Only one star for this little hole in wall. The food at one point was actually good here, it used to have a homemade feel and taste to it but the quality of food has dropped, a lot. I recently had their caldo de res(beef soup), and it was completely disappointing. The potato and carrot were still hard, as if they just added vegetables to hot broth and served it without allowing the vegetables to cook. I believe they actually just heated some chicken broth, added vegetables and some pieces of meat and called it caldo de res. Talk about just throwing everything together. I have also tried their burritos, and yes even though they are huge as it is pointed out by other reviews here on Unilocal,a huge portion doesn’t necessarily translate to tasty food. Their burritos taste overly salty, the tortilla seems to rip(break apart), and the guacamole on the burrito is always WAYCOLD(I personally hate this: warm tortilla, warm meat, warm cheese, and then the cold surprise). I really hope the food quality improves here to what it used to be. There are other Mexican food options in the area I’ll frequent unless this place dramatically changes.

This place is the best. I always get the bean and cheese burito and a quesadilla. You have to try it.

I only come here for their pollo or carne asada fries. Im a connoisseur of good carne fries. And living in an area with so many taco shops to choose from this place holds a special place in my heart. Their fries offer a uniqueness to them. I love that they come with nacho cheese and jalapeños. The plate is a bit on the pricey side but it is definitely sharable for most. P. s. They’re cash only and they do have a little«drive thru»

Not the biggest fan of taco shops, but I have to admit Colima’s is really something else. Their food tastes slightly different than other taco shops and wow their burritos are HUMONGOUS! Very good food, just kind of hate the location!

Great authentic Mexican food. Had a wonderful breakfast burrito. The fresh salsa is the bomb. Would be five stars but they only take cash. But it’s worth it.

The burritos are a good size for the buck and pretty delicious. But today l went there to try out their carne asada nachos and they where pretty disgusting. The chips where cold and greasy and l found that the toppings where scarce. Not enough guacamole, sour cream, cheese etc. the only thing that they did put alot of was jalapeños. To cover the blank spaces. At the end the roof of my mouth was coated in fat. It made me feel sick! I’ll never eat nachos there again. It will be awhile before l go back there again. For $ 9 l could of had something better.

Fast, friendly, excellent food served hot and fresh. Great value cost per quality and quantity of food served. I ordered a carne asada burrito $ 5.99 and Pepsi $ 1.00. Wait time very minimal, food was delivered to my table, w/plate, and napkins(utensils available upon request). Important to know: Colimas Mexican Food only accepts cash, so before arriving, make sure to stop by an ATM. Strongly recommend. Good food & service.

The BEST! The owner is a great person and cares about his restaurant and the food they offer. The burritos are HUGE but they don’t compromise on quality. We come here at least twice a month or more!

Surf and turf burrito is the bomb, really big too. It is $ 10 but worth every penny. The mulitas are really good as well, I think the carne asada is better then the adobada. Rolled tacos are really good too. They have chicken, beef and potato. Also it is a cash only spot.

I don’t eat at taco shops but I decided to try this place cause I saw it had really good reviews plus I was feeling like eating a burrito I saw ppls comments saying their burritos were huge. Got there, lady was very friendly. Ordered a Cali Burrito, Machaca burrito and Rolled tacos. Got my order quick and correct taking in consideration the fact that they’re were crazy busy. Machaca burrito was really good and well served, decent size. Rolled tacos pretty good but had to order xtra sour cream. *CASHONLY*

If I come to Colimas it will be for the big Bean and Cheese burritos and the Machaca burritos! They are cash only! I asked the Cashier what she thought were some of the best things on the menu. She replied the Fish Tacos, the Fish Burritos, Bistek Ranchero Burrito, and the Adobada Burrito! I have to start trying these!

Usually 5 stars for Burritos almost all the time!!! They don’t skimp on the meat. BRINGCASH!!! Cash only!!! I just ordered the Machaca burrito and My wife and I split it. The burrito was very good and the meat to egg ratio was spot on. The Machaca Burrito is about 2⁄3 the size of their normal burrito but just as big if not bigger than most other taco shops. There were no green peppers and little if any onions in the mix. I also ordered the hot carrots mix .96 cents. The carrots were good but I like them soft. My Wife devoured them and there were cooked more to her liking. NODOUBT this place used to reign supreme as our secret Mexican shop but times have changed, even though they are good, they used to be a bit better. If you want the BESTCARNEASADAQUESADILLA then look no further. Their Supreme Quesadilla comes with everything thing and is amazing. Their mini salsa bar is good but still isn’t my favorite salsa but it shouldn’t be the deciding factor if you visit this gem.

I love this place! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. They have amazing rolled tacos and their burritos are gigantic! The only thing I don’t like about them is that their prices have gone up and they just put painter’s tape over the old prices and wrote the new ones in sharpie. But whatever, they still get 5 stars. Also, it’s right next to a laundromat, so you can get super good, authentic Mexican food while you wait for your clothes.

Mexican food for real, big portions food is good. Yet for a dinning experience they have a small dinning area, although they have a patio, there is no ambience, it’s a parking lot-for real. Old school– they don’t accept credit/debit cards; I did not know until it was time to pay, a major inconvinience.

Great hole in the wall place! Looks a bit sketchy on the outside, but boy can this place sure deliver! The good here is always on point! Always fresh and always satisfies! Come here frequently with my boyfriend and we share a burrito. They are THAT huge! You get a lot of bang for your buck, and that says a lot. Especially because I really hate saying that phrase. Great place to try! Fair warning, they have huge portions! Anything pairs awesomely with some cold horchata. Get a lot of ice though, because it’s really sweet! NOTE: ITISCASHONLY! This may seem like a downside for many, as it does add a bit of inconveniencing, but the food is great and that’s what I love about it.

We go to a lot of taco shops and this is our new favorite. Geraldine loves the caldo de res, I love the carne aside nachos, burrito and the potato egg and ham breakfast burrito. The burrito has thick tasty chunks of ham unlike other places. As a tip call your caldo in so it is ready!

I have no clue what day it was that I came here but everything else in the plaza was closed. I was extremely hungry and this was open! I ordered the carne asada burrito, which was amazing! I swear they cooked it fresh and it was a great size too! The other cool thing about this taco shop is the drinking machine, tell me if you’ve ever seen an horchata drink machine?! Cause i haven’t and was easily amused. I’d definitely come here again, great service, pretty clean, and nice area.
