Stopped in after the Basketball game. Didn’t expect anything special, but I was disappointed even at that. The French Dip sandwich was just about the worst thing I’ve eaten in a very long time. Tasted like they pulled it out of a box that had been buried since the 60’s. The pizza was ok and the burgers were pretty good. The philly was ok, but small and the meat was a tad bit questionable. They should just take these off the menus if they aren’t going to put any effort in them. The whole place could use a little cleaning. It had the dirty water smell you get out back of a restraint, only you were inside. Haven’t been there in a while and probably won’t be going back.

What an awful place. The manager at the time we went has no idea about customer service. Very seedy waitresses. food is awful. service is terrible.

Not anymore. They have priced themselves out of my business. $ 6.50 for a draft of hard cider.(regular) Ridiculous. Plus, unless you are watching a game with a Texas team, it isn’t easy to get it put on the screen. There have to be better places to watch a game.

Love this place. The staff is great, Rob, Kayla, Tina, Stephanie, Jessica, Amanda, Richard(though I believe he has now moved on), and a few others. Such a great group and I want to leave them good tips because they provide good service, and treat you like you are part of a family bar. If I ever open a bar I’ll seek the folks out because there really can be no greater value at a bar than feeling like you belong there. Thank to all of my beautiful friends, Santa!

I was surprised by the huge selection of beers on tap. That did it for me. If you’re in the mood to watch a game with some good bar food and a wonderful selection of brews, then this is the place in college station. The staff is quite friendly as well. Plenty of TVs to watch a game and also some pool tables and darts.

Stopped in to kill some time while waiting for a meeting. Found this place thanks to Unilocal and when I drove up I was a bit skeptical. However after walking in I felt right at home. It was the middle of a weekday so it was pretty empty but upon sitting down at the bar the bartender immediately came over to assist me. She never let my beer get empty before asking if i’d like another. She was very friendly and helpful. If I lived near College Station, I would definitely be a repeat customer.

If I could pick zero stars for this place I would. I was there last night for NFL fantasy football draft and I was kicked out around 7 o’clock on the assumption that I was drunk. I have been in that establishment since 11 o’clock in the morning. I have gone to this place so many times, but never have I ever been treated this way. I hate this place and I would not recommend you to go please this a lot of other places around the area that you could go to! But not this place!!! It’s not worth it.

Prices are outrageous, service sucks(really horrible) and the the specials are not worth my time. I agree with most of the other low star reviews. Not much has changed.

Good Lord, I have flip flopped on reviewing this joint more than Hillary Clinton on Benghazi. Fox & Hound is part of a chain and in a rare exception I am giving a chain more than 3 stars. Why? I’ve been visiting here for 7+ years and they have always been expanding, slowly. Always getting better. In 2008(as I wrote) it was a smoky hell hole. Yeah, we went here when people used to smoke in here and it sucked. Let’s just jump up to today. Fox & Hound hosted the very first ever home brew class with a local company. It was really fun and the facilities and service were great! Fox & Hound is a place that has a now large footprint and where you can hang out with the more mature crowd. No drunk frat boys on Northgate, and surprisingly great food. The fish & chips rock! The Fish & Chips came out super fast and had an outstanding batter and structure. The chips(fries had a fantastic seasoning that was not overpowered by salt yet a unique seasoning that I do not recall ever. I want to know what that is! Served properly with a bottle of balsamic to top with, this is one of the most excellent dinner plates in Aggieland. The broccoli should be mentioned as that is the side you want. The broccoli here is kick ass! For reasons I can not explain the broccoli is the best in this part of Texas. It is worth going here just for it, broccoli. No kidding. It HAS to be a local source.(Top Unilocaler in Texas) Yeah… :) Really nice service, extremely clean and frequent events. I have signed up for their event list which has grown to include some really cool stuff. For all the holy hell I have given Fox & Hound in all my last reviews(an embarrassingly long 6 years of updates) at present this is a great place. Staff of locals that have been here for years and they have expanded space where there are a lot of open pool tables and more quiet areas. It’s a great place to watch the game and the food has become quite interesting compared to back when they only had three items on the menu. Fox and Hound as of present looks to me when walking around in there, one of the coolest and most visited sports bar like places in College Station at present. I approve. :)

We came here with a large group to watch a football game. It’s great for a large group and I really liked the pool tables upstairs. It was great for a group of people, especially when half are very enthusiastic about a football game, and the other half are indifferent. Pros + Large, spacious area upstais + pool — great to socialize when you don’t have to watch every second of the football game + Large parking lot + Lots of TV’s having every game possible Cons — Food was just meh — A little hard to find a server — you have to go out of your way to flag someone down.

What a great place to hang out! Lots of games to watch on several TVs! Not too loud while we were there! I am still floored by the customer service. My wife and I were in town for SPARK Conference at A& M for our son. Wanted to watch Oregon game. Called Fox & Hound as they were referred to us. Asked if they were able to receive the Pac12 network and would they be showing the game. We were told yes! Within two minutes a member of the management team called me back to apologize that I was given bad information that the game was blacked out in this area! We went anyways and watched via wifi! BTW I had the best French Dip Sandwich ever! Great place!

I am only giving them 2 stars for the price of pints on Thursdays($ 2), otherwise it would have to be 1 star. I frequently come here on Thursday nights because it’s a popular happy hour spot for a group of coworkers/friends due to the cheap pint night. 80% of the time we go, we have to wait 10 – 20 min to have server come to our table, as well as a similar wait to get empty beers refilled. They are constantly walking around the area so there isn’t much of an excuse not to see they are empty or at least check up on the table. Every time we go, I end up having to buy every other round at the bar as we get tired of waiting around for the waitress. And to make matters worse they don’t even bring you the right beers. I specifically asked for a certain beer I had heard was good and wanted to try. She brings the beers and we drink them, great. Then after they have been empty for 15 min, I decide to go to the bar rather than wait another 15 min for her. That is when I order the EXACT same beer and the bartender(who knows a lot more about beer than the ditzy waitresses) says, «We don’t have that». So I say, «well that’s odd because I just ordered it and my waitress brought it to me.» And he said«Well it wasn’t [name of beer I ordered] because we haven’t even gotten that one in yet.» So clearly she brought me a different beer without even consulting me about it. GREAT! Good thing I am not too picky and like trying new things, but that’s just bad service. Just when I thought she couldn’t get any worse, I order my next beer from her which was a Sam Adams Oktoberfest(darker colored beer). She comes to us with beers that were clearly Blue Moons(or something that looks very light in color). She looks at my previous almost-finished glass of Oktoberfest as she puts down the beer and says«Oh, it looks like they gave me the wrong beer.» Shrugs then just walks away. HELLO??? Aren’t you going to take it back and get the right one then? At that point I just said ‘whatever’ and realized that the Fox & Hound is what it is. Cheap $ 2 Thursday beers with crappy service. I will still continue to go there if my friends/coworkers plan get-togethers there, but I will for sure order my beers from the bar. The atrocious service from the alright-looking waitresses(in short shorts that some of them should NOT be wearing) is just not worth waiting at the table for. On a related side note, College Station NEEDS a good sports bar, with nice big TVs, good food and service. I understand that is a lot to ask in a town like this as it is hard to get even just one of those things sometimes, but with the growing size of this community in recent years, I really think someone should open one. Heck, I would if someone would just invest in it :)

I’ve been here on a number of different occasions with a variety of group sizes. Generally, I like the bar like any other but the reason that I have rated this two stars is because of service. Service is always slow here. Even on a Wednesday afternoon with hardly anyone in the place it takes just way too much time for beers to come, for the check to come, for the payment to be applied and the card returned. There really is no reason for it. However, Thursday are worth it due to $ 2 pints. My strategy is to order two drinks at a time so don’t have to wait 30 min for my next beer. They also have some pretty good food and deals during late-night happy hour. This place also has pool, darts, and a good number of TVs going for it so it’s not too bad to go watch a game. TL;DR: Go on Thursdays for happy hour, buy 2 drinks at a time to avoid waiting way too long for your second.

Service was pretty good. Food was too expensive for my taste. $ 8 for some pretzels? I don’t think so. And no military discount at this location.

Very middle of the road place. If you want to go sit somewhere and have a beer, it does the job. They’ve got lots of tv’s if you’ve got a game to watch, and Thursday is always $ 2 pints all day. The servers have always been friendly to me and helpful. The biggest problem is that(at least on Thursday) they short pour their beers. Their pints aren’t filled to the top, and even though I’m only paying $ 2, I want a full glass. Pros: The servers have always been good to me. Even when they’re busy, they’re friendly and try to be as attentive as they can. $ 2 is cheap for a pint. Neutral: You really don’t have too many choices in town. Cons: $ 2 pints aren’t really pints. They’re closer to 90% of a pint. EDIT: Just want to mention that if you really want $ 2 pints, the only other options I have found are Carney’s on Tuesday and Izzy’s on Wednesday.

Like every other Fox & Hound location, this is pretty sub standard. It is pretty much a sports bar that is dimly lit. Some brewery mirrors on the wall. A couple of pool tables, and a wood bar. Lots of TV’s. Like all locations, there seems to be a nasty moldy dank smell that hovers around. The beer list is above average. The beer list is average. A few relative locals like Saint Arnold and some Real Ale. They use to carry some Fuller’s but I have not seen that recently. Though the keg quality is always pretty bad. Dirty lines, dirty glasses, old kegs. The food is as generic as it comes. Again, like every other location bland pub grub. Burgers, wings, nasty nachos, frozen fish & chips. Blah. Just the typical sports bar chain place. Go to O’bannon’s to watch the game instead.
