If you are going to buy tires in Chico you don’t have to look any further than Smyth Tire. I had been buying tires for twice the price at other tire shops in town. Smyth tires has Great tires for a Great Price, the staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable. They do a great job!

Rob took good care of me. I’m from out of town so when my low tire light came on as I was driving to Chico, I was not happy. I had a million things to do already! I called Smyth and Rob said he could take care of it as soon as I got there. My car was all fixed in under 30 min and I went and got breakfast while it was being done.

Smyth has always given my wife and I great service.
I have called around after receiving a quote from them and their prices were the same or better from other tire places.
We’ve also never had them try to sell us something we didn’t need. They even talked us out of services because they felt it was unnecessary.

Not happy with this company at all! Called around to get prices on a two wheel alignment for my car. Got a decent price over the phone, lower then other shops I had called and so I made an appt for the next day. Went in for the appt and the price was doubled what I was quoted over the phone. I informed the counter person that it was double was I was quoted and he said «I didn’t write anything down that said that price» I said «well the reason I made the appt. here is because of the price I was quoted» He said «well my prices haven’t been that price in years» I said «that is fine» took my keys back and left. Not only did he lose that busisness but I was going to see if he could do an oil change also.
Personaly I feel this was a bait and switch… thinking once I was there I would pay the higher price… His higher price at the day of service was more then the other shops I called around to also. I am going back to Les Schwab.

I have to agree with the positive reviews I’ve read for Smythe Tire Service in Chico. Marty at the front desk is always friendly and welcoming and does his best to get my cars in and out as efficiently as possible. The trust factor is also huge — I don’t feel they’ve ever tried to sell me something I didn’t need — in fact there were several times I thought I’d be paying big and didn’t — and it is also very conveniently located. I love to duck into the Salvation Army thrift shop down the block, get some coffee and something sweet across the street at Tin Roof, or even take a walk downtown. Love this place.

This is one of the best local shops in Chico. I have been taking all my cars in here since I have been able to drive. They have the most helpful staff and their prices are amazing. They explain what they are doing to your car and don’t drop added charges on without you knowing. If you need a place to get tires, brakes or anything to do with you suspension this is the place to go!

Brilliant Chico business. Local and as honest as the day is long. These guys are great at what they do & will not rip you off. I use them often and am a fan!
