About the Owners, Chef David Cook and Liz Cook

Chef David Cook and his wife, Liz Cook, had a vision many years ago to provide the Greater Cincinnati area with excellent food in an upbeat, eclectic atmosphere. And, they’ve accomplished and maintained that vision. The hard work they’ve invested into their restaurant and catering business has earned them consistent 4 Star ratings.

Business Owner

Chef David Cook is the owner and operator of Daveed’s, Daveed’s Restaurant, Daveed’s Catering and the co-​creator of Fatty & Skinny Brand Sauces and Salsa.

Chef David’s motto is «seasonally inspired global cuisine» and his focus is on local, seasonal food creations. So local, in fact, that he grows a select variety of peppers for his Fatty & Skinny Brand Sauces and Salsa in his own back yard.

At an early age, his dream was to become a Chef, and rightly so. Chef David grew up in New Jersey near New York City and cut his teeth at some of the best restaurants in the Big Apple.

As a Midwest Culinary Institute graduate he was hired by the Maisonette Group after which he opened his own restaurant in Mt. Adams.

These days Chef David serves up small plate creations at Daveed’s and has his catering business to include the Backstage Event Center across from Aronoff Ctr. in Downtown Cincinnati and at their location in Mt. Adams. His love for fresh, local food makes him a beloved Chef.
