I recently brought my Dobie puppy into the hospital for the dreaded ear cropping. I couldn’t be more pleased with the attention that Dr. Deo provided my puppy, and I will update this review once his ears have completely healed. I will say now that through the entire process that started two weeks before the actual cropping, the feeling of ease provided by Dr. Deo could not be found anywhere else in SoCal.
So far the aftercare provided by Nurse Janelle has been grade «A» across the board. You know you are in good hands when you see the staff treat your animal as if it were their own! She handled my puppy with extreme care, and his feeling of comfort was obvious as he didn’t whine and wiggle while she treated his healing ears.

I simply cannot state how pleased I am with this vet clinic, staff, facility, follow-​up care and doctors! I had to bring my teacup Pomeranian Cotton in for some surgery and was fearful about leaving him overnight without me!
I received follow up calls immediately after surgut from the nurse and the vet answered all my questions prior to the procedure and even took the time to call me a few days after Cotton was home to see how he was doing!
Cotton continues to recover nicely and we’ll be in to get his sutures out within the next week or so to personally thank this fine group for making him feel better!
Dr. Deo is a very talented vet and a caring man too! Thank you for calming this doggy mama’s worries!

This review is about 6 months over due! What drew us towards this location is the long list of services and extended hours compared to other veterinary hospitals.
We decided against the puppy package only because our dog had already had deworming medication but, their prices and deals are pretty great!
The one thing I don’t like is never having the same vet when we do come in. The first time we had Dr. Deo and loved him! Literally couldn’t say enough good things about him and we were under the assumption he’d see our oil every time. The second time we had a vet who had never seen or met our dog and we had to explain some stuff to her that she seemed super concerned about where Dr. Deo wasn’t (Long story short our pup had a lump of fat that was confused for a hernia and had surgery at 7weeks old before we adopted her and it looked suspicious). I’m grateful they were precautions and concerned but, it left us feeling more nervous about it. Bottom line is it would be cool to have a main vet instead of whoevers available but hey not my business
The ladies at the front desk are awesome! They are friendly, they are funny, and they are honest! Thank you CeCe for checking us in and out within 10 minutes!
Definitely recommend giving them a shot!

We have been taking our 4 cats to South Bay Veterinary Hospital for years now and I couldn’t be more happy going there. I always feel like I am getting the best care and treatment for my pets. Everyone always goes out of their way to help me with any situations that I might have. They treat you and your pets with the upmost respect.
Thank you to all the staff, especially to Dr. Deo who helped us with our difficult transition when we lost our baby Kit.

I have always found the staff very friendly. They love my babies Ashley and Spatz. Every time we put them in boarding when we go on trips I know they are being cared for by the best. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with them.

Can’t say enough positive things about this place. Big shout out to nurse Nicole and Dr. Abigal. We drove all the way to chula from carmel valley because my vet couldn’t take my cat in and he needed to be seen today. He is 13yo cat who suddenly started acting as though he was having petite mal seizures. Of course this happens on a Saturday and of course my vet is booked. In the meantime my cat continued to have seizures through the day. We drove down down here and was seen pretty quickly, maybe 10 minutes.
My cat started having a seizure then dr. Abigal came in quick to try to witness it which she was able to see the end of it. They ran labs, gave him fluids and completed the exam all for less than $ 130. They confirmed my suspicion that my kitty was having seizures and needed further work up which we could do on Monday which will save us a lot of money.
Each time they recommended a test they gave an estimate and were very honest about the pros and cons.
The way they handled our cat who was quite pissed off at having to be here plus pissed because he’s sick. He was hissing and striking out at everyone including me yet they were so gentle, caring and professional with him it was really comforting.
I would absolutely make the long trek across the county again to see these guys.

Great service, Yes i waited a little it’s expected any time you go to a doctors office. They did so good with my Chloe, they kept her over night for me after her spay, when I picked her up the next day she looked happy and as if nothing ever happened, price was fair too. Would definitely recommend them

I can’t say good enough things about this place.
I live on another side of town but this place is definitely worth the drive. All of the staff is super helpful, friendly, professional and without a doubt, care very much about all of the furry kids!

Love this place and their staff!

My partner and I took my chihuahua, Baxter, in here due to a swelling on his face. We were told he had an abcessed tooth and it would need to be removed. We were also told that he had an enlarged heart with a heart murmor. They suggested that we have the tooth removed but before doing anything they would do some bloodwork to make sure he could be put under anesthsia. They also wanted to do a chest exray which they showed us later to show us his enlarged heart. That same exray is posted here under the photo section from another persons experience from July 8^th 2015, our visit was Oct 22^nd-​23^rd 2015, so as it turns out the exray was not of our dog but someone elses. Their blood machine was not functioning and we reicieved a call late in the day saying thet needed to send his blood out and would have the results in the morning, they had already started a catherter and IV so keeping him was best. They said they would call us in the morning with the results BEFORE doing anything. When we hadnt heard from them I called but they couldn’t give me any info and said the doctor was in surgery and would call us back. That never happened, we recieved a call stating they had done the procedure, they had removed 6 teeth from my poor little dog and that we could pick him up later that afternoon. When we got there we paid his bill, $ 1162.92, and when they brought him to me my heart sank. He didnt look good at all and later that night passed away in my arms at 11:29 pm. I am heart broken over the loss of my belved Baxter. I feel this procedure was not necessary. I believe that simple antibiotics and pain meds would have been appropiate. We were on vacation and had to not only search for a place for cremation in the middle of the night but also drive 3 days home after this tragedy happening. I now wholeheartedly believe that this place took advantage of the love for our dog, did unnecessary procedures that untimately led to our dogs death.

Went in and got pretty fast. Staff just wonderful compared to vet on Main St. Will Unilocal more after more visits. Happy again!

I TOOK MY CAT IN FOR A BATH AND THEY RETURNED HIM TO ME DEAD IN A BOX.
That is the sad story i have to share today. They killed our cat and are covering for it.
My boyfriend took both our cats Sherman and Smokey in for a normal bath, the reason we wanted «professionals» to do this is because our cat Smokey struggles a lot so we said «hey, maybe they know how to handle animals» they called my boyfriend and said that he had passed away after the bath when they put him in the dry blower 15 later he just passed away. They tried saying he may have had a pre-​existing condition, when everyone who met Smokey knows that he was a perfectly healthy loving cat and there was nothing wrong with him when we brought him in. When we asked how it went, the «manager» said that smokey had not struggled at all and that he was cooperative (which we know is NOT TRUE because the only reason we brought him in is because he struggles). THEY CHANGED THE STORY TWICE. I asked her to tell me how many cats die in there after a shower, she said NONE, i asked her if anyone had given my boyfriend a warning «hey your cat might die after a shower, let us know if you still want to go through with it» and she said she doesnt know.
We asked for information and she was rude and refused to give us information, i know Smokey was a tough cookie when it came to water, they either handled him to hard or left him to long in the dryer due to NEGLIGENCE
I asked for information to their legal department and she kept telling me to go online. I told her the least they could do after killing my cat was give me information on paper, so she went out came back in with a small piece of note paper folded in half that just had what she was just verbably told me written on it. They put smokey in a cardboard box and gave him back to us.
MY BEST FRIEND is dead now. if i had never brought him here he would still be alive. I don’t know how many pet owners love their pets as much as i loved Smokey. He wasn’t an animal to me, he was my best friend.
They killed my baby and covered for it by saying he died for NO REASON after a BATH.
I will be taking legal action, there must be justice for my best friend. I dont care about money, i just want them to pay the price for taking away something beautiful and important to me. Now nothing can bring back my baby, and thats what hurts the most.
I will miss you my little angel, and there will be JUSTICE

Took my poor itchy, rashy border collie/​cattle dog mix here yesterday for flea treatment and shots. We recently adopted her, so I wasn’t sure exactly what shots she needed, whether to put her on heartworm meds, why her flea product (advantix) wasn’t working or even how often to cut her nails. Dr. Kelly was incredibly patient with my questions and explained everything clearly, while helping calm my nervous dog. I could tell she cared about my pet and also had the human skills to make me feel at ease.
Miguel, the vet tech, was adorable and the sweetest young guy. He loved my dog (who returned his affection in a million kisses) and treated her so well. (Even after she’s had her shots, my dog was happy and fairly calm.) He was also very clear, professional and helpful.
I especially appreciated that everyone at the clinic made it easy to know how much I was spending on the services and helped me choose what would help my dog and be financially manageable. A long list of vaccinations, infection treatment and meds, deworming, exam and 3-​month flea pill came to $ 196, which felt very reasonable for the quality and quantity of care. (Wish my own doctor bills were that low.) Will definitely bring my little cutie back here, though hopefully not for at least 6 months!

Furious… I have been taking my dog there since we got her about 2 years ago. Each time we have brought her home from grooming we have a minor flea problem. That after a few flea baths and washing of her blankets I am able to get rid of. We have an indoor dog, and only have slight flee issues after taking her in. I took our dog in mid August, told the staff we end up with flea issues after each visit. They said they would send us home with a flea pill. I paid 27.00 for their flea pill and I am still battling fleas. My poor dog is infeated, my house is infested, my 3 year old is covered in bites as well as the rest of my household. Washing our dog in a flea bath, vacuuming and washing our dogs blankets is not helping in the issue. Our flea issues is rediculous this time around. We have had minor issues with every visit, but I’ve had it this time. We will no longer be going back.

I have taken my dog, Snowy, here for many years (since 2004).
When I first welcomed Snowy to my home he became very ill 4 days later. We were told the possibilities of him surviving were VERY low. Thankfully Dr. Deo saved his life and now almost 11 years from that day I have a healthy «baby boy» at home. I have never once had a problem here. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and very understanding!
Snowy has had various surgeries here as well. He recently had a couple minor cysts removed. Dr. Deo suggested that he preform a dental cleaning while under the anesthetics in order for us to save time and money. 2 cysts on his back, one on his leg, one in his eye, and a fatty tumor on his chest.(Plus, dental) Yes, I’ll admit Snowy looked a bit beat up and I cried to see my poor baby all stitched up. BUT weeks later I had a healthy cyst free dog and he is perfectly fine.
I’m so happy to bring my Snowy here and have recently found that it is the most affordable and reliable in South Bay.

Once I walked into the office I was greeted warmly by the front desk! The assistant was so kind and acknowledge everyone who walked in. The office was full of patients and I could see this place was busy for a reason!
Once I met Dr. Deo I was so pleased with his concerns. He handled my pug with care and took time to educate me about my dogs season allergies. My pug has had allergies for a few years now and no doctor has ever sat me down and really taught me about pet allergies. He even gave me different options to avoid coming to the vet and spending so much money. He told me that I would be able to comfort my dog at home instead of always running to the vet first sight of an outbreak. I really appreciated all his advice.
This office has wonderful customer service and you can see the staff really loves what they do! Plus, you can tell they are not trying to sell you to make you spend more money! Most kind and genuine vet I’ve been to! I’m one happy customer!
