I have a business close by to this location. I have had many lunch breaks here and have just recently used them to cater a small meeting. They were very accommodating to my needs. This location always has delicious food and good customer service. And they keep the place clean. I will be giving this Rubio’s my business for a long time!

The staff here is the best. The management is awesome. They are always kind and attentive and even when the place is busy, they still ask you how everything was and if there is anything they can do for you. Oh and the food is always fresh and delicious.

I came here on Sunday early afternoon after church to place some orders to go: 2 fish tacos plate and beer-battered fish burrito. It was so crowded! Most of the tables were occupied and there was also a big group sitting at the patio. I overheard that some customers actually headed there straight from church. After placing my orders, I realized that they were short-handed. Two cashiers functioned as waiters as well, and thus, sometimes they had to go back and forth between cashiering and waitressing, including cleaning the tables when customers had left. This is not my first time visiting this Rubio’s, but this is the first time where I waited for more than 10 mins to get my orders done. I sometimes came here on Tuesday evening for their taco Tuesday($ 1.50 fish taco), and the manager was always present, which helped a lot in managing orders & flow of their operation. Overall, I still love Rubio’s fish taco and will come back. Hopefully next time is better.

Slowest service around. It’s almost as if we ordered our food, then they sent someone to the ocean to catch it, brought it back and cooked it. I think a new iPhone has come out in the time we’ve waited for our order.

Favorite part of this place beside fish tacos is the beverage selection. Fresh classic lemonade, strawberry citrus lemonade, and both unsweetened black and mango iced teas are all part of the standard fountain drinks.

I went here and asked if I could get a burrito especial ordered in the«old style» which the Rubios I had been to in the past would gladly do. The guy taking my order didn’t know what I was talking about and had no interest in this at all.(No one else was in line, there was no rush.) I asked instead for a Baja chicken burrito with no Fresca. I gave my name, which he got wrong.(Tom turned into Bob) Of course my burrito came with Fresca on it, even though the receipt said no Fresca on it. Apparently no one there can be bothered to pay attention. Ughhhh. Will not return.

Can’t go wrong with their fish tacos here! The entrée comes with 2 fish tacos, chips and beans. I love how it’s an open salsa bar so I’m free to grab whatever I want and as much as I need without bugging the employees. Service here is always nice and friendly. Our food always come out fast. And tables are always kept clean.

I love coming here. I usually come here after a long and exhausting hike. The place is clean and the staff always greets me with a smile. The food is fresh and never fails to hit the spot. I always get two fried fish tacos and a cold corona extra and I always dine outside. Parking can be sparse since it shares a small parking lot with a hand full of other businesses. Always a good choice in my book.

Rubio’s in general is one of the best corporate Mexican restaurants for me. Mostly consistent with food but the service will vary depending on location. The manager, Alex, rang up my order. She was professional in helping me out with a mix up on my order and what made me write this review was that she actually took the time to walk through the contents of my bag at ensure accuracy before sending me out. I work in a similar«fast casual» setting to Rubio’s and it is standard for us to walk guests through their to-go’s but I have never had this happen at any other restaurant. THANKYOU for resting my worries that the order might come out wrong and making sure everything was on point! I’ll surely be visiting this location more frequently.

Ive been coming into rubios the past few sundays for a late dinner. The employees are always very nice and welcoming. As soon as I enter the restaurant I am always greeted by everyone, even the cooks as well. The manager was this young lady who took my order and was very kind and hospitable. She had a great attitude and truly showed what good customer service is. She always checked up on everyone and reassured we all were satisfied with our meals. She does a great job every night I have gone. She should be rewarded for an out standing job! I am really liking the new manager and I look forward to coming again.

The customer service has been great. As I sit here all the employees are really making effort to keep everyone happy. Orders seem to be moving along quickly too. Food was quick, got my drink sat for a min and out came my bean burrito. Good seating options. Clean and well kept. I work very close so I walked they’re aren’t too many options for fresh filling good food near by(haven’t tried Thai fresh yet) I’ll be back.

Usually I really dig Rubio’s. But today when I went in, I was more than unsatisfied. After waiting about 15 minutes for our order(which was a good amount of food so I’m not really peeved about the time it took) everything was cool and we left. When I got home and took my first bite of my chicken especial I noticed the rice wasn’t cooked. And really who is okay eating a burrito full of half cooked rice? I didn’t even finish my food because it was just too weird tasting. My sister’s burrito had the same problem. Idk guys, step your rice cooking game up. Because that genuinely killed Rubio’s for me and I don’t think I’ll be returning to this location, which is a bummer.

Went for lunch today and was greeted by friendly cashier. I ordered my mahi mahi burrito and waited. As I waited for my food a young couple entered and the same cashier was at the condiments bar filling up the utensils. The cashier made sure to greet them in a friendly manner. The couple ignored her and didn’t say a word. I thought to myself how rude they were. I know they heard her because I was the same distance away. The cashier walked up to them and still friendly took their order. Anyway, just thought those two Aholes were rude. My burrito was very good by the way.

Rubio’s is surprisingly delicious… When I was in high school, I’d never want to come here, not too sure why. Recently, I’ve been eating Rubio’s more, and I’ve come to like it. The only downside is how expensive it is. First of all, I got the salsa verde grilled shrimp tacos and my boyfriend got the original fish taco plate. Both of these plates come with two tacos, chips, and beans. Then, we added a drink because these plates aren’t combos, and it totaled to about $ 19. That’s pretty expensive, in my opinion. $ 7 for that fish taco plate, and it can’t even come with a drink? Ouch. We were considering the coastal trio plate, which sounded really good because it came with 2 different kinds of shrimp tacos as well as a fish taco, but it doesn’t come with chips and beans. That’s the only item on the menu that doesn’t come with chips and beans, as told by the cashier. So, it’s expensive. But you know what? This place is good. The service(at this location, specifically) is great! Our cashier, at least, he was kind and cool. I was starving and kind of sad when I see my plate… Though there’s a good amount of avocado, there is not much shrimp. $ 8.29 for this plate and I get just 3 shrimps in each taco? Ouch, again. The food is de-lish, but I wish they’d give me a little more shrimp. Other than that, the salsa bar is awesome! I think another thing that is a little disappointing is how their Tuesday fish taco special is after a certain time only(2:00pm), rather than all day. Also, they’re not $ 1, but $ 1.50. It’s too bad because I love their fish tacos. They’re breaded to crispy perfection on the outside, and white and flakey on the inside.

This Rubio’s is a stable staple in this mall location Many businesses have opened and shuttered around it since before I can remember, but not this branch of the famed San Diego(fish) taco chain. I won’t lie, though lots of people would rather find a local taco shop to get a fish taco, I love the ones they make here. The other meats are good, too, but you can get taco plates elsewhere for cheaper. They serve a variety of beer brands and local crafts, which is nice if you elect to wash down your food with a cold bottle. I wouldn’t really say that Rubio’s is fast food, because the dishes actually take some time to cook and prepare. I don’t mind waiting(it’s never too long) even though it’s usually busy. The space is clean, the staff are always friendly, and the salsa bar is always stocked. Both the indoor and outdoor décor and theme somehow transports me temporarily to a place closer to the shores while I wait or dine, as cheesy as that sounds.

I had an unusual experience here, especially for a Rubios, at least m perception of Rubios. Got a salad and a fish taco. Both were very good and the salsas were all fresh and tasty. What was different was the customer service. Really genuinely friendly staff here, who also walk around the restaurant and ask if everything is OK and can they get you anything. Nice touch, Rubios. Nice touch.

I was surprised how the quality has come up over the years — but way over priced for fast food.

I had a pair of good Health Mex grilled Mahi Mahi fish tacos with a side of whole black beans and a side of corn tortilla chips for $ 7.99( ). I was told the these tacos are no longer on the menu, so you have to ask for them. Since they were Health Mex, they were put on corn tortillas, and they substitute the creamy sauce with a spicy tomato chipotle sauce, and the fish was grilled of course. The tacos were very good, the fish was flavorful, tender, but firm, and the sauce mild and tasty.( ). I liked the fact they put plenty of fresh cabbage.( ) The black beans were simple but good. It would of been nice if they would of sprinkled some cotija cheese on them to liven them up.( ) I tried three of their salsa with my chips and fish tacos and the green tomatillo was my favorite.( ) Mighty tasty for sure. The girl«Jadira» provided great customer service. The was not only friendly and had a good attitude, but she was well informed and helpful.
