I can’t really comment about the hotel, because I never stayed. I pull a goose neck trailer, and when I booked this hotel(online) I verified that they had RV parking, and indication that I can park my pickup and trailer. When I got to the hotel, I asked where the parking was, and I was informed that they did not have any. huh? I pulled up their ad, and showed it to the gal, and she stated that it was a third party booking, and they aren’t responsible for what is advertised. oh yeah, and no refunds. Huh? I called the booking company, they apologized, found me a room about 6 miles away, and gave me a $ 40 coupon for the trouble. I was surprised at how curt the front desk was.

This place is ridiculous, ZEROSTARS!!! Had my niece and nephew over to swim along with my sister and brothers. We were all swimming in the pool and they said to many people where in the pool. Mind you the pool rules posted on the wall said max of 25 people in pool area. They proceeded to say there is to many people in the pool and if we don’t get out they will kick us out. So a couple of us left and once we went to open our door to the room the key didn’t work. All because we had 8 people at the pool. It’s 92 degrees outside and my niece and nephew wanted to swim and I paid $ 60 bucks for the night. But nope they don’t care straight kicked us out. Flippin D bags!!! Anyways the Vagabond next door is legit!!! We all went swimming and ate pizza with everyone!!!

Bad neighborhood. There are iron bars around the compound and as our room was across the street, our room key was needed to enter the parking lot. As we intended to take one bag with 3 days worth of clothes to the room, I was very uneasy about leaving the rest of the ten day supply of clothes in the car. My wife checked out the room and reported back that there seemed to be many«long term» guests and there was a pile of refrigerators and cabinet fixtures in the middle of the courtyard. At that point we decided to sacrifice the $ 80 we spent on the room and checked into the Comfort Inn. Not a good way to start a three week road trip.

Great experience for a great price. The receptionist at the lobby was nice. I was able to rent a room without a reservation. The room is clean and cozy right by the pool. I enjoy the wifi and the big comfy bed. The continental breakfast was nice, consisting of baked goods, coffee, cereal and fruit. The location is within walking distance of food and convenient stores. No issues at all. I had a nice stay and I will return if I am in the area again. Thank you.

I wish I could put zero stars! This place is awful. From the time of check in everything seemed like it was bothering the lady at the front desk. Prior to making my reservation I called to be sure they had the room that was being advertised. Very politely she said yes. Ha! Once myself and my fiancé arrive to check in she stares at us for several minutes in the lobby. She then very dryly says«yes» yes what? Anyway, we proceed to check in and get to our room where NONE of the features I asked about over the phone were present. I shared my concern with the lady at the front desk and she said they were sold out of the other rooms and she didn’t know that’s what I wanted. We went on and went back to the room highly upset. Went to bed later that night when I was woken out of my sleep by severe itching on my foot. Unfortunately I’ve been bitten by bed bugs so I recognize the signs. Both myself and fiancé had served as the common«breakfast, lunch, and dinner». I caught the bed bugs. Rather large ones too! Omg. And we showed them to the guy at the front desk, by this time there was a shift change. He was understanding and pretty grossed out himself. He gave us another room, across the street. We gathered our things transferred rooms and fell asleep. We woke a few hours later to find we were once again yummy snacks for the underworld of the mattress. I know they have reasonable rates, but please take your money elsewhere this place is so not worth it. We report it to the MANAGER and her response was«well we don’t have anymore rooms so idk what you want me to do. you can leave or stay»

First of all if I could put 0 stars I WOULD! Horrible place! It was disgusting. The couch looked dirty, the stove was disgusting, & everything looked so old and gross. Especially the beds, everything was horrible about this place. I DONTRECCOMENDIT!

I am writing this review for my parents. They been staying at this location on a business trip and yesterday I received a call from my mom asking about information on bed bugs. She notified the janitor and they were able to change the rooms. Again the new room she’s in has bed bugs. They are infested with bed bugs!

This«motel» was pretty ghetto!!! This was no hotel and suites, I was even shocked that the Howard Johnson’s name was even attached to this ghetto ness. Exterior: Every hotel near this one looked so much nicer, we even passed a Motel 6 that was more curb pleasing. The area was horrible but we thought it would be ok because there was a gate around the parking lot. We were wrong. We had to scan our key about five times to get the the entrance gate to open fully. First two times the gate wouldn’t move and then third and fourth time it would open half way and stop. Then to top it off the exit gate was broken and wouldn’t open at all. You had to back all the way up and exit through the entrance. Room: The room was big I will give them that and the bed was comfortable and that’s the only good thing I can say about that. The tv was a big old box tube tv from the 90s that wasn’t that great. The bed comforter had some kind of «love» stain on top of it. The bottom corners of the walls had paint chips as if a rat was gnawing on it and the toilet had some kind black stain along the rim of the bowl. Staff: We called to see if we can check in a little earlier, we felt 3 o’clock was a little ridiculous. We gave the girl our info on the phone and confirmation number and she was telling us we were giving her the wrong info and we had to talk to . We then stopped in to check in and I told the same girl my name and she then easily found our reservation, to me it seems she didn’t wanna deal with us on the phone. When I checked out the same night I first politely waited for the guy to check in a group of three and when it was my turn and walked up to the desk the phone had wrang. Instead of placing them on hold he just gave me the finger sign telling me to wait while he spoke on the phone. Overall experience: HORRIBLE!!! We went to SD area for the day and didn’t want to have to drive home the same night. We loved SD and our first destination and then when we hit this hotel it went sour. We didn’t even stay the night. We came back at night got our stuff and just went home

Pros: Great price Huge rooms King size bed was very comfortable Kitchenette Good hotel security gate Lots of good non-chain restaurants within walking distance Pool Free continental breakfast which I did not eat since I like a full breakfast, but good enough for some. Close to water and freeway Very clean Cons: Sketchy neighborhood, but rather interesting Old tube TV, but worked fine Noisy AC unit Door to bedroom did not close due to king size bed but not a concern Do your homework on Chula Vista, it’s not Coronado, but if you want a cheap hotel with lots of room close to the freeway near San Diego this is the one you want.
