Most Cincinnatian’s are Jim Borgman fans. Jim Borgman is a local cartoonist. This little frame and art store is one of the only places that you can find prints of his work. The Framery offers a framing service for anything you bring in, but also for any of the artwork that is for sale in the store. They have a lot of cartoons from Emerson as well as Borgman. You can buy large strips of the Zit’s cartoon, some of his posters, and some of his political cartoons from the newspapers. Browsing around the store I found some really neat things. There are several stacks of paintings and prints that feature local architectural designs and buildings. There were old newspaper and advertisements for the Suspension Bridge back when it was first built. They’ve got a great collection of historical local prints! These make great gifts too!

This little gallery on Edwards road in Hyde Park Square features the work of local cartoonists, namely Borgman and Emerson. I was able to purchase an adorable and reasonably priced($ 45) Emerson cartoon entitled, «You Had me at Woof,» last year. The print came beautifully framed; I would have paid the $ 45 for the frame alone! This is a fun little gallery to poke your head into while strolling around Hyde Park… plenty of funny cartoons are in stock for your viewing/purchasing pleasure. Friendly sales people will let you wander at your leisure! The store also has framing services; though I have yet to use them.
