Super disappointed with the service, lots of bubbles on my nails, the long straight hair lady with an attitude after I told her she was hurting me. Lots of patience to paint my daughter’s nail but not enough reason to go back

Very clean place, people here are friendly. I usually get my pedicure and gel here. They always do a great job! Highly recommend.

My mom and I have been coming here ever since they opened! We came to the nail salon this past weekend and it seemed that the salon had new staff members. About a month ago, my mom and I went to get our nails done and it was very loud and all the coworkers were conversing and talking very loud. However, this time, the nail salon was very quiet and I actually got to relax. Sure there was some conversations, but nothing compared to other times.
As for the treatment, it was spot on. If you are in no rush of time, Cindy is the best! She does a really nice job and she is very cautious with customers.

They do not know what they’re doing. went in for a pedicure and it was a total nightmare. The lady had no idea what to do. She did not speak any English at all. Kept cutting my skin & cutting too deep. Then to top it off she put at least 4 coats of nail
Polish and wrinkled the minute I left. Don’t waste your money !

Went in for a pedicure. The service was good. The nail shop was clean. The selection of polished was slim. Wished they had more colors to choose from. Overall it was I good experience.

BEWARE, The person doing hair does NOT know what they are doing. When asked get for a «Highlight» I was given a bleach color job. My hair looks horrible and when I questions the staff I was told that I should have asked for a color and not a highlight? What? Management refused to make it right. My last Nail Gel manicure, the tops of my nails were filed off tans are so sensitive, I cannot get another manicure until nails grow out. STAY AWAY. These places are a dime a dozen in the county and I will go elsewhere from now on. Really poor customer service and poor work

I have been looking for a spot that I can go to on a regular basis and I finally found it. I would give 5 stars but due to the wait time I couldn’t. They are very busy and very popular but they should have more tech’s to meet the demand of the customers. Other than that though they are great and the polish stays on FOREVER. I had to take mine off because it was already going on 1month and it still was not cracked or damaged. Great place.

I have been coming to this salon for over a year now and have always received great service. All the staff, especially the owner, is very attentive, happy and genuinely care about their customers. They treat us like family, which is why I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

This place has such «hot» and «cold» reviews, and I guess my four stars would place it somewhat in the middle. I go here for convenience of location since it’s in my neighborhood. Prices seem fair. I did see a review about having no kids in the salon, but I always bring my crazy four-​year-​old and eight-​year-​old in there, and they never seem to mind. Wondering if it depends who is working in there or how busy they are? I’ve had waxing done while my four-​year-​old was out on the floor running around and chatting with the technicians.
I’m mainly posting here today, because I just had my daughter’s and my nails done and overpaid at the front desk. I didn’t get a receipt. As I left, I thought it was a bit high, but just shrugged it off. I was trying to compute the charges as my daughter and I gingerly walked to the car so as to not mess up our nails when one of the technicians quickly approached me from behind with cash saying they are very sorry, but I had overpaid. Now, they could’ve just kept my money and assumed I would never find out, but the honesty in following me out to my car — which was parked way back into the bank parking lot — showed me they care about maintaining a solid reputation and developing trust in their clients. That says a lot to me about the integrity of a business.
My technician was not the best at polishing, but she did do my brows, and they turned out beautifully. As stated below in another post, a great mani/​pedi depends on your technician. I’ve had «the bomb» manis and pedis done here and other times, not so fabulous.
My daughter is really nervous about getting her nails done. She doesn’t want to get «cut» by any tools. They have always been SUPER cautious with her and go above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and welcome.
For the most part, Chula Vista has some really good nail places. This one is no exception. Prices are fair, work is good, technicians are nice, and salon is clean.

I have been going here for over a year now. I have mixed feelings regarding some issues but they have nothing to do with how I feel after I have left the salon. I have been getting acrylic fills and pedicures whenever I go. The service has always been good. My complaint is that I wish it would be a little quicker than it is. The girls talk to each other too much. They need to tend to the clients more than to each other. It is one of the most frustrating experiences when it comes to going to a salon… any salon really. I wish that nail techs would understand that it is not ok to be talking to each other. That most clients would prefer there to be not much talking at all so that we can enjoy the massages, and the atmosphere of just being able to relax. Most of us getting our pedicures and maniures are there to get some me time. We need the me time more than anything on earth. Please give us that… suggestions: 1. Very Warm water in the pedicure tubs with a liner so that you are not cleaning it as our feet are drying because none of us want you to be cleaning the tub while we are still there. 2. Stop talking, stop talking to each other and just stop talking in general. Let us relax. 3. Stop eating in plain sight of the customers, it is very unprofessional and needs to stop.
My nails and fee always look beautiful when I leave, so I have to say that what I come in there for has been taken care of. I just wish that with what I have written they will take notice and start to make some changes in the salon, as it has been bothering me and might be the reason I go elsewhere or find someone to come to me.
I really need my Me time and since I am paying for it, I want it done the way I want it done.

I’ve been coming here for a while now and figure it’s time for a review!
While getting my manipedi on here yields about an average experience, this is my go-​to place for my eyebrows. Service is usually prompt, and I’m in and out in about 10 minutes. I don’t have a regular lady I see, but I’ve never had a complaint! I tend to come here on a weekday afternoon and it’s like I have the place to myself. If there’s one complaint I have, it’s that I still can’t figure it’s their pricing rubric. My services fluctuate a few bucks up or down each time, but it’s nothing much to harp on… at least for me.
Going back to the manipedi, I don’t have complaints other than I wish they could scrub a bit harder on the callus remover part. (But the bottom of my feet are pretty ridiculous, so I might be in the minority here.) Paint apps are pretty even and I’ve even had them follow me into the waxing room to touch up something they were unhappy with. Flower design ranges from person to person… I’ve gotten gorgeous designs… and plain, boring daisies.
Overall, I totally recommend them, and I’ve brought various friends and family here to support that claim.
Update: They have a regular eyebrow lady now! I didn’t catch her name, but I do like her quite a bit :)

The prices are hidden. $ 45 for a gel pedicure. First they show you $ 27 pedicure pricing then at the register the price changes. Their in a super rush.

If I had option of no stars I would but anyways. I went last Saturday and surprise that there was only one other customer since nail salons are usually packed. MY MISTAKE NOT READING THE Unilocal REVIEWS BEFORE SPENDING $ 40 AND BEING SHORT ON TIME.
I went for the first time to get the basic because I had an evening gathering and didn’t have the time for deluxe package, which I usually get at other salons. Never in my life I would think that something so simple as a mani and pedi by «professional» would end looking worst than when a kid paints your nails for fun.
They were very pushy to selling me the gel mani/​pedi but since I l picked a non summer color I didn’t want it to last for the entire two weeks and I was just pairing it with my outfit for that evening. I guess they knew that the polish they used is of poor quality that if you dont pay for more it will look bad. They did everything so quick that even my husband was happy that he didn’t have to wait for a long time in the car… but oh boy after he saw my nails he was upset (and I mean for a guy to be upset on a girls nails that should tell you how bad it was)
When they finished painting I thought they put some type of different coat… «something new probably» I thought since you couldn’t even tell. I was just left at al the pedi chair and I was told to wait 5 min for my nails to dry. I started blowing my nails with my hands thinking that the coating they just put was a fast drying product. After they saw me blowing my nails (4 min after) they offered a fan which I decline because since they said 5 min. I was there some extra 5 min. I finally paid, tip the girl thinking ok now go get ready.
Once I got to the car I was ready to show my husband my nails and oh disaster… my nails had been messed up. At first i thought that it was because i didnt waited more time for my nails to get dry but 10 min of drying? I went back and the girl just put the regular nail polish and no coating. By now my mani looked like if I did it myself.
My husband had to open the car door because I didn’t want to mess up my nails once again. On our way home It was kind of windy and i thought that having my hands close to the window they would completely dry. We got home I waited 10 extra min. Then I started getting ready. After doing my hair I notice my hands looked so horrible that I was hiding my nails throughout the evening event that I had.
I mean if you guys can’t give a basic decent mani/​pedi with good quality products you guys shouldn’t be doing business at all. How long does a nail polish needs for it to become dry. A day… I will attach a picture and you guys could see for yourselves. my nails are the copper brownish color.

Got to use my gift certificate finally! First visit to a salon since my baby was born five months ago. I was definitely due for some *professionally* polished nails (I rarely bother doing them myself. Would have better luck having my baby do them for me). But that doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate and prefer a skilled technician. When I pay to have them done, I expect my nails to look pretty and the experience to be blissful and pain free (meaning no cuts or bleeding, which can happen).
I’ve been coming here off and on since they first opened years ago. They have always been pleasant and today was no exception. Gel nails and spa pedicure. I know my gel nails will last at least a couple weeks if they were done wellI and if I stay away from heavy lifting or use my nails as tools. So far, I’m pleased.
As for my four-​star rating: I read an article recently that discussed a relatively newer practice of lining the spas with plastic to prevent the spreading of bacteria between patrons. Yes, other places have been doing it for a while now, but that only amounts to a fraction of the time in the nearly two decades I’ve been getting pedicures, so it’s kind of a new practice in that timeline. I’ve been fine without the plastic lining all these years, however, the lining would take it up a notch. They do use new scrubs and files with every customer. So that is a plus.
They also do eyebrow waxing, but I’m going to try my luck with threading at a nearby location.

I regularly go to another nail salon in the area but went here today as I was treating a friend for her birthday and this salon is by her house.
The salon was very clean, moderately decorated, and we were warmly greeted so it seemed as if things were off to a good start.
From their menu of services, we both chose spa pedicures with an upgrade for the callus removal ($ 25 each). When I put my feet into the base/​reservoir of the pedicure chair, the water was cold. Part of what makes a pedicure enjoyable and relaxing is soaking your feet in warm water, so, I missed that. I was also surprised that nothing was added to the water (e.g. epsom salt, pedicure powder, etc); I just soaked in plain, cold water.
The pedicure was, for the most part, standard with the exception of the callus treatment. Those are never really pleasant, but it was so abrasive that I was concerned the attendant may have removed more than what she was supposed to. Nine hours later, the sole of my left foot still hurts.
To top it off, after everything was paid for, while my friend and I were discussing/​comparing our experiences, it turned out that she wasn’t given the callus treatment (again, this was something we requested and I paid for) — now that I think about it, maybe that actually worked out better for her, otherwise we both may have had sore feet. So, extra cautionary advice is to make sure you get what you pay for.

I had a gift certificate for this place… After reading all the negative reviews, I was a little worried… I’ve gone to several nail salons in the area, and in my opinion, this place was pretty typical. There were a few ladies getting their nails done, but it wasn’t busy at all… One review said that they turned her down bc she had her 2 kids with her… I brought my 3yo with me, and it wasn’t any problem.
Anyways, I got a pedicure with callus remover and gel mani. Pretty average work for the pedi… And I don’t really have any complaints about the gel mani… I don’t think it was any better or any worse than others I’ve gotten… A little more time on the massage and callus removal would’ve been appreciated though.
No problems with cleanliness. The place is clean.
In the end, I guess it just depends on the manicurist no matter where you go…

After looking over some reviews, it seems that this place may not be the nail salon you would want to go to if you want gel nails. I personally never get that, which is probably why I love coming here so much. I always just get the basic mani/​pedi, which I think is fairly priced. They always do a great job with my nails, and their service has been great every time I’ve gone! They have super comfy chairs which I think is a plus.
When I went yesterday, I told the lady who was doing my nails that my cuticles pealed back a little the day before, so that she would be careful. I was worried that when she got to my index finger that she would forget, but nope! She was extra careful and my nail turned out nice!
Overall, I enjoy coming here to get my usual mani/​pedi.

I have to make two separate reviews one for my nails… My pedicure was great but the lady who did my nails didn’t apply the shellac properly. It was too thin at the tips and they started to chip on day three so you have been warned

I’m going to keep this simple. The manager would NOT allow me to even get started with my nails because I had my TWO kids with me. «please, no children. they will touch stuff!» I have never been so insulted in my life! My children are well behaved and your polishes are NOT an endangered.
You’ve lost many friends of mine, as clients and I will hope you change your policy. FYI those kids that you kick out will one day be your salon clients. YOU’RE AWFUL as business owners.

Visited this nail salon for a simple gel manicure color change and left with two bleeding cuticles and dry hands.
For routine color change at my usual nail salon, they dip a cotton ball in acetone then place it on top of the gel manicure and wrap it with foil to remove the polish. I knew something was wrong when the nail tech placed a bowl of acetone in front of me and told me to dip my fingers and then covered my hands with a towel. The harsh smell of acetone was all over my hands and she literally had me soak my fingers for 15 minutes while she finished working on someone else.
The harsh treatment to my nails didn’t end there. After the polish was removed she started cutting my cuticule on my left hand and wasn’t paying attention. Next thing I know, my index finger was bleeding… then my middle finger… and then the pain in my fingers became unbearable. I flinched and told her I was bleeding so she paused for a second then got the nail file and started filing and what do you know — she forgot she made me bleed and started filing all over my bleeding cuticule.
I’ll be posting my photos shortly so everyone can see their poor work. If you’re reading this review and have time to go to another nail salon, I highly recommend going elsewhere.
