Love this store! They are helpful and polite and always take the time to look over products. If they don’t have something they can often order it for you or point you in the right direction. I have been shopping here for over ten years now, and they have helped with all of my kids’ 4-​H market critters – from sheep to swine to goats – and all with a smile!

Love Wilburs always suggest perfect things for what my needs are whether it be horses, dogs, cats, birds, or my sheep or llamas. Always had perfect service by any or all of staff. Owner is a working owner always hands on. Thanks for always having what I need.

They’re kinda hit-​or-​miss, and depends on which staff is working that day. Have had pleasant service for awhile, until, say, the one day that ‘whats-​his-​name’ happens to be working, who’s having a bad hair day and decides he’s looking to pick a quarrel.
Also the store’s been there awhile, so it’s kind of a ‘fixture’ for the local good ol boys and rednecks, who may, or may not be very courteous if you or your vehicle happen to look like ‘city slickers’ to them. Otherwise, good prices and variety, just don’t expect Costco kinda attitude or service.
BTW, Star Mills in downtown Chico is just a tiny bit more expensive, but have ALWAYS found them to be very pleasant and courteous.

My go to place to fill all my parakeets culinary needs! Their bird seed is fresh and augmented with dried greens, they have a variety of grit, (blue is a favorite) nice fat cuttle bones, fresh millet sprays and a friendly, helpful staff, oh and their prices are the best in town!!!

It smells like a feed store, molasses and hay and maybe some chemicals thrown in. But wait.What’s that sound? It sound like a slipping fan belt, eek, eek, eek. No, It’s Peep, Peep, Peep. I gotta see this, so in the room behind the cash register are about 200 baby chicks of 6 varieties. Rhode Island Red, Americana and more, each the size of a 50 cent piece. So cute! But no, I couldn’t buy chicks today. Instead, I bought Two dozen Farm Fresh, possibly Free Range, eggs. I’ve already been eating these for a week so I’m happy to get local eggs. These are clean (not sure if they’ve been washed). Every one is different as they may not come from the same farmer. I know they don’t come from the same hens. This is a mixed dozen with some brown, some white and some green.
Now I must say. when I had my own chickens… If you feed them red bell peppers they will have yolks the color of sunset…
Many of these eggs have the ‘spot from the rooster”. I don’t care if my eggs have been fertilized or not. The eggs do seem clean and have a wonderful taste. I’m going back in two days. Love that protein.

After shopping here for years I’ve been treated poorly for the last time. While they are a cute little country Feedstore their customer service sucks. The guys are rude and not very helpful. When someone acts like I’m putting them out when I’m trying to spend money at their store I am obviously shopping in the wrong place. C Bar D here I come.

I went back to the store to return the chick starter that was not labeled «medicated» and placed my bag of dead chicks on the counter along with it. The owner gave me a hard time saying that I didn’t tell them what I was feeding.*That shouldn’t matter because I’m the customer & it’s their job to LABEL THEIR PRODUCTS & also INFORM CUSTOMERS WHAT’S IN IT!!! I did get my refund back but that doesn’t matter. The manager’s bad attitude towards me is unacceptable and I still have DEAD CHICKS that cost me money and more importantly pain because I watched them die slowly.

Good feed store. They were helpful in finding all of the things that I needed and were willing to order anything that wasn’t in stock for me. Additionally they were willing to help me load all of the purchases made.

Best feed store in town. they always have what you need and their prices are the best in town. The owner is very knowlegable. No matter waht I am picking up they will have it and if it’s something special they will source it for me quicklly. Lowest price on hog feed, chicken feed, parrot feed and all of the other supplies. Go here before anywhere else in town!

Not very friendly… It was easy to find parking. They didn’t carry anything I asked for in stock and responded, «we can special order that.» My daughter dropped an egg they had displayed and it broke. They were quick to charge me for it. I won’t be going back. Headed across town to another feed store, the parking lot was full, and they had everything I was looking for.

Good prices and knowledgeable staff. Recommended.

Friendly and unpretentious place. Wood stove to keep warm by, and some big farm cats lounge around the warmth. Helpful advice can be obtained if you ask.

Great place to get chinchilla food. Excellent prices and fantastic service.
