Absolutely the best and most trust l worthy mechanic out here in SD! My family has been going to him for over 15 years. That should say a lot about his work and honesty. He’s not like other mechanics who try to tell you other things need to be fixed when they don’t. Strongly recommend this company!!!

Worked with Elie. Came in for a check engine light and for a loud sound my car was making. Ended up that a bunch of tubes needed replacing and a wheel bearing needed to be replaced. Elie was very honest and showed me all the broken parts that needed replacing. He worked on what needed to be worked on and there were no «oh and we also found this needed to be fixed too» extra stuff added on. Good communication too. Will definitely recommend and come back for any other auto repairs.

This is one of the most honest car repair shop in San Diego. They only fix what they are supposed to and don’t tell you there is something else wrong with your car. If you want to get your car fix at a reasonable price come to Automaster they have A+ customer service.

If you’re looking for a honest mechanic that takes care of business and doesn’t take you for a «ride,» look no further. The owner Elle is the nicest guy and gives it to you straight without trying to upsell or pressure you into anything. I’ve been taking my vehicle there for a couple of years now and it’s honest quality work that never fails. I can even recall the guys there working a little afterhours to get me squared away.

My new place!!! I went in because my car was over heating every now and then. The main mechanic who is also the owner hooked me up! This guy lived up to his word. Referred by a friend who said the guy was honest, which is the only thing I was looking for. When ever I get an oil change at my old usual spot they usualy try selling me tires or extra stuff. Ellie got down to business, fixed what I asked, and most of all was sincere. Walked out paying less then what I expected. I will be back when my other cars have problems!

If I could give this place NO stars, I would because my experience here was THAT bad! By far, the WORST repair shop I have ever been to. No need to get into specifics; just that I brought my car in for something simple, shelled out a ridiculous amount of money for parts that they claimed would fix the problem… and by the second week, the damn problem still wasn’t fixed! Had to finally save my car from this place’s evil clutches and take it to a real shop that knew what they were doing. And when I went back to complain, they told me to bring my car back so they could fix it properly. WTF! Why would I want to put my car through that sh*t again? Do yourself a huge favor, DO NOT bring your car here!

This has been the best shop I have EVER gone too.
When I moved to San Diego, I went through 6 mechanics before I found this shop. I have trusted the owner, Ellie, with 5 of my cars and he never steers your wrong. He does NOT try to upsell service and he keeps it honest. Not only that, the best labor rates in town.
I have brought over, BMW, Mercedes, VW, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, whatever. If it’s broken, he will fix it.
Not only is he a GREAT shop, next door is a muffler and alignment shop and a smog shop. So it is like an all in one package.
Best mechanic ever. I have recommended quite a few people to him and now he is their mechanic.
