KB Window Tint

Had my wife’s 2015 Lexus IS 250f Sport tinted here in July 2015 and they did a fantastic job, the owner is nice and friendly and the installer is all business. Fast and well done. I returned in December to have my 3015 Silverado tinted and they knocked it out of the park again. Trust local small businesses! Give them a shot!

I’ve always had great results at KB Window Tint. I’ve used them for 3 cars and Ruben has always been very nice to work with. I just called now because I bought a used car with dark tint on the front windows and got a ticket in Irvine. It’s only $ 20 to remove tint on the two front windows of my Camry and then $ 35 per window to get it put back on after my tickets signed off. I prefer medium tint anyways so I’m glad it’s not too much. I’ve been in the Auto business 25 years and had 15 cars in that time. Thankfully only 2 tickets and Rubens prices are good and I’ve never had any complaints about the quality of their work.

I recently brought in my 2015 Lexus NX to be tinted despite the bad reviews about the quality of work because I have had cars tinted there before in the past as did my husband, my sister and brother in law without any issues. It is staggering the quality of work KB tint offers now compared to a couple of years ago. Granted when my husband and I got our cars tinted previously done by a different employee. But the same owner has been present and is assumed responsible for the work his employees do. When I had my car evaluated for the tint, the owner kind of made a big deal that it was going to difficult to do the smaller windows in the front which clearly posed a problem for his employee. I did not immediately inspect the tint given most air bubbles would resolve after 5 – 7 days, but after a week I noticed significant air bubbles including bubbles with lint– just as other Unilocalers have stated. Majority of my issues were with the small windows in front. While inspecting the tint on the outside, I noticed that when the employee had cut the rubber on the outside of one of my small windows. Being that my car was only 10 days old I was upset in the quality of work that I was provided. The cost is cheap but so is the quality in work. My husband called into KB tint to see how my issues could be resolved, but the owner just told is that it is nearly impossible to have a perfect tint and there will always be lint no matter what he did. He offered to inspect the work but did not guarantee replacement despite this supposed lifetime warranty. Apparently there is a disclaimer that states the lifetime warranty does not include application of the tint. So no matter how the tint is applied, it is up to the discretion of the owner on whether or not he will replace it free of charge. I wasn’t happy with the customer service I had received so instead we took my car to another tint place in Ontario who was nice enough to not charge us for stripping the crappy tint that KB tint had originally placed. I definitely will stop referring friends and family here.

DO NOT COME HERE. He will not stand behind his installation/​workmanship. His employee with the long hair doesn’t know how to install tint. He rushes to put on the tint and the garage is dusty and dirty. There was dust particles in the tint after a week. Go somewhere else.

I wish I would have believed the bad reviews $ 200 bucks for air bubbles and it’s been over s week you all been warned red flag over priced, bad work, Ruben is a cocky a hole, yeah Ruben won’t respond to this one he got nothing to say, I’ll be coming back for my money !!!

First off I’ve taken my other car to Ruben and he did a fine job on the tint. But honestly most shops that offer tint in todays world can do a fine job. With that said I have a car that is tinted but was peeling in the back so i peeled off the tint using a steam machine (Thats how you remove tint) and I’ve peeled tint off with this method on other cars. But this time I removed it, there appeared to be glue left behind. I called Ruben and he told me to bring it down to see what he can do. He looked at it and said I should have never peeled off the tint as there are different tints that require special solution to remove. He took a razor blade to scrape off some glue and came out of car and said there is no way he would touch the job cause it would be a two hour job to remove just the glue plus charge me $ 60 to tint. All this with an attitude to boot! Wow! im a professional sales person and I know you never treat customers this way no matter what. I drove back home and looked carefully at the rear window and looked how Ruben was able to scrape off a small section of glue. Well I scraped a little with my razor blade and learned that it was not GLUE but a second layer of tint! Back in the day to get super dark tint you put 2 layers of tint on. Anyways I pulled out the steamer and easily peeled off the remaining tint in less then 10 minutes. My glass is ready for tint now thank you very much but Sorry Ruben, you’ve been around for years and I thought you would have known what glue looked like and what window tint looked like escpecially after scraping some off with your blade! Ruben you do good work, but you lost me as a customer based on this experience. Plus you charge more than other shops in the area and claim you have better window film. They all are good film now a days but you can buy more better film that offer better heat reflection.

Just took my car in to get a visor tint. I’ve been here before when someone I know got their SUV windows tinted & it’s still a perfect tint to this day so I thought I would bring my car here. My app was at 1PM but they didn’t start until 1:30 (almost exactly) which was kind of annoying but nothing to rant over. I was told it was only take about 30 minutes but it took about 15, so I was impressed. The tint came out really good & I’m so far satisfied. Let’s hope the tint doesn’t fade.

Quoted $ 70 over the phone, walked in and told $ 80 plus an additional $ 20 to remove old tint. $ 100 to tint two windows… you’ve got to be kidding me!

I have nothing but good things to say about KB tint. I stopped by n spoke to the owner a week prior to schedule a day I could bring my Ford F150 in for tint. I had an 11am appt and he promptly took my vehicle as scheduled. He gave me an ETA of 2.5 hours and he came awfully close to finishing up my car in time. He uses Solarguard window film and I’m really happy with the outcome and overall look of my f150.

Before taking my car to Ruben I read all the reviews. The negative ones honestly were just idiotic. What separated Ruben from the rest before taking my cars was the fact that he took the time to respond to all negative comments in a professional manner. With a response that made sense. That’s a guy that loves his business and takes pride in his work.
After taking both my 08 Camry and 14 Corolla there this week, I only confirmed what a great guy he is to his customers.
He guided me through what tint to use based on my cars interior and my needs. He was very clean and most importantly very careful with my cars. He pointed out any flaws already on my car to ensure i knew it wasnt him. Like I said after reading some negative comments, I dont blame him for taking every precaution.
Overall, great experience. I will definitely be referring him to friends!

Yeah. CHE pulls me over and will ask me for license registration. Not proof of tint. You don’t need to be a big corporation to own a computer. You probably already do.
This life time warrenty is just a stupid ploy to get people to pay for your ridiculously over priced tint.

KB Window Tint has a wonderful staff — that is both efficient and knowledgeable.
I called on a Saturday — hoping to set a day-​of appointment (a rarity, since they are quite busy on the weekends) — after speaking with Bryant, I was able to fill their last appointment slot for the day (they had a day-​of cancellation).
When arriving to the shop Bryant showed me a variety of tint available and the different price ranges for each. After a short conversation, we both agreed that the Solar Gard Galaxie tint in Dark would best fit my 2013 VW GTI and give me the desired look I wanted to achieve.
When Ruben, the owner, was available — I was able to ask him a few more questions regarding the tint I had selected and he was quite honest and informative. Which to me was like a breath of fresh air!
Towards the end of my installation — both Bryant and Ruben teamed up to get my car tinted before the end of day. I appreciated the extra effort they both put in.
Both Bryant and Ruben have incredible customer service and it was a pleasure doing business with both of them.
For those looking for a very trust-​worthy & upfront tint shop in the Chino Hills area — i highly recommend KB Window Tint!

I’ve tinted 2 cars here (2012 G37 /​2014 IS350) and their work has always been very good. No bubbling or any other issues. It was $ 180 for 5 windows on a regular sedan and I was quoted $ 40 each front window for my Sienna due to the larger windows.
Both times I was there I was offered their Solar Gard Galaxie tint which comes with a lifetime warranty. They offer this tint in light, medium, dark, and limo. The first time I tinted my car I got medium and this time I got dark on accident (my fault). If I get my car tinted again, I will probably get medium as dark is very dark when you have a black interior. Hopefully I don’t get a ticket any time soon.
Keep in mind they get pretty busy on the weekends, so it’s best to call ahead for an appointment.

Took care of my Infinity to get the back window done. Prices are competitive and was done in the time frame he promised. Will come back again to get me other vehicles tinted.

Sent an email requesting a quote and after a few days did not get a response so I decided to stop bye in person. Kinda strange, walked into his service bay at the car wash and no one was there. A car was halfway done, but no one was there to greet me, saw some of the car wash guys hustling but no tint guys; even checked the car wash waiting area and office. Anyway, they get one star until (if) they return my email or call me with an estimate.

Went in on Saturday set an appointment with a $ 20.00 deposit for Today. My wife took the car in at 11:00 its finished.
The car looks amazing, and Ruben is a great person to deal with. Very polite, very helpful, not only to me but my wife as well.
If you need your windows tinted make an appointment, you will not regret it.

KB Tint has a very friendly and informative staff, Luis was very helpful over the phone explaining the different types of tint and benefits of each level as you go up in price. He also helped make an appointment for me to come in on my day off.
When I got there I was greeted by the very personable owner Ruben, and I never felt pressured to choose a certain type of tint or felt like I was being up-​sold. Ruben even looked at my car and was very helpful with making a recommendation on which shade of tint to get. They’ve done an incredible job and now one week later my 2012 VW GLI looks amazing and there are NO bubbles or scratches from the installation and I am one very satisfied customer!
Ruben and Luis are some of the nicest people you’ll meet in the business, they have a great sense of humor and really work as a team to get the job done. (they didn’t mind at all that I chilled inside the shop the whole time with them as they worked) I guess the only issue I had was that Luis is not a 49er fan, but its okay I’ll let that slide this time lol
A word of advice — if you’re having a hard time finding it via GoogleMaps, it’s in the same parking lot as Sams Club and Kohls and shares their building with Speedway Carwash

Tinted my front windows to match my rear windows (factory tint). As Ruben was preparing to tint my windows he noticed that my driver side window was jamming into the window liner (I’ve been driving this car for 2 months and never noticed). He advised me to notify my dealership so I could get that defect repaired.
When the job was finished he perfectly tinted my front windows to exactly match my rear windows w/​no bubbles or streaks.
His customer service skills were excellent, took his time to do the job right, and the price was right.
The waiting area was comfortable and I was able to watch him work from beginning to end.
***At no time did he wear a «utility belt» and he took good care of my vehicle.

I decided to give a local tinter a try (I’ve typically used tinters in Walnut and Ontario). At first, I was happy with the work and left. As soon as I parked and got out, I noticed a 3in scratch on the driver side door. I called the owner Ruben to notify him and he said to bring the vehicle in. He then spent 15min telling me his applicator took great care not to damage a vehicle and didn’t wear any sort of item that would scratch a client’s car. His applicator then comes out wearing a freakin’ utility belt! He spent the ENTIRE conversation in not taking any sort of responsibility for the damage done to my new car. I had a bad feeling as soon as his applicator backed my vehicle into a stool –_​-​; Talk about a lazy, careless buffoon!
Mind you, I’ve only had this car since Sunday and it has only been driven twice by me. Do yourself a favor and use a tinter in Walnut and Ontario. I came away from this experience very, very disappointed.

So why do you get your windows tinted? Here’s some reasons … not particularly my reasons so I’m just saying in general …
— cause you dont wanna look like this
— you want to bust out your crack pipe sitting in traffic
— you want to hot box your ride but you parked in the front
— you’re bumpin’ slow jams loud enough that people hear it with your windows up
— you’re at a drive in movie theater

B — Can you take my car now? Last time I came here I had to make an appointment.
R — It’s slower during the winter time for some reason, I can do it today.
B — I forgot what I got last time, can you tell me how much you charge and what the difference is on the tints.
R — Well for 7 windows, this one is $ 190, this one is $ 160 and this one is (I forgot because I know I didn’t want the shiny tint)
B — WTF is the difference, $ 190, $ 160 … is this one made by Fucci, Frada and the other made by Folex
R — No, this one reflects more heat and this one has less glare blah blah blah.
B — OK, I’ll do this one dark all around.
R — You know that getting the front windows tinted is illegal in CA.
B — Yeah, but so is smoking the ganja but people still do it … so dark all around.
I left my car, he called me and I picked it up later. Make sure when you go that you have a ride so you can leave it instead of just sitting there watching this guy charge you for putting film on your windows.
I’m not sure if this place is less expensive than other places, but I was happy with the end result, so I would recommend this place. Ruben was cool even though the conversation wasn’t exactly like I wrote.
