Precision Defensive & Tactical Shooting School (PDTSS) offers CCW classes and defensive & offensive self-​defense shooting. We teach what a person needs to know in a real world situation for defensive shooting and self-​defense.

We have training for women, including an anti-​rape course using different lethal and non-​lethal weapons and the use of firearms. We also have a home invasion course where we teach you what the bad guys look for and how to defeat them. Remember, the best defense is a good offense.

We can customize any class for individuals and groups, and we offer many other real world classes.

PDTSS has its own private range 20 miles east of Colorado Springs. The 160-​acre training ground has multiple ranges that allow for a multitude of training scenarios, including close quarter combat in our single-​story shoot house, engaging targets in and around vehicles, rifle training from 25 — 850 yards, and more.

History

Established in 1999.

Ed Rodriguez started PDTSS after he retired from the Army. He fought for our country for over 22 years, and more than 15 of those years were spent in Special Operations. He experienced and used these combat & survival techniques during the course of his service, so he knows what works.

Ed feels strongly about firearms and self-​defense training because he knows that anyone can be attacked at any time. «When I was a kid, my mother was a victim of a very violent armed robbery and had a gun held to her head. It haunted her for years and made her afraid to go outside alone. I don’t want others to have to go through that.»

Ed has also had the opportunity to share his extensive combat and weapons knowledge with other military personnel. Many of his students have contacted him to let him know that the training they received from him has been put to use in combat and has saved lives. «That’s what it’s all about… giving people the tools and training to defend themselves anytime, anywhere.

Business Owner

Ed Rodriguez retired from the Army after 22.5 years of service; more than 15 of those years were spent in Special Operations. He has extensive firearms and survival training with a focus on Small Unit Tactics, Jungle Warfare, Close Quarter Battle, Long Range Rifle training, and more. His real world experience comes from this military background.
