Everything is unique and fall in love worthy.
I think i fell in love over and over with 100 pieces.
When i get my own place this is where i am coming to get lots of things ! :)

I am absolutely obsessed with Joseph Williams Home. I don’t know how I have not written a review for this place yet.
First off let me start by saying the owners are so unbelievably friendly. There has not been a time when I have been in that they themselves have not been there. They carry everything from high end fabrics and furniture to little decorative vases. I especially love how every piece feel custom and unique.
One time I was in and saw these absolutely stunning faux dogwood trees. I would have probably paid around $ 100 each for them. The owner came back and said, «they are $ 10» Apparently they were an old display they were just using for decoration to make the store look nice. I said holy crap I will take them! Now my living room is graced with this gorgeous pop of yellow color and great texture. Everyone that comes over asked me where I got them and how much I paid for them, but shhhh! That’s our little secret ;)

My wife and I were looking for a mid-​priced leather sectional and found a terrific selection at Joseph Williams Home. We were wowed by the showroom — contemporary hip and funky, and reasonably priced. It mattered to us that Joseph Williams Home is a locally owned business, not a big box chain, and one of many businesses that are re-​energizing Over-​the-​Rhine. Fred and Jeff went out of their way to provide exceptional customer service. Even the movers they work with did a terrific job navigating the sectional pieces up to our 3^rd floor «great room». We love our new sectional and love the throw pillows that we picked up from the store as well. We are already eying some other accent pieces and artwork. I have never before written an online review and have certainly never solicited the owners of an establishment for information on how to do so… but that is precisely what I have done here. That should tell you something.

I have never actually bought anything from Joseph Williams Home, but damn if I haven’t window-​shopped like crazy. And each time, I just walk around going, «Oooh, I want that! And that! Yes, that too! Bag it up … wait, don’t, sorry, I got a little too excited.»
This is a beautiful store in the heart of Over-​the-​Rhine across the street from Lackman. It’s way, way bigger than it looks since it keeps going back. And in Joseph Williams Home, you’ll find everything — couches and seats and rugs and so on. Whatever you need for your home, you can find it here.
Well … not really, since there isn’t that much selection (it’s big but not that big.) What you will find, though, are unusual items that aren’t in the big department stores. Things that will make guests go, «Wow! Where did you get that! Amazing!:
Really what’s stopping me from purchasing is, of course, the price. Everything here is such quality, but you pay for that as well. I even somehow feel I’m loosing money just by window shopping. Yikes.
Still, it doesn’t stop me. I shop, I eyeball and someday, I’m sure, I will break down and buy.

Joseph Williams Home hits the spot in terms of affordable, modern furniture. Like another reviewer said, they don’t have everything in the store, but you can certainly get lots of ideas and go from there to order exactly what you like. They have a great variety of manufacturers to choose from. Fred and staff are extremely friendly and helpful in terms of meeting your needs. You can tell them ideas of what you are looking for and they will do the research and get back to you.
For an example, we wanted bar stools with a particular finish — they found the perfect ones. They gave us a discount because we ordered four of them. Then they even replaced one when we found a scratch after removing all the bubble wrap. We are very happy with our stools that we use everyday and we always get compliments on them from guests.
Now we are looking for a sofa and they’ve loaned us fabric swatches and showed us many styles. We’ve been in the store several times and taken a long time to decide, but they’ve never gotten frustrated. They just keep working with us to find the right one. Fred has even gone so far as to look at our floor plan and develop a furniture arrangement based on the space. That is what you get with a locally owned, small store and we love it!

I only wish that it was in our budget right now to buy new furniture, because the last time we were in Joseph Williams, I wanted to buy half the store. For the type of furniture you can find at Joseph Williams, the prices were mostly reasonable and I personally was in contemporary furniture bliss. The staff was friendly and for the most part let us browse around aimlessly. I tend to enjoy shopping without interruption and prefer to ask for help if I actually need it, so this was great. We did end up buying a really neat picture frame and a cool olive-​oil dispenser. Great place to find modern furniture, as well as some interesting gifts!

I like to think my condo is cool. But, it would be 3 notches less cool if it weren’t for Joseph Williams Home.
Everyone says if you want business to stay in your neighborhood, then you should spend money there. JWH makes that task super easy. I had a new bar area built in my condo, but what I was lacking were the perfect funky stools upon which to sit at this bar. I looked online, searched eBay, tried poking around at a couple chain stores in the area.
Then… I walked past the front window of Joseph Williams Home and there they were, a whole gang of gorgeous, funky chairs, perfect for my high counters, staring back out at my, inviting me in. The best part the was super affordable prices, allowing me to pick up 5 stools for the prices I’d seen other places for just one.
The selection here is quite diverse, with furniture, rugs, accessories, even purses! I’ve bought those 5 stools, a plush cushy chair for my bedroom, a bottle to dispense olive oil, and a purse that even my purse collecting friends have been jealous of!
While the space isn’t as expansive as one of those suburban furniture stores, they can order just about anything, so don’t need to carry every item in every configuration and every color. Fred and the rest of the staff are super helpful to zero in on exactly what you’re looking for that will complement your space.
OH! And if you’re looking for local Cincinnati art or accessories, this is the place to find them! I’m still drooling over some of the Marc Wavra items hanging on the walls and will make that purchase one of these days. :)
If you’re local, you can pick up your items right at the store and avoid delivery fees! They even let me borrow a dolly to wheel a chair home around the block!

The Queen City Underground tour (which if you are a fan of OTR and/​or CIncinnati, do yourself a favor and take this tour or the haunted tour) ended at this store and I saw a sectional sofa that I flipped for! I’ve been on the hunt for *just* the right sofa for longer than I care to admit and walking in this store was like it was meant to be.
If you are hoping for a furniture store akin to Macy’s or Value City in terms of gobs of selection, you are not going to find it here, but they have a nice selection of furniture and accent pieces. Some stuff was pricey, to me, but then other items were completely reasonable. What I liked most is that I was not overwhelmed by options and you can easily move throughout the store looking at everything.
I found the staff (Jeffery and Fred) to be very helpful and showing me the fabric and leg options and then giving me time to think over my decision as well as being striaght forward in letting me know how much delivery would cost and how long it would take to order. I didn’t have a way to pay (I only had enough money to take my tour and pay for lunch) but it was easy to call back and order over the phone.
I do plan to update this review once I receive my sofa, but for now I’m pleased at how well I was taken care of and what they offered!

I went into Joseph Williams Home after hearing people fawn over their merchandise at a Gateway Quarter tour. I was disappointed. There isn’t a wasn’t a ton of selection, and while I was there, I was never greeted by an employee, while multiple employees were waiting on one customer. I left.
