My santa suit was hand made in China. For the last 5 years, I have tried to bring a little Christmas spirit to the children in the city I live in. It has been to orphanages, parties, fundraisers and donned as I pass out gifts and candy to children on the streets in china. It has gotten dirty, grimy, sweaty and eventually even conventionally washed, pushing all the red dye into my white cufflinks and accents! I thought it was ruined. But this year, I was able to bring it to the USA on a visit during the holiday, in hopes that I could get someone to help me bring my suit to life. Earl lived up to their ratings and reputation not only in service and friendliness, but professionalism and down right getting the job done. In one day they had ran my suit thru 3 times, took extra care to bring the white luster back to my santa suit, and showed amazing attention to detail all around. When I came to pick it up, they would not even let me take it without brushing and taking the extra work to make it look perfect. I really cannot thank them enough. And the price was amazing on top of it. My family, friends, and all their children thank you. I brought a lot of smiles to faces this holiday, and I think you had a lot to do with that. Thanks again!

Our daughter had a wrinkled dress and Earl Cleaners was able to steam it on-​the-​spot! I waited 5 minutes and out came the masterpiece.

They have gone above and beyond. Almost all of my clothes are dry clean only and I have gone to places in NYC that look like they barely did anything with my clothes.

There’s actually a cleaners right on the corner from where I live and I drive by it to get to Earl’s. I’ve been going here for over a year now and I’ve been satisfied 100%. The best service was when I took an expensive weekender bag to them that was covered in soot for over 5 years. Earl’s son cleaned it by hand… it took him two days. By the time he was finished, my bag looked like new! It was amazing. They are all really nice. Earl himself is such a nice guy… so is son. I recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a good cleaners.

I really like this place. I just picked up my altered vintage blue dress for my wedding. Aside from teasing me! George was kind and professional. I had to have my dress taken in, straps shortened and pressed, they only charged me $ 20! The first time I went, there were sweet poodles running around too :) high quality affordable alterations. I would definitely recommend!

Picky husband is happy with his shirts! I am a lifer to come here now, hard to please the hubby. My feeble attempts to hem pants on the go when I don’t have time left in my calendar to sneeze more than once a day, well let’s say George took care of me. I can go to work with dignity now! Love the small business atmosphere and I want to support anyone that is not a chain. Great tailoring on my pockets too. They may be tight on parking but they sure isn’t a worry when I know that someone is doing good work on my clothes. Great place to come. The girls are not always as friendly as George the owner, they could smile a bit more but other than that a job well done.

I love this place. I come here for all of my dry cleaning as well as tailoring. George is a great tailor and has extremely reasonable prices. I’ve gotten everything tailored from pants to bridesmaids dresses.
There are also two really cute mini poodles that are always there hanging out. Residents dogs are always a plus with me.

I’ve never gotten anything tailored here but I come here often to get things dry-​cleaned, and the staff is friendly and go above and beyond. I admit I usually wait until I have a big pile of things to clean and so I forget about stains or various other issues. I have taken in quite a few items with random stains such as food or drinks or makeup and they have always been able to get rid of them no matter how old. In fact, once I brought in a dress I wore to a wedding months after wearing it and didn’t realize there had been a spilled drink stain on it until I went in to pick up my clothes and they told me the dress would take longer than expected due to the stain. I didn’t even tell them about it! But they got it out for me. Another time, I brought in a dress I had altered elsewhere and the hem had been taken in by some sort of shoddy iron-​on hem tape, which came undone in the cleaning process. They fixed it for me for free!
I don’t take the best care of my clothes but they make up for it: They’ve replaced many a button, sewn pocket holes and fixed ripped lining in winter coats. The only thing is dresses and blouses, which is the bulk of what I get cleaned, are kind of expensive per item, but I think it’s worth it for the care they take with each piece.

This guy did a fabulous job! I had a bad experience as another location and he rectified the situation, did a wonderful job at an excellent price! So pleased!

Excellent neighborhood tailor! I haven’t tried the laundry service, but I’m confident that it is just as good. Earl the tailor only works part time now, so call ahead to confirm he’s there if you need any tailorwork. They take credit cards too. Recommend and will repeat!

So now that I’m actually a customer and not just someone who locks her dog in her car and gets a ride home for a spare key from the owner (ala my previous review), I thought this was due for an update.
George is a lifesaver. He has shortened my not so standard length «standard length» yoga pants. He has lengthened my too short jeans. He has patched (and subsequently repatched because someone had to demonstrate her low squat one night). But the icing on the cake was when I took my purse in because my dog (the same one from the car in the story before) decided that he had to have the chocolate bar that was in there, and as a result, he ate 98% of the lining too.
While it took a while, and longer then I would have preferred, I got it back today and the lining is better then ever, and a much nicer lining too! And the best part? It was only $ 15 (and that included a cleaning)
Go rip something just so he can fix it!

I have been going to Earl’s for 16 years and my mom 33 years. They treat everyone like family!
The dry cleaning is superb. I once took my coat to a chain drycleaner when I moved 20 miles away and I will never do that again. No one cleans like Earl’s!
Now, when it comes to alterations-​no one holds a candle to George! His craftsmanship is above par. Again, when I moved 20 miles away and needed 3 skirts taken in I went somewhere close. Well I learned my lesson. ALWAYS see George! I tell ya driving 20 miles is worth it. I also don’t know what I will do the day he decides to retire. I told him he has to clone himself beforehand.

I needed a ball gown altered so headed to see George. I had called ahead to make sure he was going to be there, and was told 10:30−3. I arrived at 10:30 and they said he was running late. Not a big deal, but a little disappointing when I had to sit and wait for 10−15−20 minutes (and there’s only one chair). When he did arrive (with the poodle!) he was a nice little old friendly man.
I changed in a tiny dressing room (right off the lobby) and then, well, had to stand in the lobby while he pinned the dress… while other customers came in and out of the store. I’m not bashful by any means, but it was a bit odd. The fitting only took about five minutes, and he gave me a pickup date of six days (I was there on Saturday and he said it would be done Friday).
Unfortunately, when my husband went to pick it up Saturday (an extra day!) it wasn’t done. Luckily I didn’t NEED it that day, but I would have been ticked if I had. I don’t have many alterations done so I don’t know the etiquette, but I would have hoped they’d call to let me know it wasn’t done when they said it would be. The new date was Tuesday, but I gave them until Thursday and it was done – YAY!
The dress was altered flawlessly… and it fit perfectly… so they get four stars. They’d get five if they had a separate/​private fitting area and had the garment done on time.

They have been around for years, Family owned. They do a great job on the dry cleaning, I ask for very light starch and that’s what I get. Missing a button, they will find one and add it at no charge. My GF is petite and has all of her jeans and dresses altered here by George the owner. He does a lot of wedding, bridesmaid’s and prom dresses also.
When you walk in the door watch out for the guard dog, a elderly miniature poodle.
They are very well priced compared to the chain dry cleaners. Also very honest. I left some cash in a suit jacket. Did not even know it was there (long night) When I picked it up, there was an envelope with the cash. It’s on Rochester Rd between 14 and 15 mile. Check them out !
