I had heard good things from a friend who purchased his boat here & recently had to do some repairs as well. So we called when our boat broke down mid-​vacation.
We were hoping it would be a quick fix, so we could get back on the water & back to enjoying vacation. Upon calling the service advisor said bring the boat down & we can assess it today & let you know & he estimated a few day repair depending on the diagnosis. We got up early & loaded the boat onto the trailer & drove it there.
We arrived and we waited behind another patron for quite a long time. My estimates 20 minutes. I looked through the wake boards, clothing, boats. It took awhile & there was only one guy at the service counter. But finally it was our turn & he took our info & said go park it out in the field & we’ll call you once we look at it. I guess I should have known when I saw all the boats that there was no chance they were going to do what they had said. But I was trusting & figured they know what they’re doing.
So that day rolls around & the next & no word on what is wrong. So my husband calls to inquire hoping it was something easy & quick to fix, but when he reaches the service dept. we are informed that they have yet to even look at the boat & they won’t be able to for a few more days even.
My husband again conveys are situation of being on vacation & the reason we brought it to them was they said they would get right in it since we are here for a limited time. But they stood their ground & said they could do nothing for us. My husband advised he was coming to pick up the boat. And we did & we took it elsewhere & had a great positive experience.
Perhaps they only care about people that they have sold boats too. But our family comes every summer & we will not be back to Hagadone & we will share our experience with the other boating families we meet here for vacation.
