Specialties

The Talbert Family Practice Clinic welcomes new patients! We have seven medical physicians at this location and five of whom are Doctors of Osteopathy (DO). DOs take a holistic approach to medicine, emphasizing an understanding of the body as an interdependent collection of parts. This approach is especially helpful in treating patients with acute and chronic conditions. All the practitioners provide general Family Medicine and Pediatric care. Dr. Barry Davis and Dr. Alisha Saultz specialize in Obstetric care in addition to their family practice.

Other services that the Talbert Clinic offers is the Anticoagulation Clinic. We also have an on-​site laboratory and radiology services to make your patient visit easy.

Ask about or Private Pay Option, SureCare, if you are carrying a high deductible insurance or if you are currently without insurance. Our reduced rates will make medical care affordable.

Our Milwaukie Family Practice clinic has Saturday hours from 8:00am — 3:00pm.

History

Established in 1995.

Northwest Primary Care has been a part of the greater SE Portland community since 1960, when a local physician founded Clackamas Internal Medicine. Our Talbert clinic began serving the community in 1995.

Northwest Primary Care has always been physician-​owned, with all of our owners currently practicing in our clinics. Three of our owners currently practice at this clinic location.

Don’t do it! My husband went here to see Dr Davis. He scheduled an appointment because he was having a hard time lifting his arm. He was brush off and said it was a pinched nerve and to go to physical therapy. If he didn’t see anything in his x ray he would send him for an MRI. When he left the office he didn’t have any more answers than when he went in but he had a $ 400 bill. He received a call later that day from an MRI facility and they indicted it would be 10 – 14 days before they could get him in. He called his provider back to see if they wanted him to wait that long since he could not lift his arm. He never received an answer and was told to go to physical therapy on Monday. I was not okay with this so I contacted my Chiropractor to see if he could see him. He got us in right away and within less than 5 minutes he said we needed to go to the ER that this was a surgical situation. We walked into the Er that afternoon and my husband was in surgery the next morning. I ask what was the point of seeing this primary provider?

Northwest Primary Care is about the best you can get in health care! Dr. Patricia Gallegos is simply the finest doctor I’ve ever had. Besides being knowledgeable, she is kind, caring and will take the time to really get to know her patients. I believe that is extremely important, so if a patient comes in with some not quite right, she’s able to pick up on that.
Her assistant Deira is so pleasant and kind. She always greets you with a smile, knows your name and asks how you’re doing.
I love the patient portal. This is such a valuable tool where you can get test results, send a quick message to your doctor, etc.
I am so lucky and happy that I chose Dr. Gallegos. If you live in Clackamas or Happy Valley, she should be your doctor.

My friend and I both got seen by Dr Davis. He’s a miracle worker. He found the health problem within minutes. Right on the money.
I will refer him to everyone.
It’s a little spendy being a cash patient & having to pay $ 130 just to get in, but it’s well worth it. Most of the other clinics charge more anyways.
Improvement needed: I felt rushed & they should take the time to escort patients instead of pointing where to go. Just a tip not a dealbreaker.

Most of the people I was greated by were generally nice, but the doctor I saw (Dr Saultz) made me feel like I was in an assembly line. She was in the room for a total of 2 mins then said she’d be back. Then sent the nurse in to answer the rest of my questions for which she had no answers. I’ll find a new clinic to go to.

Hmmm… the review by «Shannon L» must have been from a fluke event. My family has gone to this location for something like 10 years now and I know that at least I myself would be hesitant to change. I’ve always felt that the staff treated me with respect, I’m always pleasantly surprised when one of them remembers my name (since I don’t come in that often). And, while the remodel of the office was an inconvenience, the result was worth it… more relaxed and inviting.
As for Dr. Gallegos (Moses); I like him because he never seems rushed to get rid of me; always seems to listen, and has learned to trust my feedback and self-​assessment (instead of being dismissive).
And, for what it’s worth, none of the other patients I see every look like they’re pissed off or unsatisfied.

First. This cash pay thing was a huge scam. They show you the prices you will get charged from the lab but also tell you the prices change without their knowledge to protect their butts. My lab bills were over a thousand dollars when they said it would be 400. Thats nothing.
Dr. Guillegos raised my cynthroid meds because my thyroid was too low. After checking my blood again he found he had raised them too high. No big deal, just lower it half right? No. He lowers me back to where they were originally when it was too low. I called and ask if this was the best idea since we know it was too low in the first place. They wouldnt listen and they fired me!!! Northwest Primary will not deal with me at all. No getting my side of the story, no apology, no explanation, no review of their quack doctor. Nothing. Now I am out 1500 bucks and have to find a new doctor. These people discriminate. They make no money from us uninsureds and dont want us. If you have insurance? Trust me, you are getting unecessary testing and charges. Save your money and find an actual medical doc that cares and can swallow their pride when they are so obviously wrong.

I adore the Talbert office of NWPC! Jan always remembers me, Dr Saultz its amazing. I receive excellent care. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. The fact that I can take care of labeled and x-​rays in the office is incredibly convenient. All of the staff are amazing. If you are looking for a doctor, this is the place for you!

I currently have started going to the Talbert Center Family Practice. The initial reason was that it was close to where I live. I soon realized there is a much greater reason for why I go here, and that is because of Dr. Saultz. She is truly as good as it gets. I have had a blast when I go see her (and who has fun at the doctor… certainly not normally me!). Dr. Saultz is a rare find in a doctor and I truly hope that I am able to go to her for the rest of my life. I would only be so lucky if that actually happened. I hope many of you get to experience being a patient of hers, but fair warning, once you go to her you will never go anywhere else.
