Advance Auto Body and Paint

Took my 2001 Tacoma in on Monday (¹²⁄₂₈) for an estimate. My truck had some rust around the windshield. The gentleman in charge (Pepe) said they could have it done after the New Year. Once I agreed to the paint job, Pepe talk to his people and was able to complete the job on New Years eve. The truck came out really nice with the original factory color. The paint job came with a six year warranty. All I need now is to wait a couple of weeks for the paint to completely cure and then have it buffed to get the showroom finish. This service is also available at the shop. I would defiantly use this shop again in the future.

My car paint was blistering and I had more dings and dents in the 13 year old car than I want to admit. BUT Phil and the crew at Advance Auto Body and Paint really did me right. The beat up mess I dropped off was unrecognizable when they were finished with it. NO EXXAGERATION ! My car looks like it just came out of the showroom! The factory paint exactly matched the inside doorjambs. Very sparkly! Not just the quality work, but the entire crew there were considerate, professional and made me feel confident that they could do and would do an excellent job. But the proof is in the pudding; my son has a older model BMW with the same blistering & peeling and it needs a coat of paint too. He will get a strong recommendation from me that he bring it to Advance. He hasn’t seen it yet as I just got the car home, but I’m sure he’ll be as impressed as I was and he’ll want the same quality job that I got. I went to the Advance shop on 35^th, just off of University, just tremendous.

Don’t know what the other reviews are talking about. I am more than pleased with the work they did on my 89 C1500. I called around several places and it was ridiculous with price and timing. The body work and paint looks awesome. These dudes did an amazing job on my truck and did it in record time! I didn’t have to deal with not having transportation very long. I have been referring everybody I know to come to this place.

Terrible bussiness. Caused thousands in damages to my classic car. Carlos is a snake. He also works at the one in Point loma off the I-​8. I was going to take them to court for the damages and they gave me a run around. which led to a refund. so i got a lot of work done for free. the main manager in point loma worked it out. however do not bring your car here for any reason. your better off going to Tijuana. Thats the work quality they show here. at least get it cheaper there. Carlos and staff are thieves and scammers.

This place hasn’t always been this great. The new guy, Joey was very helpful, professional and easy going. I’m an old lady who knows next to jack about cars. He helped me, and even offered me advice about other things involving under the good work. I’m very impressed and will be a returning customer.

Just heard about this place by word of mouth, but didn’t see it on Unilocal.I saw other reviews, but they were not good. Can’t really give it a good rating since I haven’t personally experienced their work, but I had to give it A rating to get it on the Unilocal map. Hoping someone can give some recommendations on this place…
