The hidden gem of Ohio City, love this retro and hip little place. From antique shirts to other appeal, you can find your one of a kind pieces here. The young gal was so hopefully and helped me find this black sheer with rhinestone short great for a night out. They also have adorable little odds and ends that would be perfect in any Home Living magazine. Even if the used clothing world is not for you, try it out. Don’t judge a book by its cover and take a gander through this home store.

I would like to preface this and say that it’s cool that this is here and that Cleveland can support this shop (though there is a design business too? makes sense now –I always thought they were overstaffed for how much merchandise I assume moves through) BUT it’s super depressing if you’re ballin’ on a budget. I literally put my hand on my heart over some of these prices — and I understand the extra costs of local/​US-​made goods, but whaaaaat? This is Cleveland, not DC or NY. There’s not that much to browse — the space is well done and… spacious, but unless I want a very specific item, ??? Nice place to stop by once if you’re looking for the type of stuff they carry.

While this boutique as gone through some ch-​ch-​changes, it has grown into the fabulous R/​S it is today – and I couldn’t be happier!
More vintage styles, frocks, locally-​made CLE tops, mens wear, baby and childrens stuff, glasses, cards, accessories, hand-​crafted jewelry – LOVING. How about those flower headbands? I mean, come on. I need one in my life. It’s the perfect mix of local designer, vintage and crafty goodness.
Last week I stopped in for a Father’s Day card and ended up leaving with a hilarious one, plus a pair of vintage glasses. On top of that, I wanted like 15 other items in the store. I was short on time them, but I’ve already planned a return visit in my mind.

I was in about a year ago, and there was so many cool items and staff was great, but I stopped in today, and the whole feel is different. They still have great employee, but a little over priced.

Room service is an authentic and local goods boutique. A gem to the market district, it’s home to many goods besides women’s clothing. I really love it and the people working there are always very welcoming

Too cute! I loved this store! I love shopping local and supporting local companies and artists. I actually went to find another store, but after not being able to find it, I figured I’d just meander around for a bit. So glad I did. I got the most adorable Christmas cards, printed in Lakewood. AND the cutest sweater! (I know I know, you shouldn’t buy yourself anything so close to Christmas, but I couldn’t HELP it!) Very unique fashion options in here. Love the Cleveland prints! I’ll have to come back sometime and actually LOOK around, and not be in such a hurry. The service was super friendly too. They helped me find everything I was looking for and made me feel welcome.

This store is a gem. Super cute and full of treasures! Tons of artsy gift options and Cleveland minded do-​dads. Friendly service. A bit high priced… but these items are not commonly found. I will definitely be back in for gifts in the future! And probably some gifts for myself as well!

It breaks my heart a little not to be able to leave a five star review. I am a huge fan of all this shop’s owner does for this city, and I’m rooting for this business and all her projects, and there’s a lot about this store that is very charming. I’ll also say that my critiques are easily addressed, not irrevocable or intrinsic, so I’ll look forward to coming back to write a more positive review in the future. At present, though, Room Service is OK, but a little bit disappointing.
First: when I walked in there today, the place just smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. The smell was strong enough and fresh enough that I could in no way persuade myself that it had blown in from the street or next door – it seemed the only explanation was that someone had been smoking in the back. Maybe I’m wrong, but if I’m wrong, they sure need a new ventilation system. That may not be a deal-​breaker for everyone, but it certainly left a terrible first impression on me, and it immediately ruled out my buying any of the adorable vintage outfits or Cleveland-​themed clothing or bags I wanted (I bought the latter elsewhere instead). I’ll confess that it left a negative enough impression that perhaps it colored everything else too strongly, because I really just wanted to get out of there quickly. So hey, if you’re a smoker, take what I say with a grain of salt. Not everyone is as touchy about this as I am, but it did lose this one person’s sale.
Smell aside, the store itself is completely adorable – but the items within it are unfortunately pretty limited. The owner really is a genius designer/​decorator – her experience with interior design at Anthropologie, etc. is very obvious. Antique typewriters, cool old boots, well-​arranged linens and tsotchkes: I wanted to buy all the displays! On the other hand, alas, the items actually for sale are quite few, so unless you happened to want one of these very particular gifts, it’s hard to find something to buy even if you wanted to (and I wanted to: I came in not to browse, but to buy). I realize that no one wants to tie up huge amounts of capital in inventory unless you have confidence it will sell – tricky in our beloved Clevo – but without more variety, there’s no chance to linger, discover, consider, and find. It takes 5 minutes to wander through the store, even though it is interestingly and thoughtfully laid out. I wish there were more interesting books, household and kitchen items, decorative things from clocks to ottomans to doormats to plates to wall-​hangings to calendars to vases to… well, just *more* cool «lifestyle» and vintage and hip urban stuff of the sort that’s already there. Because her taste is fantastic – truly. But any shopper needs more than a few dozen items to choose from. And one gets tired of buying earrings as gifts all the time.
The service is always first-​rate. Extremely friendly without crowding you, helpful and professional. The store is in a terrific new location, with lots of other little places to wander around nearby, so you can spend several enjoyable hours in the area shopping and eating, etc. Room Service has a clear vision, a great aesthetic, a lot of promise, but it is simply too thinly stocked, at least for this particular shopper. And there’s no excuse for smoking in a place that’s selling fabrics and paper goods that are going into people’s homes.

There is more Cleveland-​love in this store than any other place on the west side. Prints, shirts, cards, aprons, jewelry – if you want to show off your city without resorting to something that could have been found in an I-​90 truck stop, this is your place. Nearly half the store has locally crafted products immortalizing the city. As for everything else, it’s quirky and quality-​made. You should expect to spend a little more on your purchases, but considering that you’ll be supporting Cleve-​artists and a small business, I’d probably say it’s worth it.

We stopped in to pick up a few things on our Christmas list — and — OMG! I love, love, love this place! I’ve never been before, to this location or the old one, but I love all the local t-​shirts and Cleveland prints.
I had to keep reminding myself that I was only there to Christmas shop! I kept thinking «And I Iike that, and I like that… and that… and that.» It would be very easy to spend tons of money in there! Some of my favorite things that I saw were homemade holiday stockings — so cute! — and handmade jewelry.
We ended up picking up a variety pack of cocktail Elixirs (which I highly recommend!) for our friends but we will definitely be back to pick up a few things after the holidays!

Room Service is super charming. I’ve always loved this store, they have my dream coffee table. It’s a shame I’m working on a coffee and cupcake budget, because I would buy everything in here.
But (as always) I’m not just basing this review on product, but the customer service is always spot on. They’re always super nice, and understand that sometimes I just want to browse. I don’t feel hated for not buying something that day, sometimes I’m just looking for ideas for gifts. And then I’ll come back later and buy them.
In addition to the new store, right now they’re hosting the Made in the 216 holiday market. Go check it out, and buy stuff. When a friend and I went the other day, we left feeling super inspired. I almost bought a baby onesie wrapped up like a burrito, and I don’t even have a kid.
All in all, Room Service is always wonderful, but definitely check it out soon to get some local Christmas shopping done!

Really cool place! I had never been to the old location, but stopped by the one on West 25^th today. If you are a Cleveland Buff then you will love this store. They have some rare Cleveland prints and gifts. I bought a cool ctown tshirt. They are the real soft kinds with all the retro logos. The area is a little sketchy so be careful. It’s nice to support a small business located in city limits. Good Luck!

This place is wonderful! My rating is 25% on merchandise and options (everything is adorable, and unique), but def. 75% on the amazing customer service!
I called Room Service around 5:45 because I needed to swing by and pick up a cute apron as the «icing on the cake» for a bridal shower gift. They close at 6, but the kind woman working there (shoutout to Jennie Doran) said she would stay open until I arrived. I started my drive to W. 65^th…
Little did I know — they moved! I checked Unilocal and saw they were now on W.25^th. At this time, it was already past 6. I called Jennie again, and she was so nice. She told me not to worry, and she’d stick around until I arrived. SO NICE. They ended up having to stay open long past 6, and I TRULY appreciate it.
The apron was exactly what I was looking for — cute, hip yet classic, and perfect for my friend. They had a lot of apron options, from full aprons to half waist aprons — all adorable. I’ll be back for sure, as all my friends continue to want to get married, and it’s fun to add something on top of a generic plate off of a registry.

I’m not so sure the move into the new space on W. 25^th was a good idea for Room Service. Well, let me re-​phrase that. I preferred the old location AND merchandise assortment when they were located on Detroit Ave. It seems the new, larger space on W. 25^th is much more focused on findables and gifts, not so much clothing and wearables. The square footage swallows up what little merchandise selection they have. I walked in and spent about 5 minutes in the store and walked out. I was very disappointed. What happened to all the cool Alternative label and Made in the 216 clothing you used to carry? Bring back the old Room Service format, please!

I love this new location. It’s bigger, more spacious thus containing more «stuff». They also house t-​shirts from the CLE clothing line (which many of my relatives are receiving for Christmas). There are many local knickknacks and home décor. Some of the items are a little pricey and their clothing selection is more limited than it used to be but it’s still a great place to just come and browse. I think my next purchase may be a necklace made from old watch parts.

I dunno. I usually love stuff like this. I’ll be the lone non-​glowing reviewer.
I went to the «Made in the 216» event today. There was plenty of cute stuff.
That said, I myself, was «made in the 216».
I LIVE «in the 216».
I have a «in the 216» BUDGET.
All of that means that I could not afford much at this event.
I was excited to see some kids t-​shirts and onesies — it’s very hard to find kids clothing that isn’t totally lame. But most of the kids stuff was ridiculously priced. I understand they’re handmade. I get that it takes time. I make art myself. I totally get that someone wants to make a bit of a profit.
I don’t think that selling a onesie for $ 25 is acceptable in any way, shape, or form. There are many reasons for this — babies get food, spit-​up, and various other unmentionables (baby mice) on them. How much fabric is really used to make a onesie or a kids t-​shirt? Not much. Also, they’re outgrown in a month. I feel guilty spending $ 25 on a t-​shirt for my «made in the 216» figure — and I’m not getting any skinnier.
There was a lot of stuff I would have loved to have purchased. And to be fair, I have seen handmade kids clothing priced higher (or the same) elsewhere. And the kids stuff was only a small part of what they were offering.
I know Room Service probably has little to do with how items are priced. I assume it’s up to the artist/​seller. I would still go to their next event and visit their shop again. Maybe I’ll just have to save up beforehand.

Ultimate place for special gift items or for something special for yourself! Danielle is awesome and super friendly. She supports local artist and designs and her Made in the 216 events are awesome and so much fun.
The merchandise includes housewares, jewelry, clothing, posters, prints, baby clothes & gifts. The neighborhood is booming with great places to eat and a new theater. Make a day or night of it.

Room Service is the kind of store that absolutely necessitates constant visits… they have SO much wonderful stuff that it’s impossible to see it all in one trip! And by the time you’ve made the rounds a few times, they have more!
From affordable original art to nifty housewares, Room Service is a staunch supporter of local artists and manufacturers. Their «Made In The 216» events are quite simply EPIC, and it’s beautiful to see a local business that does so much to support the scene.
High-​fives all around!

My friend opened and runs this store on her own and it kicks ass!
She has been in the interior decoration/​home décor field for years (including time spent in Los Angeles) and she decided to do it her way for the city of Cleveland.
I love it!
In the hip Detroit Ave. neighborhood, Room Service is surrounded by tons of new independently owned shops.
