My five stars are for Gloria! She’s been my hairstylist for over 9 years and keeps my hair looking awesome! She has been so patient with me throughout the years taking me from brown to blonde to red back to brown and blonde and short and long, you get the picture. I like extreme changes but she is up for the challenge always!
She also takes care of my hair and makeup whenever i have a special date, party, etc. Gorgeous updo’s and makeup! She never disappoints and always listens to what i’m looking for.
Give her a call to schedule an appointment, 619−887−0738. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Walked in and got an awesome haircut by Hector. Attention to detail and awesome experience. Would def come back again here.

By far the worse experience I’ve had w/​a hair salon. To say that this place lacks professionalism and well established scheduling system is the least. I called on Saturday ¹⁰⁄₂₄ to schedule an appointment for the next day, Sunday ¹⁰⁄₂₅. When I called the pretentious person on the other line did not seem to be willing to help, I asked him a few questions and he seemed to be in a hurry and not willing to help.
I arrive on Sunday at 1:58 pm; 2 minutes prior to our appointment. I approached the door no one was there so I gave them a call and as expected no one answered. 15 minutes passed and no one had arrived, at this point I was becoming very upset. 2:30 pm comes and no call no show; poor, poor, poor customer service I was livid at this point since I needed their service for a especial event I had this evening. I ended up going to another place which I will not mention because advertising that other place is not the point of this review; the purpose I am writing this review is so people don’t even bother calling this place as they will be met w/​a rude and unprofessional person on the line and even worse they WILL set you up for failure by giving you an appointment that they will NOT show up to or even have the courtesy of giving you a call.

This placed saved my distressed hair. They knew how to deal with my frizzy curly craziness. I am definitely coming back.

I needed a last minute hair cut. They were very accommodating! I love my new do! Nice decore, everyone is super nice. Just bring quarters for the parking!

After a scheduling mixup they made it right.
I like the décor.
They are super friendly.

I was looking thru Unilocal and came to find this place and good thing i did. I went with tonette, i seen previous pictures of her work and i love it!!! I went from highlights with brown undertone to basically full blonde with highlights… I told her what i wanted and she gave me exactly what i asked for and nobody has ever gave me what i wanted, always safe with color blah blah and what’s best for my hair, if i know ima damage my hair im ok with it, i’m paying what i’m asking for so it doesn’t matter. I’m so glad i’ve meet tonette ! She’s really outgoing, making conversation with you, making you feel comfortable, making laughs with you it’s just awesome! I’ll forsure be going with her for now on !

This place is amazing! Staff is super friendly. I was greeted by the receptionist with a friendly smile. I came in for a long hair bob with bangs and GLORIA was awesome!!! She did exactly what I asked her to do. I love my hair!!! Will be coming here from now on and will be sending everyone I know over here!!!

I have fallen in love with this place. The customer service is outstanding. Several stylists made me feel very welcome and appreciated. The atmosphere is very cozy. My stylist Tonette did a phenomenal job on my color and style. She was very patient with my indecisions and was very professional. She made sure that my hair was cut evenly and precise. I have officially found myself my own personal stylist. I HIGHLY recommend this salon to anyone who wants to feel appreciated and not feel just like a name on a waiting list. BTW… the pricing in my personal opinion is awesome. I got my monies worth and I will definitely be going back to shear envy. Can’t wait to see you again Tonette.

I came in today for a appointment with Juliana and let me just say she is the greatest! She fixed my hair exactly how I wanted it and she left it feeling brand new. Before I went in my hair has high lights that were half of my hair and the bottom was dry deAd and one color it didn’t match the top of my hair at all. But thanks to Juliana IIt’s smooth soft and shiny now and before it was one big dry mess. I’m so happy with the results, she did such a great job. And the salon is really cute and super clean
Juliana is very nice and knows what she’s doing! I love my hair I couldn’t be anymore happier. Go to Juliana if you have very damaged hair and want to also change your hair color she will make your hair look amazing! You can trust her thank you so much Juliana for fixing my hair!

Came to see Juliana to get my hair bleached and I got a good result! I got a nice cool to Es blonde! Will go lighter Later and purple later lol. But, I’m satisfied with the way it came out. Will definitely ask if she uses olaplex. I wish I knew about that product before but it’s ok I’ll ask next time.

I made the mistake (or so I thought) of not having my hair cut before the Memorial Day holiday. I decided to check Unilocal for hair salons in Chula Vista with five stars. This place was at the top of the list. I called, found out that they were open, and took the short drive to their salon (which is right in the center of Chula Vista down the street from the 24 Hour Fitness).
When I walked in, I was quite surprised as to how nice it was inside. It really felt like I was walking into a spa. There was a piano in one corner (near a massage chair) and in another corner was a specialty coffee machine. The place also has very fancy chairs and other decorations and does not feel like your standard hair salon. If you want a massage, they do offer that service but make sure to call ahead and make an appointment!
I had no appointment and only had to wait a few short minutes for Tonette to come up to the front and take me back to his station. He did a pretty good job, however, it was around $ 20 for a haircut which is a tad pricey compared to the other barber shops and salons in the area. I might consider returning if they lower their prices, however, I wouldn’t hesitate to use them in a pinch or if I needed a haircut at the last minute.
Make sure to «check in» on Unilocal so you can get a «ten percent off of hair products» coupon!

Ok. Another update. This was my fix it haircut and I LOVE TONETTE look for her. I won’t trust my hair to anyone else. Sad to have lost my old stylist but so glad to have replaced her with tonette. Your customer service is on point and I’m already booked for a color.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this place.
I found them on Unilocal and o forgot to get my Unilocal discounts but hey that’s okay they were well worth what I paid.
I first walked in and was greeted with a warm welcome. Apparently I met the owner and she was nice and very sweet. She knew downtown cv very well and advised me to park in a better location. That shows she cares about her customers. I was then greeted by Daniel my styler, he walked over to me and shook my hand not just a call a next person on the name and get money in.
As I spoke to Daniel within 5 mins I knew that he knew what he was talking about. He listened and gave me advice to fit my needs. Throughout the whole session he got know me and how I feel about my hair. He even upsaled me — ha but who doesn’t love spending a little love on their hair.
I am more than thrilled with the service that I received. I will definitely be a regular here. Thank you so much for going the extra mile to show that we are just a dollar sign.

My hair was in need of some TLC, and Tonette did an amazing job! Had my hair cut and color (ombré/​balayage). Tonette knew exactly what I wanted and executed it flawlessly! Absolutely love it. Great customer service as well. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This time… i wanted to go lighter — something in between an ombré/​balayage but not tooo drastic.
My hair was like a rainbow — it had dark black, red, brown, black and white! ha
i showed her a pic of what i was aiming for — since my hair had so many colors in it – she just lightened up the dark black parts, cover the white hair and added blonde highlights, unfortunately since my hair is super dark the blonde didnt take it in so well — it just lightened up a little. It will eventually get lighter as i wash. its happened before.
I love my hair its perfect for this spring/​summer season! annnnd for Vegas!

I’ve had long hair since 2007 and just do trimming to remove dry ends. Until I decided to get a hair cut for a change. I called the boutique 3:00 PM and asked if they can accommodate me for haircut and color. They were able to set me up for 4:30 PM appointment. Came in 30 mins earlier than appointment time and Tonnette welcomed me right away. He made me feel comfortable right away, especially we speak the same language (tagalog). He helped me decide what kind of haircut that would fit on my round chubby cheeks face. He showed my what’s the best cut and I was very impressed. I asked if he can do keratin treatment too, he is very knowledgeable about it, and explained to me the treatment before I finally agreed to do it too. He’s very bubbly and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I’d definitely come back to this salon. Thanks for making me feel beautiful.
