Sevcik’s Service Center

I’ve got mixed emotions on this one. the people are very nice and accommodating but…
I went there for an oil change. They did suggest I replace my cabin air filter for another $ 40 and I figured, the car’s never had it changed so I went for it.
The next day, I noticed a small puddle under the car. I’ve never lost a bit of fluid before and I was a bit concerned. So, I had them diagnose and repair this.
They replaced the power steering hose assembly and he valve cover gasket. Total: about $ 600.
the leak was still there. I brought it in and they popped the hood and found the cap to the power steering reservoir wasn’t replaced. They put it on and said the problem was fixed. OK, fine.
I noticed the leak was STILL there.
I took it back again and left it there for a day and they said that the oil drain plug was wearing out but they replaced the plug and said it was fixed and that it it continued, the oil pan would need to be replaced.
Two things come to mind.
1) If this was due to an ill fitting drain plug, why did I need to pay $ 600 for other stuff and
2(I’ve never heard of these wearing out. I have, however, heard of them being cross threaded.
All this from what should have been a simple oil change.

Their house oil, Golden West, is a cheap brand we have never heard of. It burned and clumped 500 miles over the next scheduled oil change. Their prices aren’t any better than their competition – spend your money on a good oil someplace else.

The guys here are so so nice and go above and beyond to help! Customer service is awesome! Highly recommend this place.

I can’t even begin to describe how kind and knowledgeable these folks are. I had to get a new battery a few months ago, and everyone at Sevcik’s was so very nice. They are wonderful, and they work quickly and efficiently. I will never take my car anywhere else!

Opened a Unilocal account just so I could give these guys 5 stars. Nicest guys you’ll ever find in a mechanic’s shop and the gentleman working the front desk, Frankie, is probably the nicest person I’ve ever met. I’ve priced just about every mechanic in College Station and these guys have always been the cheapest. I don’t trust my vehicles with anyone else.

My daughter’s 2005 Hyundai Sonata would not start, and she had it towed to Sevcik’s two days ago. Her father and I are out of town, and this would have been a great opportunity for a mechanic to take advantage of a terrible situation, but Sevcik’s did not take advantage. They were professional and honest. Not only did they fix the problems, they explained in detail what the issue was and showed the parts they took off and why they were bad. The old car runs like new, and we could not be more happy with the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. The price for repair was fair as well. Thanks Sevicik’s for giving us piece of mind!

I have given up on Sevcik. They have certainly mastered the art of service with a smile. They SHOULD be smiling … as they pocket money for doing work that I did not want done. I gave SPECIFIC instructions as to what I wanted … one rear brakepad set replaced. What I got was two new rear rotors, new brake pads and a new caliper. This, of course, more than doubled the price beyond the work I requested. What Sevcik likely did not know is that I had all four tires replaced last week, and I carefully inspected the rotors and pads at that time. All I needed were pads on one rear brake. There was no scoring on the relatively new rotors (about a year old and obviously never turned). The calipers were not sticky and moved freely. I agree with the reviewer who suggests that Sevcik can easily fool a college kid who is in a jam and knows nothing about cars … and the likely do just that.

I think these guys are good business and they get the job done, but I don’t like the way that I interacted with them while I was there. I think they’re probably used to dealing with a college-​aged population and so they assume that you don’t know anything about your car. I’ve tried going there before and they have attempted to get me to sign off on repairs that were unrelated to what I came in for while explaining my car to me as if I don’t know how a car works. These guys are good but they do tend to assume that their customers don’t know anything about cars.

These guys have been around a long time and for good reason. They’re honest and they do good work.

I just got my oil changed here last Friday for the first time. I wasn’t there long, and the guy at the front counter is super sweet and very nice. He even helped me out when I needed to change my baby’s diaper and they didn’t have a baby changing station. We made it happen lol. I will be coming here from now on.

Great customer service. I went on a Monday morning for an oil change. They had no wait. Also, they have a student discount.

Battery replaced and good to go within 15 minutes. Epic service, quality employees.
They do triple AAA discounts, present your card for 10% off.
For anything battery or windshield related drive around to the back and pull into the garage. No need to get out of your car. Replaced my battery in matter of minutes and off I go, were very professional and will come back next time I have any troubles.

Really great customer service experience for my oil change, today. The guys were friendly and prompt with service (it took less than 30 minutes for the oil change even though I showed up at 10am), and very attentive. Plus, the auto-​shop is one of the cleanest I’ve ever been in (including the restroom). Will definitely be back! I didn’t even mind that there wasn’t a discount or anything. :)

I’ve been getting oil changed here for a couple years, and they have done repairs for me in the past. This morning I stopped in just as they were opening and had them check my A/​C (it’s 100 degrees here every day this week) because it had stopped working. They fixed me up in short order. I could tell they were gearing up for a busy day (lots of work orders already at 7:30 AM) so with the new semester starting it might be a good idea and call for an appointment if possible.
Unilocal doesn’t show this but they are open on Saturdays, too, but I’m not sure of the hours.

If you’re in College Station and looking for an honest Service Center, this is definitely the place for you! All the guys here are honest, straightforward, and extremely pleasant to do business with. They handled every oil change and repair my entire college career, and, even now that I’ve moved to Dallas, I still grab wait to get my oil changed until I make a road trip down to C-​Stat.
I honestly can’t say enough good things about Sevcik’s and the employees they have. Management is extremely friendly, and I recommend them to everyone I know. Outstanding service!
