Planned Parenthood Chula Vista

I came here a few years ago and I was very nervous but every worker helped me feel welcomed and relaxed great atmosphere. I make sure to have an appointment and will wait about 20 minutes but still I have no problem, I came and after reviewing my birth control options I decided on an implant and was told to make an appointment to have the procedure done another day but on the way out Thelma helped and squeezed me in to get it done right then and there. Great workers gladly and proud to give donations.

shitty service and the wait is horrible I had and appointment with my wife at 12 and it’s been 2 hours and they still haven’t called her, we asked for how long the wait was going to be and they said 45 minutes more fuck this place they suck balls

DO NOT COME HERE. These people are committing systemic fraud and theft. They will then use their security measures to keep you from getting the situation resolved. The employees at this location are THIEVES. You WILL have your money stolen and your trust violated. If you cannot afford to have hundreds of dollars stolen, you cannot afford to have contact with the liars here in Chula Vista. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

The fat heffers at the front desk are rude and do not listen. Also they don’t seem to give a crap about people checking in for their appointment, I checked in 20 minutes before someone with the same time and surprise, they’re in plus the loser than came late.
The wait WITH AN APPOINTMENT is over an hour. Wtf is that about it? This might as well be a walk in the way the front desk and doctors handle patients. Quit over booking people if you cant even, see them within 2 hours of their appointment.

After waiting for 2 and a half hours, I decided to leave. By far the worst planned parenthood I’ve been to. It also smelled horrible. I should have just stuck to what I know and went to the city heights PPH.

I wish I had checked the reviews before I came to this PP. I came here because I was close by and they had a convenient time slot online so made an appointment and I have no clue why, it was scheduled for 2:20, my name wasn’t called until 4. I got up and asked if they were over booked because of the large amount of people in the waiting room, the receptionists’ response was «We are pretty busy» like, that wasn’t my question… then she proceeds to tell me there’s one person ahead of me and I literally watched 5 people get called before me. They don’t respect your time or value theirs patients here, regardless of what they’re run off of, donations or whatever… every other PP I’ve been to are pretty much good with their time management, this place has it all wrong. I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone I take my time seriously and completely waste it here!!! You’ve been warned. I’ll drive to the hood first (Euclid, College Ave) before I come to this location again.

I’ve been coming here for years, considering I have no health insurance and they provide you with basic care. However yesterday I went in because I started experiencing symptoms of a UTI. I look online it says they close at 7. I go in at 4:30, I tell the tall black, bald dude, what’s going on and says he can’t admit me because they close in 30mins… WHIXH means they’re still open. Well now I have a kidney infection! Thanks planned parent hood! Not only will you be receiving a complaint call from me on the 26^th but you’ll also be hearing a call from my lawyer ! :D

This place doesn’t keep your appointment on the set schedule, I’ve been to different locations and if your time is at 2pm your in by 2pm not wait 1 hr plus ! What’s the point of an appointment if you must wait over an hour, last Time coming here !

this place is amazing. scheduling is annoying because the wait times are long even with appointments, but the staff is so professional, courteous, and genuinely caring and helpful. The male nurse who saw me, David, was friendly and made sure I was comfortable which I was really impressed with since I was initially uncomfortable. My doctor Emily was also incredible. She was pleasant, explained everything to me so I could understand easily, and didn’t seem to be flustered or inattentive despite handling multiple patients (this explains the wait time and it’s worth it!!). Love this place, I’m planning to go back again even though it’s forty minutes away and there’s one closer to me.

I understand planned parenthood runs on donations and has limited staffing abilities but seriously today was ridiculous. The receptionist said they only have 3 physicians working and the appointments run anywhere from 30 – 45 min a piece. Well there was about 20 people waiting already when I arrived. Let me start by saying this clinic is worse than the dmv and the health & human services agency combined… I had an apt at 12:20 today. I walked into the clinic and got in line early, at 12pm. By 1:45 I still hadn’t been called and after checking in with the receptionist to see how much longer, I was told there’s only 1 person in front of me– but then 3 other names get called within the next 3 minutes. What’s worse is The first time I checked in was with the other receptionist at about 1pm, she said about 4 other people were in front of me… But somehow at least 10 people were called before I asked again. Honestly If you’re going to be understaffed, don’t book SO many appointments SO close together– spread them out at least so in case someone does have a «complication» the next patient isn’t affected to the extent of which I was today. A patient shouldn’t have to plan to be at an «appointment» for upwards of 2 hours if the appointment they came in for is only scheduled for a 30 – 45 minute time frame… Completely unorganized and irritating; I wish kaiser could refer me elsewhere because this so unprofessional, discomforting and an inconvenience to say the least.

This clinic doesn’t have the rating it deserves.
Everyone needs to understand that clinics like Planned Parenthood are running on donations. Now more than ever, with the government wanting to defund this fundamental and necessary organization, they depend on the public help.
I’ve never had to wait for long period of time, even the times I don’t have an appointment.
I definitely encourage everyone to make appointments. Very easy to do over the phone and online as well.
My experiences at this clinic have always been excellent. All the staff are amazing and very helpful. From the reception to the Drs.
They also come to my school and have informational booths where they can answer all questions from birth control to women health information.

LOL talk about feeling like a shitlord fifteen year old again, ugh. So, I found myself at this PP despite all the miserable reviews because it was the only one offering an appointment at a convenient time.
As far as the facility goes, it’s pretty ratchet. However, the employees and person who performed my Pap smear were absolutely lovely! The medical assistant and doctor were beyond comforting and informative! I would recommend this planned parenthood to anyone! Don’t be fooled by the building!

I wish I could give 0 stars. I brought a friend here last week and they were behind almost 2 hours with their appointments. I came for myself and AGAIN they were behind an hour and a half. AVOID THIS CLINIC. The other PPH are much better and more proficient.

The only reason I give this place more than 1 star is because I love the services they provide and the attitude they have.
However, the wait period is RIDICULOUSLY LONG. My appointment was scheduled for 11:40 and my name wasn’t called till about 1pm. When I walked up to the door where the nurse had called my name, no one was there. I talked to someone about hearing my name and explained my situation (having to urinate and the amount of time that had gone by). The lady at the desk kindly allowed me to go back and handle part of the business but it turns out someone else with my same name took my spot. She had only been here 5 minutes. They still took her before me.
The point I’m trying to make is that they are very inefficient and lacking when it comes to time management and organization dealing with patients. I’m very un-​happy with my visit. Ill be going to another location.
I would also suggest they start using first and last names when they call patients to the back.

This place cancelled my appointment while I was sitting down for 1hours ppl that have walked in after me were being seen before this is not how healthcare should work this planned parenthood in this area is never on there job when it comes to helping others smh I will never come here again and they tell you’re business out loud when you are at the window and that’s hurtful smh NEVER AGAIN called out of work and still was late and got nothing done this why they are short of staff because people don’t wanna come here because they are never on time with shit

What is the point of an appointment if have to wait 2 hours to see the doctor? People who just walked in could see the doctor before me. This is so disrespectful!

I had set my appointment for 7 right when they open thinking it’d be quick. It’s 7:49 and the clinic is still waiting for a clinician and I overheard them saying she wasn’t even going to be here till 9! Seriously. I have yet to be told directly but heard the front desk tell another patient.

Incredible staff. I was seen within minutes of arriving. The nurse practitioner was great and so was the assistant. I can’t say enough good things about this clinic.

This location has made major improvements over the years. The staff is super helpfully and friendly. The nurses are warm and welcoming and don’t make you feel weird for being there. I loved the doctor– she was outstanding. Best of all– they had me in and out. My appointment was at 12:40 and I was done at 1:15. Being a girl isn’t always easy but planned parenthood sure helps the process!

I had a great experience. Didnt even have to. wait for a long time when I checked in for my appointment. The nurses were all very polite and helpful. I was very scared and nervous about my experience and they gave me very helpful information and I felt comfortable. This planned parenthood is allot better than the one on euclid
