repairs AGAIN.
Buyer beware of this repair station.
