Established in 2011.

Lax Factory was created with the vision to improve the quality of lacrosse in the Frederick and Montgomery County region by providing professional instruction and emphasizing individual player development.

Meet the Business Owner

Josh F.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Montgomery County, Coach Josh Funk went on to star in lacrosse at Poolesville High School. After being named the County Player of the Year and playing in the National All-​Star game, Josh headed off to Ohio State to play for the Buckeyes. While at Ohio State, he was an All-​Conference selection in addition to being Co-​Captain and Co-​MVP of the 2008 Buckeye team that reached the Elite 8 of the NCAA tournament. After graduating from The Ohio State University, Coach Funk went on to play professional in the National Lacrosse League for the Minnesota Swarm as a defender and was named to the US Indoor Team as a Reserve. He now lives in Clarksburg, MD and is looking forward to helping develop the next generation of lacrosse players!
