My family loves getting Pan de Sal here. We always get it when it comes fresh out of the oven. One time we had to buy them from the per-packaged bags because we could not wait for the fresh one it was not as bad as some of the reviews say it is, it was not warm but it was good. We got some for Thanksgiving this year(2015) we had to wait about 5 minutes for it to come out of the oven but they had a good system going. You came in paid and they would but a number in your receipt. Then once the bred came out they called the number out and you were done.

I was craving some empanadas and everyone was closing at 8 last night, so I Unilocaled up nearby places and we were a couple miles from here. This little Valerio’s Bakeshop is located inside the Seafood City. It’s immediately to your left upon entering the store. It’s full of hot, savory goodies and sweet baked deliciousness. Unfortunately they were out of the empanadas. Don’t worry on my behalf, it’s a bakery, I didn’t leave empty handed. The front cases looked a little empty, it was an hour before closing though. The shelves were still pretty well stocked. They had a good selection of bread and rolls. There was a table in the center with tasty looking cakes and turon available by the piece. Service was friendly when we went to check out. You pay for your bakery items at the register there before you enter the store to shop. I’ve got to say, those cheese rolls are delicious. I’m seriously thinking about excuses to get down there for some more.

I agree with the previous Unilocaler. Their cheeseballs were old. My friend and I were there yesterday, Sunday 4÷12÷15. The lady in the shop kept pressuring my friend to buy 15 cheeseballs. My friend informed the lady that before she put them in the box, she needs to confirm with her kids if they even want that much. My friend finally fell for the associate’s sales pressure and bought the 15. My friend just told me today that the cheeseballs are expired and inedible. They are«hard as a rock!» She would have just let it go, but knowing that the lady may have known about the cheeseballs’ condition, she wanted me to write a review about this shop. Instead of going to this location, try the one in National City. We’ve been going to that one for years. Don’t waste your money on this location. I hope someday they’ll realize that a small incident can affect their business.

Good filipino baked goods. Service is pretty good. I usually stop here to pick up items for work and family functions when I get a request for filipino baked goods.

The food here is as great as any other Valerios, just much more expensive than their other locations. If you’re looking for siopao as I always am, go to the Valerios on Plaza. It’s so much cheaper. 4 for $ 12 vs 6 for $ 12.

Ok people, there is actually a sign that says«debit/card has to be a minimum of $ 10» So don’t freak out, read before you buy anything OR if you can’t find it just ask. Better yet, just have some cash in you, so you won’t have the hassle of buying a lot for that«minimum of $ 10» Pan de sal? yeah, it’s good, but have you ever tried their«cheese balls?» it’s damn pretty good! It’s like eating an ensaymada inside out! Unlike those regular ensaymada with sprinkled sugar on top which is messy to eat, this cheese balls doesn’t. Only 75 cent! try it guys, it’s worth the taste bud satisfaction ;)

Love fresh bake, just out of the oven, warm pandesal! My kids like the«bulilits», with ube or pimento. Their empanadas are also better than the ones they sell a few doors down at Red Ribbon. Good siopao too… But for cheese rolls, I would still go to the national city Valerios…

Please do not waste your time here the bread although it looks fresh we have definitely gotten a day or two old, the cheese bread which is wonderful at valencios bakery on plaza blvd, here has absolutely no cheese. The drive to national city is worth it, same price but because there are more customers you get better product. They don’t give you a receipt either and when I ask to return the cheese bread or even exchange they said I needed a receipt, very disappointed in service and product.

All you need to know is that I can’t get enough of the pandesal here. It’s soft, fresh, warm, yummy, puffy, round, squishy… almost huggable. Yea I’ll stop with the adjectives. It’s delicious. Go buy some, eat it, and love it.

I always go to Valerios bakeshop inside seafood city Chula Vista because of their delicious breads and i also suggested about the basket to the cashier but the lady told me that they tried it before but end up losing their baskets, customers will most of the time bring it inside seafood city and will not leave it within the vicinity of the bakery. The lady told me that customers will use seafood city basket instead :)

On my way home from work, I stopped at Seafood City since I had a craving for some siopao. I found this little bakery inside(front left side corner). I thought it was a good sign that it was busy. I found the siopao in the fridge. They came in packages of four in either pork or chicken for $ 6. They also looked fresh, since the package had some condensation. I also couldn’t help but notice other baked goods such as pan de sal stuffed with tuna, menudo or chicken. They also had other traditional Filipino desserts such as puto, bibingka, and pan de ube. Although not a traditional Filipino dessert, I couldn’t resist taking some brownies(and they were only $ 2.50). I was waiting in line to pay and was talking to the lady in front of me about how convenient it would be if they had shopping baskets, and… my brownies slipped and fell. Yes, perfectly good brownies fell all over the floor! The gals at the counter were nice and cleaned up the mess while I got another package. If anyone at Valerio’s is reading this, please get shopping baskets. Then your customers aren’t limited in buying only what they can carry. I still like them though. The siopao were tasty. They shred their meat and cook it in a flavorful sweet sauce. They also heated up well the next day. They also know how to make a good brownie. I would have preferred them to be thicker but they did have a nice chewy consistency and crunch due to the walnuts. I will be back but hopefully they will have shopping baskets by then.
