Just took the family there. The food was unbelievable! Even the three year old who never eats ate! The Pasta Carbonara was superb. Excellent customer service, excellent food. We will definitely be back!

Always a great place to stop for dinner or just a drink. I enjoy the taco salad or the burgers are the best in the area. The soup bar with fresh bread is a nice add on.

Have heard rave reviews about the Clarence Grill’s wings. Moved to Clarence last fall, so on Halloween(and on the heels of another«best wings in Clarence»! recommendation) decided to order take out to give them a try. Ordered 20 medium wings and the chicken club sandwich, with fries. The wings were crispy, but not very flavorful. Maybe Hot is the way to go? The chicken club sandwich was almost inedible. The chicken was not seasoned, waaaaay too much mayonnaise and just not good. Even the bacon could not save this sandwich. Fries were ok. In the end we’re glad we tried the Clarence Grill, but will not be returning.

This place is full of 1980’s dusty old curtain and fake flowers. Can’t put my finger on the smell in here but it’s not appetizing. Service was I believe by the owner, as he was tending bar. He thought he was funny but came across as a jerk. Then I watched him give an old man a free«road pop» and the guy put a beer under his coat and walked out and got in his car. Hope this comes back to haunt him

Stopped in here plenty of times but finally remembered to write it up for others. Paul is the best! He remembers everyone’s names and favorite beverages! It’s like Cheers! Today we ordered hot wings and they were delicious! ! Plenty of carrots & celery and the blue cheese was yummy!

Awesome food. I ordered my entire Christmas dinner here Shari was wonderful to work with. All of the food, mashed potatoes, turkey, Stuffing and roast beef was outstanding home cooked food. Not typical restaurant food that you’re disappointed in. I highly recommend both the restaurant and catering

I’ve driven by here 100 times and have always said, «I’ve gotta scope out that place sometime». Well mom and I were on our way home from Batavia and were hungry for dinner. Stopped here at the Clarence Grill, finally! It was a buzz for a Tuesday night. I’m guessing the Friday fish fry and weekend crowd gets pretty big, especially at the bar. I’m looking forward to trying a fish fry here at some point. Anyway, I ordered the chicken au gratin and mom got the pot roast dinner. Each dinner came with a choice of salad or «soup bar», which is a little station with 2 soups and bread and butter. The soups last night were cream of vegetable or tomato florentine. I chose a salad with ranch. It took a long time for our dinners to come out, but the portions were huge and tasty. My mom loved her pot roast so much she are her entire plate. My chicken dish was so huge that I took 2 pieces of the chicken home(there were 3 total) and half of my baked potato. The au gratin style(mushrooms and melted cheese) was okay but greasy from the thick layer of cheese. I would have rather had a creamy cheese sauce than just thick melted cheddar over the top of the chicken but it was good anyway. And I was thrilled to have 2 leftover meals from it. The booths aren’t too comfy and the place in general is older but decent inside. Can’t wait to try the fish fry.

Great small town place in the heart of Clarence for a lunch or dinner. Seems to be more of an evening hang out but lunch was nice. Waiter(owner) was accommodating, friendly and suggestive and the food was all around great. My mom loves the vegetarian sandwich on rye bread(a meatless Reuben?) and I think comes here with her friends from the women’s club, which is how we ended up here. Glad we did!

My daughter and I stopped here on a whim during dinner hour on a Tuesday night and glad we did. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seats, hearty food. No doubt a lot of locals go here. Somebody at a table had a laptop and was talking about losing a connection.(A regular) No idea if they have wifi for the public or a regular just got a password for a connection, but if they did that would be awesome! You should ask. My daughter ordered the pot roast dinner($ 12?)(they also had pot roast sandwiches a few different ways) and I ordered the ½ rack ribs(around $ 15). The meat was tender and tasty on both meals, I LOVED the french fries, and the portions were generous. They have a small soup bar(two soups, bread, butter, topping) and you can have as much as you want.(I didn’t have any, my 11 year old did and said she liked the onion soup.) The pot roast was nice-sized portions of meat, small red new potatoes which looked delicious, and hearty large carrots my daughter thought was awesome cause they were so big. A nice presentation. I could easily take the meat off my ribs with a touch of my fork, no knife needed. BBQ was okay. A please the masses kind of sauce. But the french fries were cooked perfectly and so tasty! Got them with a side of gravy which was okay. I thought dinner included potato and vegetable, but seems like it’s potato or vegetable, have to check on that. But does include soup or salad I think. I did have a small salad instead of soup. It was a nice size, reminded me of our salads growing up. Iceberg lettuce, celery, tomatoes, and the standard purple cabbage/shredded carrots in bag mixes. I had asked for no onions and got no onions. No idea whether they normally come with onions :). Clarence Grill had a nice menu. You should have no problem finding something you like. There’s your standard bar foods, wings, skins, mozzarella sticks, french fries w/cheese or gravy(yay for FF& Gravy!!) etc. There are at least five salad entrees. There’s a page of dinners priced between $ 10 — $ 20. Steak, Seafood, Pork, Chicken, limited pasta. Personally, I don’t like seafood, but their seafood selections looked pretty good. And I thought it was nice there were a couple vegetarian mentions on the menu.(I have two vegetarian daughters, but they weren’t with us. They would have appreciated the vegetarian listings. The listings weren’t spectacular, but the consideration is appreciated. But between bar foods, vegetarian listings and pasta, a vegetarian could find something. And no doubt they’d do a specialty order.) On the menu was also a page of nice sandwiches under $ 10. Hot, cold, open-faced, breads, rolls — good assortment. They had a list of specials at the door which looked great(between $ 12 and $ 19), and desserts like pumpkin pie, pecan bourban torte, hot fudge cake, apple crisp, etc., REALLY wish I had room!!! But, I didn’t, cause the portions were great! The guy waiting on us knew what he was doing. Was on the floor by himself, had about six tables, and he was efficient, knew his menu, promptly refilled drinks and brought to go boxes before we asked. The booths and tables are dark wood, black leather, so it’s dark. From the front door, to your left is a small bar with tables and booths, and the right is the«main dining room» I guess with tables and booths. I felt they were roomy and comfy. There were a few TVs around in the bar area, sports on each one.(No jazz for me cause were were in the bar section I think… daughter’s choice :) It was not obnoxious, we easily had a conversation and could hear others(talking about the old local quarries for fishing and swimming). There was another family there, and other patrons were probably in the over 50 range. Our check for pot roast dinner, ¼ rack ribs and one ice tea was $ 30. About what I pay when we go to TGIF’s or other chains.(We usually get steak and no alcohol.) The sign on the door says they do catering. Based on the quality of the food, the portions and the service, I would recommend them for catering.(Even though I realize quite well it’s two different worlds, I think the owners know what they’re doing. My guess is they’re aiming to provide good food and good service at a fair price.) If you can’t decide what you feel like eating tonight or your family is arguing about where to go, give the Clarence Grill a try. You’ll find something for everyone and you won’t be disappointed.

CG has a nice bar and grill layout. The bar and some tables are on the left as you walk in and the main dining area is on the right. There is a nice mix of booths and tables. Soft jazz is played at a nice reasonable level. Lots of wings and other bar favorites. The fish fry is huge as well as the the baked potatoes. Lots of fish and chicken choices and even a couple of German dishes. Try the carrot cake or the apple pie which are both very good. Overall the prices are very reasonable.
