Timothy’s A Spa

I bought a 2 pack groupon for a facial with Jodi. As other reviews say nothing fancy to the salon, but that’s fine by me, service is what you are paying for. I had a really hard time scheduling (had to call/​text multiple times) and the owner had a fairly abrasive attitude.
Facial itself was lovely and Jodi is great!
I had a horrific reaction to the facial, major cystic acne breakout, etc. Have had several facials and never anything like this. I left a message to cancel my future appointment, despite the fact I once again called during «business hours», explained what happened etc. No one ever contacted me. They also did not ask what more normal skin routine was, etc before the facial. Guess they don’t care I had a bad experience. I still have a facial left I will give anyone brave enough to try!

Jodi is great and her facials are fantastic. However, the woman working the front desk is always very unpleasant and it’s very difficult to get a hold of her to schedule appointments.

Once you go here, you will never go anywhere else. I’m good at surfing the groupons looking for the magical facial treatment. I bought 3 of these, have since purchased an additional package there and am planning to buy 3 again for my daughter’s birthday. (she’s 42 and should be taking care of her face early). I lost a lot of weight last year but now people are walking up to me at work telling me how great I look… hhhmmmnnn Have only lost 10 pounds in the last year but rec’d more comments this year than when I lost 50 last year… Could it be the face???

My friend convinced me to buy a Groupon for Timothy’s to use on our day off work, and the last thing I was expecting was to fall in love with this place. It’s nestled in the middle of Madeira, and if you don’t look for it, you probably don’t even know it exists. After parking in the two-​car lot and venturing down a flight of stairs to the basement of a house, it was easy to feel a little off-​put by the simple décor (or lack thereof). My friend and I were quickly swept away to our rooms, and left looking better than ever.
I was fortunate enough to get assigned to Jodie, who assured me she could do wonders for my acne-​prone skin. I must’ve drove her crazy, because I asked questions the entire time (hey, what do you expect from a then-​facial virgin?). She was extremely knowledgable, friendly and knew exactly how to treat my face. She even gave me at-​home tips and treatments, which has helped clear up my skin even more.
Unlike other spas, Timothy’s does the whole shabang — microdermabrasion, dermplaning (scraping of the face with a surgical blade, which, is oddly soothing), chemical peel and microcurrent. My skin felt so amazing that I splurged for a package, and have already been back again. I’m definitely a believer in Timothy’s, and can honestly say I am addicted.

This is not a fancy spa with amazing décor. The place is pretty small but staff were very kind and professional. I bought a groupon to try out airbrush tan. It was a pleasant surprise! Color turns out to be amazing and the process was very simple. I don’t know why someone would pay for machine spray tan instead of airbrush tan. I would definitely come back again for sure!
Ohh, they also accepted my groupon even if it was expired a few days ago!

Hands down the best facial I’ve had anywhere in the world. Tim customizes to each client and pulls out every techique available for the best result. My face is addicted!

My new go to place for a facial. I had the facial rejuvenation facial with microdermabrasion. I felt comfortable the moment I met Timothy. His professional and friendly demeanor put me at ease. His knowledge of skin and willingness to share, is bar none. His sister Karen, runs the daily operations and takes appointments. Timothy and Karen are genuinely friendly and caring. I can’t say that for anywhere else in the city. Can’t wait to go back!

I purchased a facial from Timothy’s off of livingsocial on a whim hoping to find a great facial at a great price. While it was initially pretty hard to get in for the initial facial — scheduling an initial appointment can be a task — I was more than satisfied with the results. Not only did he give me a wonderful, professional facial, but provided me with a lot of great advice and product lines to help my skin care needs. Within two weeks all of my skin woes were no more! He also remembers all of the little details about me and my needs from session to session and always provides thorough explanations of his techniques and offers great suggestions for my home skincare. Timothy is fantastic, I highly recommend this spa!
Another note: after the initial scheduling, it becomes much easier to schedule your appointment. Either schedule in office for your next appointment or simply text in your appointment request. So easy.

my review was deleted on Unilocal,I continue to call no one has picked up the phone or replied to my msgs. Yes I purchased a group on coupon that I need to use been 2 weeks. I well need to involve legal authority as this place simply took my money with no service. I well not be happy to get a service from them after this… if he cannot handle high volume he should not have advertised, client waiting so far 2 weeks with no reply so far and oh yes they have time to remove bad reviews but not to honor ur coupon.

I am not sure who Tim is. There was a woman who was introduced as the owner. Try not to let her unfriendliness sway you away from this spa. I got an amazing facial with techniques not normally done at most spas when you go for typical facials. An older woman from the Ukraine gave the facial and was great. I don’t think I will go anywhere else again, as long as she still works there.

I just had an amazing facial at Timothy’s. I found Timothy to be very professional and knowledgable and he was very patient with my questions. I left with an understanding of what he had done and what I should do for follow up.

Tim is a true professional. He’s worked in major cities all over the U.S. and chose to came back to Cincinnati. The spa has been open for ten years and is tucked away in Madeira. His techniques are amazing and you will see results. The only place I go for facials.

AMAZING facial!!! Wonderful people and perfectly calming environment! Loved it! Can’t wait to go back!
