El Pueblito Restaurant

My wife and I visited El Pueblito for the first time tonight. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and thought the salsa was very good; we like spicy! To cut to the chase, the food was really good! I highly recommend the chile relleno. The service was a little slow, but I think they were under-​staffed. The waiter/​waitress were really nice. We will definitely be back as we try to find more eating options in Clovis!

Very Americanized not authentic at all. The salsa tastes sweet you can tell it came from a large plastic jar. Everything was bland and tasteless. If you want real authentic flavorful Mexican food this is not the place for you. Service was good and everyone was very nice hence the 2 stars.

This is a solid Mexican place, where you’ll find all your favorites. Lunch specials are a super deal: 2 tacos, rice & beans for $ 5.50 – really? My combo (#23) had shredded beef taco and enchilada, AND a chile verde burrito (w beans and rice!) About $ 10. We’d go more often if we lived closer. If you live in Clovis, definitely check them out. VERY nice owners, too.

Food and price make it 5 stars. It’s old, not updated. But family friendly and quick service.

Our go to Mexican restaurant, I occasionally crave their chips and salsa. They always treat you with kind and quick customer service!

This is our go-​to Mexican food restaurant (we love Javier’s but they’re closed half the time we are in the mood).
El Pueblito had very reasonable prices, amazing salsa and fresh chips, and large portion sizes with great service consistently on every visit.
Margaritas here are good, large, and tasty. We enjoy the chimichangas, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, and I’m rather partial to the chile rellenos. As is typical, meals come with refried beans and rice and both are very good.
The restaurant itself is a little dated with dingy lighting and kitschy décor but that, to me, adds to its charm. There’s a bar in the back, plus another room with a pool table and games.
We love visiting here for good food and a relaxed place to enjoy hanging out with friends in a casual setting.

Give me Cheese Enchiladas all day long! Nice quiet restaurant with excellent food. Very friendly staff. The Deep Fried Cherry Chimmy is so good, but it’s so bad, but it’s sooooo goooood!

Great food at affordable prices. Very friendly service and my new favorite salsa. This is my second visit and the food has been consistently delicious. I just wish I lived closer but it is definitely worth the drive.

I’ve been here a few times and every time it is consistently good. I wouldn’t call this place my favorite Mexican joint but it’s definitely not terrible. The décor is a little dated and could use an update.
The customer service is so so. On the one hand they are very nice but on the other they are kind of inattentive and unorganized. We had one guy take our drink order, then another lady take our food order and deliver our food then never saw either of them again.
The food is actually pretty good. I’d highly recommend the chile relleno and enchiladas. Overall worth a visit.

Went to this restaurant Saturday nite for dinner and was very disappointed! My coffee was cold, the food cold, the beans very salty. My sister in law had to send her food back as the meat was hard. Not impressed

Been here a couple times. Good food. Decent service
Called a to go order in to make our night easier and they sent my wife home with the wrong to go boxes.
When you call an order in to go its for the convenience, not to be sent back to get the food right.
GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!

Had enchilada and two taco plate at lunch. pico de gallo spicy good but watery ask for lees watery, but still watery. too much salt in the enchilada sauce, so much i had to take blood pressure meds. previous experience has been good, but today, not so. my guest also had her blood pressure go up as well. the staff was good, kept me with tea.. but too bad

I have been coming to this restaurant since my children were babies 15 Years ago. The food has always remained the same. It is great! The salsa is spicy… just how I like it and my favorite is the grilled chicken salad. The staff is always friendly and I still crave this food all the time. The faitas are a definite must have! And I love the Ice Tea they serve here. Perfect!

My wife and I had El Pueblito for the first time tonight, and it was some of the best Mexican food we’ve had in the area.
We ordered chicken and beef fajitas, and both meats were cooked perfectly. The veggies were seasoned well and not burnt the way that they are at most restaurants.
Best of all, my water glass was never empty, my beer mug was never warm, and the owners took time to greet us on the way in and on the way out. I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good place to have a beer, hang out, and eat a delicious, yet low key, meal!

I love everything about El Pueblito. Look no further for the Valley’s best Mexican Food. The service is amazing, the atmosphere super comfortable, and everyone cares that you’ve had a great experience.
In the 15 years I’ve been going there for meals, I have never once left there anything but super happy.
Love the Garcia family and look forward to seeing them the next time I’m in town.

So I’ve never been here before and so far ehh. The food is ok and the service is not the best. I don’t think id come back here.

My second time here. Not insanely amazing, but it didn’t suck. I had the chicken fajitas. Chicken was good, not overly blackened, and the vegetables (onions, green peppers) were cooked well, unburnt. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the rice was very… generic. It LOOKED like a Mexican rice but was pretty flavorless. Overall pretty good experience.
My only complaint is that the chips are kind of thick and hard. Still not bad though. I was satisfied.

I was excited to try this place out and had heard a lot of good things. Unfortunately, it was just okay. The salsa was really good but the chips weren’t fresh. The service was good and the prices were fair but the food portions were on the smaller side. Even the lettuce in my dinner salad was bad. Sorry to say, it was nothing special.

This is a wanna be Mexican restaurant playing Mexican music for a clientele of white American customers.
Ordered Enchilada with shredded beef. Had a off taste of… hard to tell… lemon?
Chile Relleno was on the small side with similar taste as the Enchilada.
Beens are good
Rice is average
Ice tea way to strong

We’ve decided to never visit this restaurant again.
On prior visits, the food was only mediocre. But today, it was bad. The chicken tasted like fish, almost like it was old, and possibly rotten. Also, the portion sizes were small. Not like most really good Mexican food establishments that make sure the plate is full, and welcoming. We were never offered sour cream.
We got three entrees and four drinks. Two margaritas, a tea and a child size juice. The drinks cost us $ 18.00 and the food cost us $ 22.00. The food price was OK for a restaurant that serves good, quality food and good portions, which this one did not. The drinks were way overpriced.
The service was alright, but the waitress was a little touchy, and somewhat rude. The place could also use a good cleaning.
