Horrible he asked the same questions over the phone to my face I gave same answers then he decided to give me different rates. 220 to get into my trunk? That made no sense had to give him 20 $ to leave or he’d call the cops. Said they only make keys but I asked that over the phone and he said he’d figure it out and still took 30/​45min to get to me. When he was coming from down the street.

Outstanding… the best ever!!! I’m from the bay area and he was right there working on my rentals in Imperial beach. I spoke with him on the phone and he seemed very pleasant and could understand my concern since I was miles away.
I had a family coming in for their vacation and I was shook up knowing my front door locks were jammed and no-​one could enter my unit. He was very calming and prompt and very professional… went above and beyond his service as far as programming, and observing the area which was part of the cause of the problem. The door was out of alignement and went ahead and aligned it without even charging, took time to explain everything is details until I understood the situation. He gave me a phone # in case I ever needed help with programming since the Schlage locks can be very tricky. He cleaned up and was very tidy, and have used him with all my rentals. You can relax knowing your in great hands… he always comes through with flying colors and gets the job down!!!

My patio access door was not operational for the past several months. The deadbolt would not lock or open, rather it would just spin and spin. I called a few guys that advertised on the internet and when I described the door and the problem they passed on the checking it out. The door is an Andersen Patio door with a secure three way locking system. I have not used the door in quite a long time due to not being able to find someone to fix it. Then, the other day I was walking home from dropping my daughter to school and I noticed a truck with locksmith ad on the door. I saw someone getting into the car. I introduced myself and my problem to Joey of Joey’s Locksmith. He said he could come by in a few minutes to check it out. Sure enough he came by a bit later. He knew what he was doing. He diagnosed the problem by looking at a similar door in the master bedroom and then taking off the hardware on the broken door. The fix was simple, he realized that there were some loose screws in the lock. Nothing broken and no new parts needed. The door works great now. Joey knew what he was doing. My take away from this experience is that the fix may be simple if the right person looks at it, however, if someone who doesn’t know what they are doing looks at the problem a lot of time, money and effort may be wasted. Good work Joey and thanks for your help.

Our mail lock broke and had been broken for a couple of days. Found Joey online, saw the previous reviews on Unilocal so I gave Joey a call. Answered right away and was very helpful and knowledgeable. Was at my house within 20mins! Mailbox lock replaced within another 15mins. Crazy fast/​efficient but never felt like he was rushing off thinking of the next customer. True customer service at its best. I’m keeping him in my contacts list as my locksmith to go to from now on. THANK YOU Joey!

Amazing quick and outstanding service. When Joey tells you he can be there in 10 minutes, that’s not crazy talk, he definitely means it. During our quick conversation, he was able to unlock the bathroom door with his array of tools. Bam! Simple and easy.
I also appreciate that if I have a question or two about installing my own locks or doorknobs, he’s willing to answer my questions over the phone. That’s a plus in my books.

I tried installing a new deadbolt for my front door without the proper tools and ended up having a long stripped screw lodged ¾ of the way in my door frame.
Joey arrived promptly on a Sunday morning no less. He took out the stripped screw and installed the new deadbolt using his arsenal of tools. He even installed the side door deadbolt and re-​keyed the locks so only one set of keys needed. Joey was professional and friendly & even shared some tips on installation. Excellent service.
