Comfort Inn & Suites

We stayed here 3 nights it was a worse stay. Even the hotel has no smoking policy people are allowed to smoke weed. the smell was in hallways, rooms and everywhere. Calling the front desk didn’t help. spoke tp the manager she said it s legal in CA so she can’t dp anything. .wow.housekeeping left my room door open all day when I came back at 10pm door was open. a man and woman were fighting in the hallway all night management didn’t do anything… the breakfast was bad too it was in a small room where they have scramble eggs, bread, coffee and bad tasting muffins… I would never stay at any comfort in…

Stood here a couple years ago with my sister. We luved it, super clean lobby & rooms, with a nice & friendly staff .
Continental breakfast was pretty good as well. Would def stay here again.

The staff was super friendly and made sure to do their best to accommodate to our needs. The room we stayed in was really nice and the beds were super comfy! The room itself was also very affordable.

Very rude staff, very unpleasant hotel.
The first room we got smelt like a mixture of dead bodies and an outhouse. The whole hotel wreaks of a mold stench.
Eventually we were able to switch to a slightly less repulsive room. However, they were doing construction right on the other side of our that sounded exactly like dental work was being done.
When concerns were brought to the management, they encouraged me to check out. Very, very unprofessional.
Save your money and sanity, do NOT stay here.

This hotel provided a great location, clean rooms, great customer service, and all at an affordable price. I would recommend staying at this hotel to my friends and I will definitely stay at this hotel again. I also liked the free breakfast and the free wifi was great added touch. Some of the hotels I was looking required a fee for wifi, but not this one.

Very thin walls and the staff is a mixed bunch. The room keys constantly deactivated so every time I needed to get into my room I had to go downstairs for a new one. The staff was nice when the happened, but it got old. I am aware of not putting them near cell phones and credit cards, but that was no help for these keys. The walls are very thin, I heard everything from my neighbors having sex to the yappy chihuahua on the floor above us. I’m glad I was only there for two nights.
On our checkout day I mistook the checkout time for 12pm, but it is actually 11am and they will hold you to this! Ten minutes after noon I got a call asking if we were planning to stay another night and I said no and then the woman stated that checkout was at 11am so I apologized for my mistake and said we’d be right out. I barely had the phone back on the receiver (no joke) and there was a knock at the door. The same woman I just spoke to on the phone was at my door now with the same argumentative attitude. I told her I had made a mistake about the checkout time and pointed to my suitcase that was packed and said I was walking out at that moment. She repeated that we were welcome to stay another night and I had to tell her again that wasn’t necessary. It was an honest mistake and I didn’t feel like they needed to be so pushy about it.
On another note, they offered a really nice breakfast and to my surprise wasn’t picked over by 9am. Also the hotel and my room were very clean and offered a cozy bed. I’d consider staying here again or at another choice hotel for the sake of giving them a second chance. I learned my lesson and will be aware of the different check out times.

Pretty nice. Pool is large for a hotel 8ft deep and clean. Rooms were clean, staff was super nice, cable TV lots of channels. Wifi was barely usable at night. Breakfast was pretty decent with a waffle machine. Don’t walk around late at night. Not a great neighborhood. Nothing dangerous, just a couple of bars close by and the normal pan handlers. This was the most reasonable for the 5 of us. We had a «suite» which was really just a big room with 2 queens and a pullout sofa.

Nice, clean, and friendly. Free breakfast which actually taste great. Free wifi.

I have always loved Choice Hotels. They have the best value for your buck in my opinion plus, breakfast is always included in the cost of your hotel stay. My family and I needed a clean, comfortable and safe hotel to stay in for 1 night in Chula Vista so, naturally I booked through
. I found Comfort Inn & Suites in Chula Vista and was NOT disappointed! I was greeted by Carlos at the desk who was WONDERFUL! He accommodated my family and some! He upgraded us to a suite as we have 4 people and LOTS of stuff with a baby. The room was very spacious with a separate room with sleeper sofa. Also, there was a flat screen TV with all cable channels. Plus, FREE wifi! Debbie, who works the front desk in the evenings, is also GREAT! Our room was clean and comfortable and we will be returning for another stay. Thanks Choice Hotels, Carlos and Debbie!

Are you joking? Damp-​smelling rooms that were super-​outdated, not so personable staff, and a foul area. The only thing keeping this from a one-​star is the gym which was fine.
I really don’t ask for much besides a clean room in a safe-​feeling environment. This offered neither.
BTW– hilarious note if you are staying there– Janie’s, the dive bar next door, has the most ridiculous karaōke night ever. Janie’s was truly the only high point of a horrible two-​week stay.

Wow, surprise surprise. Who would’ve guessed a hotel this nice existed on E Street. Very close to the trolley station (seriously a 5 minute walk), and other places to eat. Close to the 5.
The rooms were clean and modern (except the tv, which was from the late 90’s). The pool was a bit small, but if you’re staying in SD, do you really wanna lounge out at a pool? Free wireless, and an ok continental breakfast cap off the pretty decent exp. Not the fanciest hotel, but pretty good for the price, and it’s proximity to other things.

— Free breakfast: It’s not dinky either like some places that just offer toast and coffee. This place has cereal, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, and bread. The best part though, is the do it yourself waffle maker. It’s a pretty common thing to have now at the hotels, but I never tried it because I didn’t think it would be all that. Mmmm… I was sooo wrong.
— A gym: It has a treadmill, elliptical, bike, and a multi weight station thingy (can you tell that I haven’t used that one yet haha). TIP OF THE DAY, they have a water cooler in there. So if you’re thirsty, now you don’t have to be ghetto and wait for the ice to melt in your ice bucket, yay!
— Free WiFi and a business center
Those are the top four that I look for, but they also have a convenience store, pool, hot tub, and a BBQ area.
All these necessities for under $ 100 with a friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Granted it is in Chula Vista, but whatever nothing ever got stolen from my work truck… yet haha.
