A beautiful national historic landmark to enjoy the talented Cincinnati Pops Orchestra!

The acoustics are so good here. The seats are comfortable. I used to love to watch the ballet there. I actually saw the Who do a concert there. One of my all time favorite memories.
With Washington park fixed up the surrounding area is more relaxed.

Enjoyed watching the opening show of the Pelleas and Melisande series. The quality of sound was great from the 2^nd floor balcony, with a decent view. The music hall appeared to be in great shape especially for its age. Seats were comfortable and arrangement of the seating and balcony made for easy navigation.

This is the best venue. Gorgeous architecture and decorations. Check out he chandelier! And the Opera and CSO are fantastic. Love going to see anything in that place. I would recommend the balcony for a good view of the whole stage especially if you are short like me. In the orchestra there is always someone tall in front of me.

Music Hall, the home of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, is a stunning example of days gone by and a clear example of what a modern day, 90 player orchestra should be!
This venue was built for the May Festival Chorus in 1878 and is right on Washington Park in OTR. Before a concert or special event I highly recomend walking around the park and even grabbing a drink at one of the many bars and resturaunts around.
Once inside you will see the gorgeous interior and the magnitude of this impressive building. The biulding is about to go under a 125 Million $$ renovation to update it and bring it back to its original glory!!! I cannot wait, its going to be insain!
If you have not been to see the CSO, you need to. If you are under 35 sign up for their young professional program, for free, and you get $ 12 tick3ts week of. We have done this for a year now and have had some incredible seats this way. I also recomend to get a drink beforehand, pay for one for intermission, and the bartender will have your drink ready right away without a wait!
Get to Music Hall, whatever music you intend to see, and be part of the great history of Cincinnati!

This place is absolutely one of Cincinnati’s best historic buildings — aged to perfection. I love coming here for CSO, opera, Pops and other concert performances. The best view of the building I think is in the middle section I don’t think the balcony is great at all it’s way too high and I have a major fear of heights so it’s not for me however some seem to like it so it all depends on your taste. I think it’s definitely a must if you live in Cincinnati or just visiting to come check out a CSO performance or opera in the summer.
Just the tip the best parking is in Washington Park right across the street in their underground parking! So convenient!

This is one of my all time favorite places in the city. So beautiful, so full of rich history and character. I’m so glad they are saving it! To have the beautiful Washington Park right across the street and Memorial Hall right next door makes it all the more magical when you go here. Parking is right across the street and very safe, clean and well lit. I Love it!

Did you know that Cincinnati is one of the few US cities to have 5 permanent major performing arts groups: Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Opera, and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. Even more amazing: 3 of these groups regularly perform at the beautiful Music Hall.
I count Music Hall as being a ‘must see’ for visitors — even if you just take them to see the outside with the beautiful Washington Park backdrop it’s worth it! I’ve come to love this icon through my years of living in Cincinnati, and this year the husband and I loved the Pops season so much we became season ticket holders. Where else can you see a full orchestra perform with several bluegrass singers/​bands? Music Hall is truly a gem in the city — just one more reason I love this city!

Went to the music hall last night to see Natalie Cole and the Cincinnati Pops. I really enjoyed the headliner. The facility is a classic. The chocolate covered potato chips are addicting, I am glad a serving is only 4 chips. Bring cash for the concession stand. There was a long line for beverage service before the show, I didn’t care to wait. This was my first time attending a Cincinnati Pops performance. I would be interested in attending a Christmas performance as I thoroughly enjoyed the musicians they are very talented. I had a great night out. Lastly, I thought the booklet that was sent with my tickets about proper etiquette at the concert was cute. It provided great lunch time chatter at work and prevented me for singing and dancing in the aisle;)

Talk about a massive, and imposing building. A historic building with lots of old world charm. Lots of beautiful chandeliers, and finishes. The ballroom upstairs would be great for a wedding reception.
We went to Music Hall to attend a performance from of the Lollipops Family Concert Series. Lollipops are shortened concerts, intended for children, and preformed by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. Dancers preform during various parts of the concert. They are a great way to introduce children to the arts, without them bothering a more adult crowd. We attended Carnival of the Animals. Music was great. I was impressed by the orchestra’s skill level. The narrator was lively. His puns were clever. The Conductor was exuberant. Very fun to watch. The dancing entertained the young crowed. To an adult eye, dancers were clearly out of sync. I don’t remember where the teen group was from. Preshow activities were set up in the ballroom upstairs.

honestly, the exterior of this building is its highlight. i wasn’t very impressed with its interior. the acoustics were fine, but not exquisite.

This is a beautiful old building with an excellent symphony. I attended a recent ArtsWave Young Professionals event there and it was an all around great time. If you are age 30 or less, you can buy tickets to many of the performances here for less than $ 20! Afterwards the conductor and the featured artist were in the lobby for pictures and questions.
What I appreciated most about the concert I attended was that it began with a very well done video narrated by the conductor giving the background to the pieces that were being performed that night. It was a more succinct version of what was in the program notes and it certainly added to my appreciation of the performance which followed.
On event nights, parking down the street is less expensive than parking in the garage under Washington Park.

I’ve seen amazing rock concerts here, the world renowned Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Lumenocity, and even my sister’s Med School Graduation here. A year or two ago, as I was watching a band (Grizzly Bear) at Midpoint Music Fest in Washington Park, I looked over to a friend (a civil engineer), and he was transfixed, looking at Music Hall. I asked him what he was looking at, and he said, «I’m looking at a building that will never be built again». And it made me sad.

Wonderful place! Houses the Music Theater and the Opera House. Absolutely beautiful, both inside and outside. Variety of events to attend, some for free or really affordable. Good programme with Classical Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and more funky Pops. I especially enjoyed Pixar show with the music synchronized with animated scenes projected on big screen above the band. And absolutely fabulous LUMENOCITY!, a must-​see for all ages! I still need to try the ghost tour around the building at night, heard it was fun! Lucky us to have such a gem in Queen City!

Total must have for this awesome city. I’m so happy that there’s so much art in Downtown Cincinnati – there’s really nothing like live performances. I love Music Hall because of it’s convenient location (right across the park), with great restaurants like Kaze and Bakersfield OTR a couple of blocks away. The people who work at the ticket booth are super friendly and recommend the best available seats without trying to jip you off.
It looks gorgeous inside, and you definitely get that classy, antique feel. My boyfriend mentioned that Anderson High School & Turpin High School used to have their graduations here, but not since they renovated the place. Interesting.
Saw the opera here, which was charming, entertaining, and a night well spent.

First, let me say this building is absolutely stunning. It’s one of the focal points in Washington Park, and for good reason. The outside architecture screams OTR and fills me up with Cincinnati Pride.
Once inside you can’t help but stare at the ceiling, and depending on how crowded it is, everyone walking around with their heads up can be quite comical. The ceilings are stunning and paired with beautiful chandeliers.
There are a lot of restrooms available which is a big plus with a venue that holds so many. Also, snacks and drinks available for purchase.
My only complaint is the seats were rather small and the a/​c must have been blasting during the performance because I was freezing.
I would return, for sure.

Music Hall has a special place in my heart. I have been attending concerts here since I was a young child. My parents started taking me here as a child when they would attend symphony concerts. I also came here many times as part of a field trip with my school, the School for Creative and Performing Arts. Currently, I regularly attend concerts with my wife. I come here for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and for the Cincinnati Opera. Most concerts I have attended are in the main auditorium, but sometimes I attend events in the ballroom. I saw the fantastic opera Ainadamar with dancing in the intimate setting of the ballroom with it taking place all around the audience.
The building is amazing giving every person that visits the feeling of experiencing something special. The large auditorium with excellent acoustics and a giant chandelier make for a royal setting. A wonderful experience is during intermission at a concert when standing on the balcony over the entrance hall. Listening to all the noise from the people talking is pretty neat. The view from the windows overlooking Washington Park is also nice. Even just standing out front on the big stone steps is pretty great.
There are bars located inside on the sides so that you can grab a quick drink during intermission at a show. There also usually tables selling chocolates to eat. During events in the ballroom there is a bar operating and you can enjoy drinks during the event. Sometimes they have dinners that are offered at some concerts in the ballroom.
Music Hall holds a lot of history in Cincinnati. There have been many different types of events here throughout history from car shows to political events to George Clinton concerts and of course symphony and opera. Enjoy your experience!

We’re so fortunate in Cincinnati that the city’s founders admired the arts to build an amazing work of art in 1878 right in the heart of Over The Rhine and home to the Cincinnati Symphony, Pops, Opera and Ballet.
Its known as one of the best concert theaters in the world and was named a national historic landmark in 1975.
Last summer the exterior was the gem of the Lumenocity letting the building shine and delight 35,000 people over two nights.
I recently attended the MusicNow 2014 festival and had seats on the orchestra floor, every seat is a good seat and sit back and listen to the world class entertainment we have here right in our backyard.

If you live in Cincinnati and haven’t been here yet then you are making a mistake. For many people I think Music Hall is one of those places that you always want to go to and never do because you tell yourself that you’ll go later. Well now, don’t wait any longer.
I have been here for Opera, the Symphony, ballet, and the Pops. Every time I go it is amazing and I am never disappointed. The architecture itself is beautiful and worth the visit. But for a city it’s size Cincinnati has an unusually talented group of musicians and performers.
You can park on the street or in the Washington street garage, grab dinner/​drinks in the multitude of new restaurants bars in OTR and then go to Music Hall. Don’t delay, because next thing you know you will be moving somewhere else and will never have gone to see this gem.

I hate to say it, but I was a Music Hall virgin until last year, and if you are too let me tell you what you have been missing all these years…
Music Hall is absolutely stunning. Not cliché stunning like a hotel, or a fancy restaurant but breath taking-​ly shocking (is that a word?) The architecture is big and bold, yet dainty and unique down to the very last detail. Every time I walk in I feel like Cinderella at a ball.
The seating is some of the best I’ve seen anywhere. There is not a bad seat in the house. I’ve sat in the middle, on the sides, on the balcony and have never been disappointed. The stage always has some unique twist for the show, it’s always small, but a nice touch.
No onto the music. My favorite show I have ever seen was one I knew nothing about, Superheros! The extent on my knowledge was small, but the life that Cincinnati Pops brings to the stage is incredible and inspiring. After the show I wanted to go home and watch every score from every major motion picture, and show they performed. And that has truly been how every performance at Cincinnati Music Hall has been. In one word: Inspiring.
Please let go of your Music Hall virginity like I did and at least walk in and see the history of the hall and all of it’s beauty. If you haven’t seen a performance here it is safe to say that you are not a true Cincinnatian. The performances I have seen here will be experiences that I will remember for the rest of my life. Go and see for yourself.
