I had the pansit which tasted just like my papa makes, they also had some chicken sigsig and shishkabob chicken. I think the chicken was cooked a little too young but it was still tasty. I also had some dinagon and turon which both tasted really good and were cheaper than a lot of places! 2 turon for $ 1(: I’ll definitely be going back.

Best Filipino food in town! No competition! I would recommend getting the combo with pork adobo and pinakbet. The chicken adobo is good but i feel the pork adobo gives you the most bang for your buck. The sigsig is also very good here.

My go-to place for Filipino food. Generous portions. Tasty. Plenty of options. Husband likes the menudo and I like the Bicol express when they have it. Friendly service that don’t make me feel weird that I don’t speak Tagalog because I’m not Filipino when I look like I do.

This place is garbage. I walked in and the place wasn’t busy at all. I asked the lady if they had any halo halo left and she looked in the fridge and said yes. The gentleman behind me that was ordering his food(in Tagalog) asked her if he can add halo halo to his order as well. I may not understand Tagalog but I sure well heard the word halo halo. She comes to me and said there’s no more halo halo. I took two steps towards the door and I said hold up… Walked back to the counter as she was prepping the halo halo for the man behind me. I told her not to tell me that you had it then come tell me you don’t because you want to give it to the man behind me. I asked him if he ordered it and he said yes but you can have it since you had ordered before me. He said he didn’t know she was going to give him the last one which was supposed to be the one I had ordered. Basically I told them that isn’t the way to conduct business and not that my review would matter but I figured she thought since I couldn’t understand what they were saying that I wouldn’t have caught on… What a shame.

I LOVE the food at Jochi grill! They have the best Filipino food, in San Diego. They have already catered my baby shower & a few days ago, my daughters 1st birthday. Every time I order from them, the food goes quick, and people always ask where I get it from. My go to items are: Kaldaretta, chicken afritada, sisig, menudo, lumpia & lechon. For dessert, they also have great bilo-bilo. They will always be my go-to for catering! Also, the owners Auntie Chit & Uncle Del are awesome!

I was always curious about this place after shopping at Seafood City. Last night my wife and I were craving Filipino food and realized this is one place we haven’t tried yet. We’ve tried many of the other south bay spots but I found them to be overrated. Some have good food. Some have poor service. Some just don’t ever have food options even when you’re there early for lunch or dinner. We arrived about an hour prior to close. I had expectations that some of the food may already be out since it’s close to closing. To my surprise, they weren’t. While waiting in line, there were probably 2 – 3 items being refilled fresh from the kitchen. Here’s what we ordered: 1 item with rice and pork adobo 1 item with pancit and sisig 1 side order of pork tocino 1 pound of lechon The portions were very generous. What I like most was that I was able to select which slab of lechon I wanted for my 1 pound. Once selected, it was taken to the kitchen to be cut. The pancit was fresh and done how I like it. The sisig was had the right amount of tamarind flavor. Some of the pieces were crispy and some were not. The adobo was excellent. The Tocino was piled high and had the right amount of sweetness to it. It had a lot of oil which I can do without but it was in a separate bowl. And the lechon was perfect! It was crispy, had a lot of meat and a good amount of pork fat. This place is about 10 minutes from my house. There are 4 other Filipino spots similar to this which are closer to me but are 2 or 3 stars in my book. Looks like Jochi Resto Grill is my new GO-TO spot for point-point Filipino food.

Food is ok. Some dishes are good some arent. The sisig and lechon are always excellent. The servings are on the small side. I would rather go to tita’s but it’s conveniently located next to seafood city.

If you’re ever missing your parents filipino cooking, look no further. Jochi’s does the same justice as your typical family style filipino-food. I normally order the a la carte packages, $ 4.50 for a medium pack of Adobo and Kare Kare… MYFAV! Very friendly staff!

Clean and very nice service. Talk about getting a serving, try this place out because it’s not just for one person. One item and pancit or rice is enough to feed two people. Happy we stopped there. Can’t beat the service, the ladies are very nice and the portions are more then generous in size…

You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle. Steve Jobs February 24, 1955 — October 5, 2011 Saturday 11am: My search for delicious lechon kawali and a recommendation from Maritess brought me here. Aroma from various dishes in the air. Hard to distinguish individual scents but I like the smell here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pancit had a delicious flavor from the noodles, chicken, and veggies. Lechon kawali had crunchy skin and pork had good flavor except it was overcooked and mostly crunchy. I prefer my pork more tender and juicy like Chinese style roast pork. Bbq chicken skewer had a smoky aroma and excellent flavor. Moist, and tender unlike the lechon kawali. Lechon kawali has potential here but all the pieces the counter lady had available appeared to be dry and crunchy. I’m going to keep looking for moist and tender lechon kawali. I will come back to this place when I’m craving pancit or bbq skewers.

I like this place. Really fresh and a large variety to choose from. The taste is like mom made it. The portions are huge and the prices are good. The restaurant itself is traditional Filipino style décor. It’s even hit inside with fans blowing… lol. Very friendly staff. It’s clean as well.

The food is alright. The sigsig was ok and that’s what I was craving but the fat overpowered. Caldareta was delicious. Sinigang could of had more meat but it was still good. Servings are decent. 3 stars are due to the fact that the trash was so full that we couldn’t even put our stuff in the trash. That factor added to all the trash that was outside within the strip mall. Trash everywhere. I’ll visit again if I’m SUPER hungry in the area and craving Filipino food.

I didn’t feel like driving to National City so I came here. I got a 3 item combo. All the food in display looked amazing I wanted to order more. Portions are huge it’s like I barely touched my meal! Pretty tasty to me.

Came here for dinner because we were in the neighborhood and I was craving some Filipino food since I am a Filipina! We walk in and I was looking at all the food items. I order pancit, sisig, chicken adobo with rice. Hubby also gets some lumpia and lechon kawali. The lumpia came with a sweet and sour sauce which was a little watery and was not thick. I also got a can of diet Coke. After we get our orders, we grab a tray since we wanted to dine in. There are several tables in the restaurant. The pancit was soft and had some cabbage, pieces of chicken and thin slices of carrots. It was good and flavorful. The chicken adobo was a little greasy cause of the fat of the skin but the meat was soft and delicious. Sisig had more grease on it which I could not eat too much of. I have had sisig at other places where it is not as greasy. Talk about clogging your arteries. LOL! Lumpia was good and fresh. The lechon kawali was good. Meat was tender and I loved eating the skin cause it is so crunchy. The staff there was nice and kept the line going and taking orders. You can either eat in or take out your orders. The servings are plentiful and enough for leftovers the next day. There is plenty of parking in front so getting in and out was easy. If you are craving Filipino food, come here.

The food is pretty legit. Prob the best sisig I’ve tasted in a long time. The sinigang and skewers are also quite delicious. My only complaint is it is a bit expensive. Although, they do give you big portions. My husband and I can’t eat a lot so we split a combo of sinigang and sisig. It usually comes out to $ 8 – 9. The sisig small party plate is $ 55. I wanted to buy it for my lola’s bday, but we’re going with another place that has it for $ 40.

I’ve lived in SoCal my whole life from LA to SD, and this is hands down the best Filipino food I’ve ever had. Their tocino is unlike ANYWHERE else I’ve been, it’s SUPER bomb. Just wish they had eggs. Always very generous portions, and GREAT prices. Think it’s about $ 5 for 1 entrée? Sinigang, longuanesia, adobo, milk fish — all other great entrees. Love love love it here.

This place is pretty small and definitely has a mom and pop feel to it. They have the average to-go styrofoam container that you can fill with 2 – 3 items chosen from the buffet and it’s very well priced. to fill half the container with one item is only $ 3. And by half I don’t mean like barely any food – they load that sucker up. Also, their lumpia is pretty great and also reasonably priced. The staff is quite friendly too! If you’re craving basic tasty Filipino food that’s fast and on a budget, Jochi Resto is the place.

My family and I really enjoy the Filipino food here and frequently place to-go orders. Growing up in San Diego with a diverse group of friends, Filipino food is another taste that I’ve come to be fond of, and this place is legit. It’s setup similar to a Chinese restaurant(Panda Express) where the food sits out buffet style and you choose your combos and make your selections. I’m actually not really fond of the setup, but I deal with it since I do enjoy the food and the presentation doesn’t seem too gross. They are very generous with their portions as well, which is great! Our family favorite is chicken adobo. If you order rice, upon request they can drizzle adobo sauce over it.Mmm. We also enjoy their pancit. It’s great with lime and/or a boiled egg. I don’t eat pork, so I’m really grateful that they prepare the pancit with a chicken base. The lumpia however, is pork, and you can have them brown bag like 10 pieces for $ 4 or so. I recently tried their beef stew-like mixture which was quite tasty too. Has a good amount of veggies. Check them out adjacent to Seafood City.

Jochi closes at 7:30 pm. I went in at about 7:10 on a Friday night. I was debating what to order and settled with getting a 2 item combo. I had read fellow Nette’s review that she had asked for half rice and half pancit so when the guy who was preparing my order asked if I wanted rice or pancit, I had asked him if I can have half and half. He gladly gave me my order. But what I didn’t know was instead of filling my box up with a quarter of rice and a quarter of pancit, he filled the box up with half rice and half pancit. I looked at the box and said to myself, «Oh em gee! That’s a lot of food for me!» I guess it was almost closing time and they were really generous with me. I happened to come in at a perfect time! My side items were pinakbet and bbq pork. I was debating over tocino or the bbq pork. The gentleman told me that they charge extra for bbq pork but he gave it to me anyways. I thought that it was extra nice of him to do so. I ended up paying $ 7.02(tax included) and I had more than enough food to last myself for at least 3 days! The pancit was tasty. It wasn’t greasy at all. The pinakbet was okay. I have had better. The bbq pork was delicious. That night I barely put a dent on the food that was given to me. Mama and papa dukes ended up eating it for dinner the night after and they still had leftovers! I shall return and try their tocino. It looked yummy. Plus, the owner or gentleman that helped me was really nice. Not only was he generous, but he was sweet to tell me to drive home safe and to be careful. It was raining cats and dogs that night.
