This place is awesome! Customer service, communication and repair couldn’t be better! I saw a Mercedes that was on sale there that I loved. The buying process was hassle free and the entire transaction took all of 40 minutes! You’ve got a Mercedes which is the best, why settle for anything less than the best service?

When my CLK 320 broke down and had to be towed I had it towed to Southbay Autohaus which was close to my house. I had always taken my car to the dealer which I felt always charged an excessive amount of money. I was not disappointed, the guys at the shop took excellent care of me and were even willing to stay past closing time to help me out. I now have a new place to take my car for all maintenance and repairs.

I have known this shop for over 20 yrs and have nothing but praises for it.
This a very professional establishment. You get the Dealer service at fraction of the cost. I would highly recommend this place if you are a Mercedes fanatic like me.

Maximum stars! My SLK was fully serviced here for the first time and no doubt I will come back next time. They drove me to work and picked me up at the end of the day. They took time to explain me what they do, what products they use and they even gave me a short facility tour. Most technicians are former Mercedes employees. The only thing they don’t do is wheel alignment. However, they can bring your car to another place to have it done.

Without doubt, this is the best MB shop within San Diego. Their integrity, service quality and honesty is unmatched in San Diego. I have a 2004 Mercedes station wagon that I have always had serviced at Carlsbad Mercedes dealership service dept.
When the extended warranty expired and I found out that you have to pay an arm and a leg for everything that needs to be replaced or repaired by a Mercedes dealership service center. I, with out question, needed to find a place that I could trust to care of my car and still have a dime in my pocket!
I was told about South Bay Autohaus by a good friend of ours (Rathead). He stated that he would only trust Rick and his team to service a Mercedes Benz. So, happy to hear the news!
With crossed fingers, I made an appointment the next day. NOT waiting one week for an opening which was what I was use to at my Olé’ favorite place, Carlsbad Mercedes. (Already lov’in Southbay Autohaus for that alone!) I walked into their shop and asked Rick if he could give my car the long over due Oil Change that it needed. I also asked that he set up a work order to find out what else I might need to have serviced now or in the near future. This is where you hold your breath and really see what
happens. They made a work order with repair services listed in the level of necessary importance, Rick really took the time to explain each repair and let me know what I needed to have fixed right away and what repairs could just simply wait until it really was needed.
All of the work that was done was excellent! (My car feels like it’s brand NEW and I have fallen in love with my favorite car all over again)
It was like a breath of fresh air to know that I wasn’t being ripped off or sold more service than I really needed. THANK YOU!!!

I bought my car after seeing an advertisement on Craigslist for South Bay Auto Haus. They always have a few cars listed but it is easiest just to type in «South Bay Auto Haus» under «cars for sale» on Craislist. I can never find a website for them and am not sure they have one. The owner is Gary Flanagan and he immediately gives off a vibe of honesty and integrity. He is 100% sincere and genuine. Everything he told me about my used car was absolutely true (i.e. not to expect any maintenance issues, some cosmetic stuff will likely break, etc.). The best thing about South Bay Auto Haus is that they also are an authorized Mercedes repair shop and their hourly rates are cheaper than the Mercedes dealers. On the few occasions I have gone to get repairs they have always been cosmetic problems. I have had no problems with my car as far as engine or maintenance is concerned. I bought a 2001 S500 Mercedes and she runs like a dream. I bought it with over 120k miles and I have never had any maintenance issues (it has $ 150k today). I absolutely love my car and love South Bay Auto Haus for selling it to me for only $ 13k and not charging me an arm and a leg to keep it in perfect condition!
