Toni is amazing! I have had my wedding dress altered here, 2 bridesmaids dresses, and a flower girl dress. All have turned out amazing. The work is fabulous and the turn around time is quick. I will remain a customer of Toni’s even if it is a long drive! :)

Friendly staff and nice facility. Mixed feeling about my actual alterations on my beaded bridesmaid dress. My alterations took 3 weeks and 3 try-​ons until properly fitted. Thread used to take my dress in didn’t even match the fabric and I’ve been trimming loose thread on the inside of the dress. Not a cleanly finished product. Also, I felt that the prices for the services were not reflective of the level of difficulty or the time spent on the alteration. $ 48 to hem a skirt versus $ 15 to hem a pair of pants? I will shop around next time I need something done.

I went to Alternations by Toni to get my wedding dress altered and they did an AMAZING job. They even did my mother’s dress for the wedding in a tight timeframe and it turned out perfectly.

Audrey did a fantastic job altering 2 pairs of pants. I liked her high professionalism and friendly demeanor. She was very busy and I was very time constrained to get my pants done. She accommodated me and found the time to get my needs met.

I have just had a horrible experience at this shop. And I must say that this was this first time I’ve ever done anything of this sort. It began a few weeks ago when I came in to have a mother-​of-​the-​groom dress altered. I was told that I would need to have my shoes before they would begin determining alterations. That didn’t make sense to me as the dress was cocktail length, but spent the next 2 weeks shoe-​shopping. I returned to the shop with shoes and the appropriate undergarments. When I came out of the changing station, I was asked what I wanted done to the dress. I thought that was odd as I was coming to these folks for their expertise in altering and fitting clothing: I thought she would be making suggestions about what was needed to make the dress fit me well. After collaborating, it was determined all that needed to be altered (the woman told me that it would be a complicated effort as the bodice would have to be separated from the collar to make adjustments, the skirt of the dress would have to be shorted from the waist, and the zipper would have to be taken out and then put back in). I was given a price of $ 187 and they wanted the money «up-​front.» This dress had already cost me, and I have never spent this amount of money on a dress before – let alone having it altered – but figured it would all be worth it. I was given a date of 16 days later, allowing just a couple of days in the event further alterations would be needed. Went in to pick up the dress today. The woman with whom I had the initial session was not there. The owner was there but disappeared before I came out of the dressing room. I stood around for a bit before anyone attended to me. The bodice of the dress was still way too loose. The neck/​collar piece had totally changed and wasn’t even laying the way it had originally; further, one side of it was wider that the other side and it was lower on the neck than it had been (these were not included in the adjustments that had been discussed). The back of the dress was loose. One side of the bodice was lower than the other. The young woman working with me pinned and marked, and then told me that she would let the woman altering the dress about the modifications Monday. I let her know that I would be leaving town Wednesday. She remained nonplussed. No sign of the owner. I noticed a feeling of dread as I approached my car, realizing I had little trust that this expensive dress would actually be altered to fit me as it should. I phoned the shop and after receiving an answering message, left word that I wanted the owner to return my call. When she did, I explained to her my anxiousness and worry about the dress and what had already gone wrong. She offered no apologies and did not express any concern. She stated that all would be fine and that the original alterer would make sure I was happy with the dress. I did not feel confident that anyone was committed to addressing my worries or needs, and decided to pick up the dress and take it elsewhere. While I understand that others hold this shop in highest regard, my experienced was completely different and I will not recommend this shop to anyone. In fact, I am still shaking. Also, I do not believe that all the complicated aspects of altering this dress were actually done; e.g., I believe that the lace overlay of the skirt of the dress remained the same and that the lining underneath was hemmed to «shorten“the length and I do not think the zipper was taken out and then put back in. I am hoping that the shop will refund my money.

I came to Alterations by Toni to make minor alterations to my wedding dress. I was extremely nervous, and for good reason… This is the most important article of clothing I will ever own! So everything had to be absolutely perfect, and Alterations by Toni did a great job.
I scheduled my 1^st appointment with Toni about 3 months before the wedding. The appointment was extremely fast (less than 30 minutes), and she just quickly pinned up my hem to the point I wanted it, and we talked about adding a few things like tacking my belt to the dress, etc. The only thing I didn’t like about the consultation was that she asked me what I wanted, and I kind of expected her to let me try on the dress, then she would just tell me what she should do to it. This is my first time getting alterations done, and I wanted the expert to tell me what to do. But, overall, Toni was very professional, fast, and I was in and out of the dress in no time. We agreed on a price, and I paid 25% down, to pick up the dress later and pay the remainder.
I came back 2 months later to pick up my dress (or so I thought), but when I tried on the dress again, the alterations weren’t done and there were still pins in it. I guess I was there for a second fitting, but I would have rather just picked it up and be done with it.
I came back again to pick up the dress. I was supposed to come on a Saturday, but something came up, so I called Toni to see if I could pick it up earlier. They agreed to have the dress done for me two days sooner than scheduled, which I really appreciated. Most other alterations salons would not be so flexible.
Overall, the dress looks beautiful, and the work they did was great. Alterations by Toni is extremely busy, so I would expect everything they do to take a while, so you should definitely schedule your appointment way ahead of time. The alterations were a little pricey, but I wanted to make sure I didn’t skimp on alterations… You may want to call for a quote if you’re on a budget. Overall, a good experience, and I would recommend them for any bride.

I had recently made the mistake of taking a bridesmaid dress to this place. I was 7 months pregnant when I purchased my dress, so I needed the dress to be taken in, hemmed, and also needed straps added.
When I dropped off the dress, the women were friendly and fitted me right away. We discussed adding two straps, but did not discuss the style or type. Since I have no idea about alterations, I didn’t even think to discuss that until after I saw my dress. I was quoted $ 154 and was told to pick up in two weeks.
When I picked up my dress two weeks later, I was mortified. The dress was so bulky on the places I needed it taken in, the hemline from the front to the back was crooked, and the straps looked awful. The straps didn’t even match the style of the dress and made me look extremely boxy. Not to mention the fact that the didn’t even look like they were in the right spot. There was even thread hanging out in several spots from where it was either cut and not seen back together or something else, I am not sure. There is also a draped piece in the front that was supposed to be raised since I needed it taken in and that was not done, so it just hung there and looked super sloppy.
I couldn’t even say anything, so I paid for the dress and left. As soon as I got to my car I IMMEDIATELY called my regular alterations place, they were on vacation when I needed the original appointment, and set up just a consultation to see if this was in my head or if it was really messed up.
Sure enough the next day I took it to my regular girl and it was not in my head that the dress was messed up. The dress was so extremely bulky and thick in the chest area where I needed it taken in that I couldn’t even get a safety pin through and was asked if they even fitted me for the dress because it was still so big. The extra fabric was simply folded into the dress and sewed into place, instead of cutting it and sewing it back together for a seamless look
So now I have to repay at a different place because they couldn’t do it right the first time, and I didn’t trust them to try and fix it.
I am currently on unpaid maternity leave and am so upset I paid $ 154 and will probably not get that back.
I will never recommend this place for any sort of alterations to anyone. I would love to see that money and put it towards the corrections I have to make to fix the dress in time for the wedding.

I am relatively new to the Cincinnati area and needed somewhere to alter my maid of honor dress for my sister’s wedding. I searched Unilocal and found this place to be near my home with decent reviews. I went in there, tried on my dress and was instantly made to feel like alterations for my dress would be out of this world expensive. After placing very large safety pins all over my dress, the woman told me I was all set and that she would put an estimate together while I got dressed. I was quoted $ 450 to alter my maid of honor dress! That was almost as much as the dress cost me. I told the woman that was crazy and that I could not justify paying that much. Her response was «I agree, can you find another dress?» I did not feel as if they really wanted to help me. I still didn’t walk out of this place without paying something. When I told the woman I wouldn’t pay that much for alterations, she said; «Then I need to remove all of the pins.» I didn’t want her to remove the pins from my beaded dress and cause unraveling of the beads so she said I would need to pay $ 25. This place is very overpriced for poor service.
My sister didn’t even pay that much to alter her sample size bridal gown down to her small frame. Thank God for making new friends in the area who referred me to a great alterations man who charged me $ 110 and did the work with a smile.

I had a great experience using Alterations by Toni to have my wedding dress fitted. They were very efficient and did a wonderful job! I would 100% recommend using them to any of my friends.

I brought this kickass dress to get hemmed for my trip to California, and (spoiler alert) they hemmed it! And now, the dress fits me like a glove. My dress was ready for pickup two days before originally planned. Perfect!
As an aside, this place is BUMPIN. Wedding dresses and gowns abound! So much train and tassel and tool. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because it took almost a month to receive my dress back. But considering how popular Alterations by Toni appears to be, I should have expected a longer-​than-​usual wait time.
I can’t wait to be belle of the ball in my new dress that fits!

I returned to Toni after my wedding for our post-​dated reception. I loved my wedding dress and being a practical person, I wanted to wear it again for our friends/​family to see who had missed the tiny wedding, but moderated so it would tie in with the more festive, relaxed reception theme.
Toni suggested shortening my dress to an A-​line cocktail dress. She was just as meticulous tailoring this alteration as she was with my wedding dress (2 fittings) and I had it back in 1 week. My dress looks perfect! It is transformed but it is still my wedding dress! And her price was more than reasonable.
I attached a pic from the reception with my altered wedding dress — excuse the hideous Uggs, unfortunately I couldn’t have my punishing wedding shoes altered to be more comfortable and I pooped out from wearing them after about 10 minutes.

Alterations by Toni altered my wedding dress for my January 4 wedding. I initially emailed Toni to see if she could alter my dress in a short amount of time because I had waited too long to order the dress and would have a short turn-​around between receiving it and the actual day of the event. Toni was very prompt in getting back to me and assured me that she would be able to accommodate my request.
Upon receiving my dress, I was able to make an appointment to take it in within a few days. It was nice to be able to make an appointment and not to have to wait to be served. Toni was very helpful and professional. She listened to my requests and I did not feel uncomfortable or judged in any way.
When my dress was complete, a few days later, I had another appointment to try it on. Toni was willing to open her shop early so that I could come in before work, which was very nice!
Everything was perfect and fit exactly the way that I wanted it to .
I was very happy with the experience, the price and the atmosphere. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job!

Toni and her team literally saved my wedding dress! Unfortunately, I used the ‘recommended seamstress’ from the shop where I purchased my gown… when I received my gown, it was a mess! The sweetheart neckline they added was off center and the hips puckered.
Immediately knowing I did not want that seamstress to fix my dress, I frantically called Toni. She was able to see me within the hour and had my dress fixed by the date I needed (my wedding was less than 2 weeks away).
Not only was Toni able to fix the dress, she altered it to fit me perfectly. I did not think the dress would have looked as amazing as it did… it was absolutely perfect.
I highly recommend her and her team… words will never be able to describe what an amazing job she did with this gown.

I would not consider my daughters experience with Toni and her team to be positive. My daughters bridal gown had already been ordered Hollow to Hem so no hemming was necessary but it did need to be taken in a little and little details such as bra cups were added. It took a total of 6 trips to Toni’s to finally get the dress right. Several of those trips were due to the fact of a miscommunication between Toni and her seamstress, the dress was actually taken in instead of being let out not once but twice. The dress was to be perfect, pressed and ready for pickup 2 days prior to wedding only to find out it had again been taken in and not let out (could not even get it close to zipping). We had to return to her shop 3 times on that day. My daughter was extremely upset and no apology, consoling, reassurance was given. Upon the last pick up she was hit with charges added that had NEVER been disclosed or discussed. After an extremely stressful and frustrating conversation, Toni reluctantly agreed to refund some of the charges.
Could not recommend due to lack of professionalism.

Toni is awesome! She was able to turn my very formal gown into a tea-​length dream dress and even made a bolero jacket out of the leftover fabric. Darling store with a friendly owner and staff with great pricing.

Toni and her team are a dream to work with! I brought my wedding dress to Toni for alterations in June for my late August wedding. She took great care with my alterations and was extremely accommodating of my schedule (I live in Denver). When I came back in August, her team helped me with my final fitting, made one tiny change to my bustle and we picked the dress up the day before my wedding. It fit SO perfectly! My dress looked better than I ever could have imagined and I felt awesome wearing it on my wedding day.
For any type of alteration you need, I highly recommend Toni!
