The Dandy Dog

My sister recommended them to me. I took my 4 month shih Tzu and she came out looking so cute. Friendly service. Would definitely take her back.

I take my 3 rescue dogs to Dandy Dog grooming regularly now. I was previously a petsmart grooming customer.
They are caring and gentle with my babies. Rescue dogs often have peculiar personalities and sometimes fears… and my dogs are no exception. My 20 pound dachshund/​beagle is super shy and fearful even 4 years after her adoption. My 85 pound pit baby is all energy and bouncing off the walls. And my 3^rd pup is a super mellow 14 pound dachshund/​Jack Russel mix. All 3 pups are happy to get out of the car when getting to the appointments and seem to look forward to their visits (a rarity at previous groomers. The 20 pound dog would cry and claw at me trying to escape at previous groomers).
My pups come back clean, happy, and seem like they had a good time.
The exterior of the building and facility itself isn’t fancy, but I’m paying them to care for my dogs and they do an excellent job of it. I also feel very happy supporting a local family run business as opposed to a large chain franchise. Same day appointments are easy to come by and drop-​ins are usually welcomed.

If I could i would give this place a negative 5! I had never heard of this place until a friend mentioned it to me I checked it out & saw it had good ratings. I made an appointment and took my dog in for a full service grooming. When I picked him up i noticed him a little off, but didnt mention anythung at the moment. Then the next day i noticed that his private area was really red so i took a look at it & they had snipped him horribly! I also noticed that inside his ear he had some drainage! I had to take him to the vet & they said that he was getting infection from them ripping his ear hair out! My poor baby has not been the same for 3 days nows his private area is still red & he ear still had drainage & redness. I hate this place. I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE YO ANYONE. If you really want the best for your pet take them somewhere else.

What can I say other than DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! !!!
I made an appointment a few days in advance to make sure our new adopted puppy, Scooby, would be able to get groomed this weekend. I spoke with the owner and she was so sweet when talking with me about my puppy. I made the appointment and we were set to take Scooby in at 10am, March 26.
When my boyfriend and I drove to the shop, we didn’t know what to expect. Yes, it’s a bit small and doesn’t have a lot of decoration, but the ladies that were grooming the puppies were very sweet and reassured us that Scooby would be in good hands. Since Scooby is a bigger pup she said it’d take about 1hr and 30mins. No biggy, we had a few errands to run. When we came back to pick up Scooby we had a very happy puppy on our hands! He was a rescue and smelled a little bit more outdoorsy than we’d like, but after his grooming he smelled wonderful, his fur was fluffy, his nails were nicely trimmed and he was a tail wagging smiling puppy!
I asked if they would have any availabilities for our other small puppy, Kato. She was so nice that we were able to bring in Kato an hour later. Kato is very skittish and doesn’t like getting groomed, especially by new people. The groomer was careful and very loving so that Kato wouldn’t be so afraid. I came back in an hour and Kato was a smiley fluffy ball cuteness!
I would highly recommend The Dandy Dog to anyone looking for a groomer. Very kind and wonderful people and to top things off the prices are awesome! We paid $ 25 for our Lab/​Shar Pei (Scooby) and $ 15 for our Chihuahua/​Terrier (Kato).

Brought my 6 month old yorkie in for a full groom. Shampoo, haircut, nails the whole thing. Since I was a new customer her grooming service was 50% off. The place is small and clean. Prices are reasonable and her cut was just as I requested. When I came to pick her up she had an adorable fluffy pink tie and cute bandana. I’ll definitely bring her back again.

This is the first pet groomers that I’ve ever been to. It was fantastic! When we let Mariana the groomer know that my poodle mix Lady was a bit feisty, she was so understanding! Once it was time to pick my dog up, she looked so cute!!! Not only that but she was so happy (and smelled great too) ! I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for great customer service and anyone who wants their pups to be treated with the care that they deserve.

We take our yorkie to Mariana, and always does an excellent job. She is really loving to all dogs. I really recommend this grooming shop

This is the 2^nd time bringing my pooch here and I love what they do. Its very cute and quaint inside and cage free which Im big on. Ive had a problem with another groomer off of Adams Ave caging my dog and using a fan against the cage to dry her. She hated that place and would come home depressed. But not with this place, she actually didn’t mind coming in for the second time, she actually cuddled next to the girl who was holding her (& whose the groomer) which I knew she had to love her. But she comes out of here smelling & looking great. Im glad Ive finally found a groomer who also doesn’t take all day. 90 minutes tops is what I wait.

I have to admit, I drive up and was hella judgmental from the outside. I walked in and it was a very simple shop with a family feeling.
I called in the morning to see if they could squeeze me in and was warmly welcomed to drop off my babes by 2 pm. I was interested in bathing only. Shampoo. Nails. Glands. Teeth. The basics. Nothing fancy. We’ve got a groomer back home.
90 minutes later and I couldn’t be happier. My children look amazing. Showroom ready. I am so impressed. Beyond impressed. Their hair was soft, conditioned, and smelled like baby powder. The most noticeable difference with this ship is that shih-​tzu had a smile on his face. He hates getting groomed and often times looks sad or hurt after our grooming visits. Not with this establishment. I’m so grateful for such a compassionate business.
I live in Los Angeles. I wish this place was in my neighborhood.
Anytime I’m in the area I will make it a point to make a stop here. Such an incredible experience.

I took both my dogs (my poodle Khloe and Maltepoo Messi) in yesterday for the 1^st time after a friend of mine had recommended them to me. Messi is a 4 months old and his fur was uneven and scraggly so he needed to get cleaned up. Khloe had quite a few mats and was worried that they would just shave her down and claim that they couldn’t get them out like most places do. When I picked them up I was happy to see them happy and playful and not stressed. They smelled amazing and she left Khloe looking like a cuddly teddy bear Definitely have our new groomer!

First time going to The Dandy Dog and had a wonderful experience. Very affordable and super friendly. My Nollie girl looks amazing!!!

I needed to find a reliable groomer for my Maltese and Yorkie. I brought my Maltese in last week and just picked up my Yorkie earlier this morning. I am extremely pleased with the work done on my babies. They look and smell amazing!!! Turn around time was no longer than 2hrs. We have definitely found our groomer, so thankful :)

I love this place already! I called early this morning and ask if they had any available appointments for today and they did! We got there as soon as we could and we were even a little late and they were totally understanding! Now that’s rare! It was my puppy scooters first time ever getting groomed and I could tell he was nervous and so was I! But I’d have to say after about an hour we got the call that he was ready. He was so happy! He smelled amazing! He didn’t even want to leave! I’m definitely coming back !

Did a great job on my scottie I am very pleased and will be coming back. She was fast and the bandana and feather she used were adorable! Very cute and clean place

Brought my shih tzu in, he was a mess. I couldn’t believe what a great job she had done. My dog was happy too, that’s important to me. I could tell it wasn’t a bad experience, which was the case for him more often than not at other places. I also like their 50% off coupon for first time visits.
