The people that own this are really nice! We had the pulled pork and chicken sandwiches. The meat was overly smoky! The chicken fried rice had so much sage in it I had to stop eating it! The au gratin potatoes was more like mashed potatoes! We probably won’t return due to the heartburn we had the rest of the day!

Pulled in the parking lot to get tacos at the taqueria near by and saw the sign for Smokey’s. So happy we decided to come here instead! Located inside Peacock Market — it is fantastic! Hubby and I split the Old Dudley(tri tip and hot link sandwich). Ridiculously tender tri tip and nicely spicy hot link. They halved it and served it separately for us. The fries were freshly made and delicious. Don’t skip desert — the peach cobbler was equally good! Will definitely be back!

Local guy makes good. Smokeys moved from McKinley and First to Old Town Clovis inside the Peacock market on Tollhouse. Husband had the«Old Dudley», a hotlink and trip tip sandwich right amount of spice and plenty of meat. I had the brisket sandwich with dirty fried rice– Amazing! The rice was delicious, flavorful and plenty of it. The brisket was the best brisket I’ve ever had– tender, moist and seasoned perfectly. Hot or regular BBQ sauce. Limited seating inside and it ain’t fancy but so darned good. And he volunteers and helps out the local homeless folks. A good man who makes good food. Give it a shot!

Mr Gregory Washington has elevated BBQ to a fine art. I’ve had his chicken, brisket, hot links, ribs, and ham; honestly, you can’t go wrong no matter what you order. Prices are more than reasonable, considering the quality of the food. Good selection of side orders. This is the real deal, true authentico, if you ever feel the need for some BBQ that will have you licking every finger when you are done, this is the place to go.

The best around ! Tender, Juicy, and alot of it. This place is tuck away in the back of the Peacock Market in Clovis. You can smell that wonderful wood smoke from a mile away. The beans go perfect with the smokey meat and they aren’t just dumped for a store bought chili can. These are real BBQ beans. I had the pork ribs and brisket. plenty of meat on both and enough for two meals. My son had the hot link sandwich and he raved about it. This is not your typical bbq chain restaurant stuff, This guy knows what he’s doing.
