The best tamales I’ve had so far since I came to NorCal. cheap too. $ 2 per and $ 20 for 12. I was craving tamales for weeks before I came here too. Completely satisfied my stomach. Now I just have to try everything else on the menu. But so far so EXCELLENT!

I went to the farmer’s market and I saw Rico’s stand and decided to get some tamales. I was told by my friend that their tamales were amazing so I stood in line for about 5 minutes. The employee was very nice and asked her which was the most popular and suggested pork. It was only $ 2 which I thought was a great deal! I put some salsa verde and some spicy sauce on it and omg it was amazing! Highly suggest getting some food here!

Just stopped in for a breakfast burrito, they did not have those but they did have some wonderful tamales. Very nice staff and increadibley clean and cozy. The tamales are only $ 2 each or $ 20 for 12, a really good deal in either case.

What are their hours? I tried calling a few times. Left a message too. Then I stopped by, door was locked with no hours on the door. Even this Unilocal doesn’t have the hours posted. My daughter really liked their sweet tamales from the Thursday night market, so I wanted to pick some up for her. I thought my chicken ones were a bit small for the price.

If you are looking for authentic tamales GOTORICOS! They are absolutely phenomenal! Chico seriously lacks good, authentic Mexican food but this place changes that. They have some of the best tamales I’ve had. Always ask for red sauce on the side, be careful though. depending on who makes it, it can be hottt Their restaurant is kind of placed weird, it looks like a sit down restaurant but all your food is made to go…

By far the best tamales in town and at a great price. Good salsa and a great staff.

My boyfriend and I discovered this place four days ago and we have had their tamales everyday since then. SOGOOD. They aren’t even officially open yet. Normally I hate tamales but these are a winner. I just hope the staff gets friendlier once they actually open their restaurant. Cash only which is a bummer.

Very good, tasty tamales This was the former Rosalitos Tamales. We make it up to Chico every year are so and habitually go to the Saturday Farmers Market in downtown Chico and stock up on these wonderful tamales. In my opinion, they are pretty similar to Rosalitos but maybe they are slightly larger and the pork ones we tried this past weekend were really packed with flavorful meat. The meal exterior was just as creamy as before. I hope they can keep this up as these tamale gems are truly wonderful.
