This is an outstanding park which is one of the best in Brazos Valley. Something for everyone here from a two mile long rubberized walking path to a walking path through 10 acres of woods. Numerous football /soccer fields with restrooms and a lightning detector robot that looks like something out of Star Wars. Tennis courts, exercise machines along forest walking running path, a pavilion with a kitchen, BBQ pits, fire pit, baseball and softball fields, and two lakes stocked with 6 types of fish for family fishing fun(and a free dinner). Animal friendly, with cool stuff everywhere from the massive«Sky Cutter’ sculpture by J. Payne Lara to the Wayne Bryan Bike Loop for biking, named after Wayne Bryan(founder of Aggieland Cycling) that died on his bike on Hiway 30 in 1997. His sacrifice and dedication to his community has provided a totally safe and excellent place to enjoy your bike with no car traffic. This park is also home to Brazos Valley Farmer’s Markets and a beautiful Christmas display of lights. One of the vintage homes in the park, donated by the family that donated the land is the«World Headquarters Office» for the College Station Parks and Wildlife Department and is open during business hours to walk through. Two thumbs up, we love this place.
