Sucks to have moved about 30minutes away. All of the staff here is super friendly & the gym is only unusably busy around the time everybody is getting off work (5 – 7)

Been a member now for a few months. Great equipment, and lots of it. On top of that, great atmosphere. I was hesitant to join at first because I was worried it would be a «meathead» gym that would make me uncomfortable. Not at all. Everyone has been great, particularly Spencer, who answered all my questions and is always just a friendly and welcoming presence.

Came here to workout out with my friend at 5am on Wednesday morning! Kind of far from me, but made the effort to go. I’m not a member, but got a 3 day pass. Got there a few min before it opened and there was already ppl in their car waiting to get in. The place seem like it was opened maybe a year or so. All the equipment were new and clean. The guy at the front counter was very nice too! It’s definitely a good gym. Has everything you need and a lot of it. Bathroom is huge and clean. I like that a lot!

This is a great gym if you are looking for a simple nuts and bolts, cardio machine and weights workout. Having recently opened, everything is new, clean, and well-​maintained. They have a vast selection and number of machines and racks. No matter what muscle group you want to exercise, the odds of having to wait to use a bench /​dumbbell /​machine are slim. However, if you are looking for something more than a fitness gym, you will have to look elsewhere. There is no swimming pool, day care, sauna, Zumba classes, yoga, etc. They have spin classes but that is about it. As a result, the population tends to be more male than female. It’s not necessarily «bro», but you will notice that the typical member is likely to be male focusing on lifting weights.
The only drawback is that there is only one location in the Sacramento. It’s a great gym but I was unwilling to drive out to Citrus Heights if I wanted to work out.

Love this gym because everything is brand new. Great motivation place and I recommend it to all in the area.

I’ve been working out for more than 20 years and have not found a place such as this: it’s VERY clean. The equipment is new and abundant! It’s not overcrowded. And the people working out here are for the most part respectful of others in that they put the weights away when they are done using them. This place is great!

Great gym. Lots of power racks, benches, machines, cardio equipment. Basically anything you could want. No pool, and no sauna. Favorite gym I’ve ever been to. Only left because I moved.

By far the best gym in the area! Top notch equipment and very clean. I love training here. For $ 20 a month you can’t beat it. There’s no high school kid nonsense going on here like in other gyms around the area. I definitely recommend checking this gym out if you’re a serious lifter.

Trying to sign up to use the gym was a nightmare.

This gym has become my sanctuary. In the process of switching from Crunch to here and wow… the difference is amazing. It’s so clean, everyone is focused and I love the variety of equipment. The cardio has its own area towards the back which I love having it separate from the weights. Some TRX, a weight sled, etc. Soooo many squat racks and benches it’s to die for!

Great location if your into lifting and not shy around body builders. Tons of equipment. Impressed wt the amount if squat racks available. Very clean gym.

Way to bait and switch. Signed up for a 7-​day trial online, where this location was listed as a participating Gold’s location. Came in and they said that they do not honor the 7 day trial pass. How can you not honor something advertised on your corporate website? Waste of time and gas, took my business elsewhere. False advertisement.

Everything is brand new!!! Great gym. Depending if the boss is there or not and which employee is controling the music, great music (personal workout songs will almost always beat radio music).
Major pros for me about this place:
–Currently there hasn’t been much traffic in this place. it’s never crowded. I’ve gone to the gym in the morning, evening and at night. A lot of serious looking athletes here though, I mean these men and women are looking like they are in some sort of competition. Which brings me to my next point.
–The folks here all looks like some serious athletes and the equipment absolutely reflects such. Not only every thing is still new and shinny but they have stuff here you won’t find at other gyms!
+Colored Plates for the extreme power lifters, the most unique fitness jungle gyms I’ve seen yet with pull up monkey bars, a bunch of Trx cable systems and a bunch of other stuff I wouldn’t know what to call cause I haven’t seen.
+Heavy Bags!!! not just one or two but at least 10+ of em. And they’re not just Heavy Bags they are Muay Thai/​kick boxing bags. As someone who used to practice MMA/​boxing and really enjoyed it but never got serious about it and so decided a lessons and fees where a little not worth the cost, this gym is a great alternative (minus the coach, but hey youtube, personal exp and common sense is a decent teacher).
— I was and still am a big $ 9.99/month for gym membership guy but for what I’m getting I’ll pay the extra $ 10 (total of $ 19.99). Actually they have a cheaper membership price starting at $ 9.99 but the sign up fee was about $ 50 – 60 (for my $ 19.99 its only $ 9 to sign up) and I’m not planning on staying in this area for this long so all fees would’ve total to be approximately the same. there’s no contract. You can cancel at anytime. won’t know if there’s actually hassle with that until I get there.
I would recommend this gym BUT!!! I like a gym that isn’t so crowded, so… don’t come here.

I’m from out of town and I was looking for a gym to go to while visiting my family for the holidays. I had called a few days earlier to get the rates and found they were more than reasonable. When google-​ing the gym to get directions I saw that they were offering a free 7-​day VIP pass (how cool!). So I sign up on the website for my free pass– this was on the main website.
So I get to the gym and there are two people at the desk. The woman was helping someone so I walk up to the man at the desk. Suddenly his cell phone rings. He tells me to hold on while he takes the call. Alrighty. Then when he finishes he asks me how he can help me. I told him I’ve never been to this particular gym before, and I signed up for the free VIP pass. He was already being kind of a butthole. He said, «well if you read the fine print, you would have realized that the pass is for participating locations only, and we don’t honor that. We’ll give you a one-​day pass.» Hmm. Ok, no problem, I was planning on buying a membership anyway, no big deal. The guy was in a huge rush to get out of there. He hands all of my paperwork to the woman next to him and leaves. She was super nice and helpful. After she heard how much of a butthole this guy was being she gave me a 3-​day pass.
Overall, I like this gym– there is more than enough equipment. It wasn’t too busy. There was a guy cleaning all of the machines so I wouldn’t say it’s «dirty» at all. I will definitely be back. That guy from the front desk needs to work on his social skills and professionalism. I hope he isn’t the owner.

This is the best gym I’ve ever had a membership at and I’ve previously had 2 memberships at other golds — both were good but this is place is awesome and let me tell you why:
They have the best machines and needless to say everything is brand spanking new and super clean. The have so many kick ass weight machines and plenty of cardio machines so there’s never a wait.
The members here are hard core but nice and helpful. And it’s not a meat market so I can go get my sweat on without being hit on by guys which is so important to me. Most people that go here are super fit but it’s not intimidating at all.
The people that work here are friendly and helpful with good attitudes. I like the music they play too
The monthly price is really cheap for what you get. I highly recommend this gym!

There are a couple things to know about this gym if you are not a total bodybuilder.
1. Almost everyone that goes to this gym is ridiculously huge and fit. But! It’s not like other gyms where they are assholes flexing In the mirror. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and considerate to us out of shape noobs.
2. If you are a woman, be prepared for a huge sausagefest. 95% of the people that go to Golds are men. Not that that’s a bad thing.
3. The prices are amazing. For the cost of one membership at 24, my husband and I both get one here.
4. The facility is great if you are a germaphobe. Things are kept clean and sanitary, and everything is brand new. The bathrooms are probably the dopest I’ve seen at any gym ever.
5. The staff is awesome. Most gyms have some teeny bopper standing behind the desk, popping gum and flirting with anyone with a penis. These guys are professional, nice and helpful. I’ve watched them help people with their form, explain how to use certain machines, and even give encouragement to their patrons.
Overall, this is the best gym experience I’ve ever had. Because I’m a woman, and I’m chubby, gyms aren’t my favorite place to be but this one is. Only suggestion is extended hours at night for us night owls!

Came here while I was on vacation. I loved it. I’ll be back tomorrow and everyday until I leave. Great equipment and awesome staff. If you are a bodybuilder you can certainly get in the zone and get your pump on here.

Only have been going for a couple of weeks but I’m pretty impressed. Great equipment and lots of it. Not too packed (yet).

I joined this new golds in july because of all the new awesome equipment. Very nice stuff the owner had to drop tons of cash on that stuff and he did it write. Lots of hammer strength stuff which I luv. The old golds in rancho had hammer strength equipment and when it closed I felt like I couldn’t get a good back workout anywhere. Plus this new gold monthly fees are very reasonable, also lots of cardio equipment and classes available. Now for the four stars and not five. If I was the owner and just dropped hundreds of thousands of $$$‘s on a new gym and equipment that shit would be spotless all the time. Instead the employees all hang out in the front shouting the shit and the place is slowly getting dirtier and dirtier each week. I will say in a year the place will be trashed, what a shame :(second I compete in benchpress competitions and for such a nice gym with such amazing equipment the benchs are god awful total pos. Who ever bought them I dont think has benched a day in their life. Very shaky and no spoters platfom or face savers bush league stuff. Everything is awesome though great place to do back or cardio.
