We have used this cleaners for a while for our basic dry cleaning needs, and have been relatively happy with them. I just recently had alterations done here(they actually send out their alterations to another dry cleaners on Gresham, which I was not aware of). I had a dress shortened because it was far too long. My dress has a belt made of the same fabric, and when I showed up to pick up my dress the belt was nowhere to be found. Promise Cleaners looked for it, called the alterations place to see if they had it(which they said they did not), and then told me to look for it at my house. What?! When I dropped off the dress it still had the tags on it, very brand new(although when I picked it up the tags were gone). I dropped off my dress with the belt ATTACHED. Ken(the owner I’m assuming), also suggested that I go to Joann’s fabric to search for the same material so that they can make one. I leave for a wedding(which I am officiating) tomorrow, and there is absolutely no time for this, nor should I have to search around town for a big part of my dress that was lost by someone I trusted my alterations with. It turns out that the alterations place had my belt after all(and after I already had to order a replacement dress and pay $ 25 for non-refundable expedited shipping). I picked it up, and was beyond disappointed that after all of this stress and inconvenience, Promise Cleaners still charged me the $ 40 for alterations. They said that they«had to charge me because they contract their alterations out». After asking if $ 40 was worth losing customers in the future, Ken still demanded I pay. I suggested they find a new alterations place to use… Wouldn’t it have been easier, and the right thing to do, to cover my alterations cost for me? I paid the $ 40, but am now searching for a more reliable and trustworthy dry cleaners.

I just moved to the area, and most important on my list was finding a great drycleaner. I am lazy, ok? I hate ironing clothes, I work too many hours to iron and strch clothes so I am basically a Dry Cleaner’s dream customer. I found Promise cleaners and have really enjoyed their service. 1. The clothes are perfectly cleaned and pressed. When I ask for medium starch, I get get medium starch. 2.Service is great and fast. Very freindly. The lady behind the counter remembered my name after just one visit, and doesn’t complain when I forget to unbutton my shirts. 3.Price in is line with the other Dry cleaners out there, affodable and fair. 4.Fast. Drop off clothes on Friday, ready by Monday or Tuesday. Cons. Limited parking due to shopping center.
