Specialties

The Lackman is a one of-a-kind bar experience located in the Gateway Quarter. It includes a full bar and eclectic wine selection. The diverse beer selection includes 14 beers on tap and over 30 bottled beers covering microbrews, imports and domestics. The knowledgeable bar can assist, suggest or educate customers on their selections. The jukebox includes a handpicked eclectic mix of indie/alternative music, local talent, as well as the classics.

History

Established in 2010.

The Lackman is on the first floor of the Lackman building, built by turn-of-the-century Cincinnati brewery Herman Lackman. The bar’s signage reflects the label Herman Lackman used on his beer bottles. The 900 square foot building has been carefully preserved of its historic beauty, retaining the original tile floor and exposed brick while incorporating modern charm and convenience.
